Where did you get Arachnophobia and Inflict Rate up XL? I'm not at endgame yet (at the time of this reply) cause I like to take my time and farm up stuff, but I wanna know where to look for these when I get into High Rank.

it feels good to see that i wasn't doing complete garbage when building my own silverwind nargacuga, he is the monstie i started using the most as soon as i got him, and thanks to you i now have a few ideas to complete my set since i was lacking 4 genes !

Im rocking a Silverwind set that doesn't use Arachnophobia (because right now everyone is using anti-para lol) but instead im using Dreadqueen's Noxious Poison attack. I hadn't considered the cyclones, because I don't think they count as a status to trigger salt in the wound, but extra damage over time is always nice! Zinogre!
no they dont count BUT sand barrioth also has cyclone chaser which hits pretty hard. sadly there are soooo many good speed types so im not using him anymore

Would love to see builds to lower tiered monsties. back on Stories 1 on the 3ds, I beaten a someone's Nargacuga with an Ash Kecha Wacha and would try it again with the newer monsties that are in Stories 2

Silverwind Nargacuga looks OP in Stories 2.
Feel like you may have underestimated or overlookd “venom queen” from dreadqueen rathian. That “severe” poison is NASTY.
Bleed 🩸 increases the dmg you take thats for sure
How well does bleed work. I haven't come across the skill yet
Its really potent it comes from silverwind narga if you got bleed on you , you will take lot more dmg
@@SCARFR3AK it increases the damage you take for a single hit, so for aoe it's massive with nargacuga. If you do like 60% to them with aoe and apply bleed, do it again and it'll do 100% because the bleed boost.

@@SCARFR3AK let’s say like that I fight that thing around lv 45 at the time and after applied bleed he like how should I put it one shot me without bleed he did half to third of my health and after bleed one shot me I was really shocked especially since he can double attack really nasty

Super late to the party, but when you do these builds, can you include the screen that shows in list form what each gene is? Having that one shot at the end is a good way to recap without having to reiterate everything again. And is mega helpful. Otherwise, solid stuff, as always!

Woo, I’ve been waiting the past few days for this video, thank you. Pretty close to how I’ve been building for him too. I’ve been going back and forth between critical and status. I got lucky with my inflict rate up though, I got a Nergi with a starred XL version of it.

I feel like for being a much more offensive monstie you can double down more in bleed and use more speed genes to optimise your damage further, cause after a point the 5% increases on the elemental bingos aren’t as worth it. And most times you want to put the the type of attack that beats the counter to your constant, I.e. if you’re a speed monster you should have power to beat tech cause your opponent will spam it. I like what your trying to do but I feel you’re nergigante fills this kinda niche much better due to its overall base states to act more as a table status applier. Just the opinion of a heavy pvp player from monster hunter stories 1. Otherwise still impressive your coming up with sets like this in your first stories game only a couple weeks out! Also Zinoger

hey do u have a thunderlord zinogre build or silverwind narga that u could share?
@@phantom8464 on my thunder lord set I currently have thunder boost, thunder lords Gene (power), his two other genes (neutral), rajang Gene (power), Astalos multi attack tech gene, khezu blood suck gene(tech), health boost XL(power), and a rainbow gene. I want to replace the health boost for potential so I can replace the Astalos for the harmony gene. The rajang Gene is there to be able to hit both enemies with a power attack, and I only need a single tech Gene cause thunder lord has so many moves and I don’t wanna saturate it’s move set. Thunderlord is basically the opposite to rajang where rajang is high key offensive while thunderlord has much more defensive potential, thus the potential to give a boost to thunder and power bingos. I noticed that his kinship is very expensive and maxed out harmony give a 33% reduction in price so things like rajangs thing is much more affordable. I use the khezu Gene cause it achieves the same damage as the astalos Gene however it heals u and uses thunder damage so Zinoger can be self sustaining while putting out a lot of damage and by boosting that Gene with a harmony Gene ur khezu attack will hit substantially. Also they also gave him a really crazy crit rate so if u wanna make a crit central set then I’d highly recommend that! I’m currently building my silver wind set however I made a bloodbath that unless blocked or surgated will almost always one shot hunters and 70% to nergigante with heavyweight swing. Hope this was helpful and I hope I gave u some ideas for your thunderlord!

@@laythalsibai9848 if you dont mind my asking, i am a HUGE astalos fan and would love to know any suggestions on a normal or potential boltriever (if we have any guesses on it) build. Atm, this is what i have. It is a thunder heavy damage dealer with high chance of paralysis and some crit heavy moves. He has at least one of each attack type to make it well rounded and some aoe moves:

I tested the bleeding proc on my dreadqueen, with bleed the kinship skill does around 2000 damage at level one, and without bleed it does around 1000.
I’m doung about the same on my doggo status build, bleed is really slept one

I'm building a Vacuum Blast 2 shot build. Non elemental bingos and speed bingos, All Out XL gene and Kinship Cost Down XL gene to offset that, and Salt in the Wound XL, which I still need all 3 of, and Inflict Rate Up XL, which I need 2 more. You bleed from the 1st Vacuum Blast, and then you die from the next one due to the increased damage.
Also, Zinogre, I guess. But I always watch videos in full so I won't be commenting these secret words again.

If you want to this for PvE. You can swap self-heal for Guided Spike Bomb for a single target nuke you can double attack with.

I dig the build on this Silverwind Narga. Cant wait to get one myself and even like the alternative gene options you mentioned. Been super helpful but oen thing i've found Nargacuga seem to lack is a lot of HP so i was thinking of adding an HP buff gene when i get one, but i also think HP buff genes are Power genes too... could be wrong though...
With the similar idea of the build you can take from Dreadqueens and Pinks to add onto strong Poison AoE/Single Target Speed abilites to keep a 110-120% speed bingo. Also a weaker but niche gene is paralyze fang from genedrome which is a 9 or 11 kinship for light damage with low chance to para this is a speed gene as well. I focus more on PvE so I am mixing in Poison/Bleed/Para with the speed focus so they come in as my "Speed" Switch. Also, Sand barioth has a Speed verison of the cyclone MUCH weaker but speed
You could make a status chaser build for this, Paradise. Status moves + status chaser moves are OP. I just wish we had a bleed chaser move.

I like using Parapoison chase for that extra damage when they get effected by arachnophobia, I make sure the weopon I use has it and sometime give it to my beater monsters after a afflicting them.
Narga is my favorite Monster in MH and i love the build.
Question (sorry if it's a stupid one): Does All-Element Def Up also apply to Non-Element attacks? Or would you need an additional gene for Non-Element Def Up to cover those as well?
I’ve read and seen myself that it does apply to non-element, at least my lackluster (L) does

i have pretty much the same build on my nergigante, working on the remaining duplicates of those XL genes. i decided yesterday to drop salt in the wound XL for more tankiness and im checking how worth it is. the build is mainly PVE so i wanted to have options for all attacks, arachnophobia, the speed poison attack from rathian and the power poison attack from rathalos are my current setup. im a bit disappointed at the lack of status options in elementless power attacks. i was thinking of dropping the rathian speed attack for either gendrome paralyze attack or the sleep speed attack from the great baggi to be able to apply a variety of statuses. i considered channeling the dreadqueen rathian single target attack for noxious poison but 30 kinship is not a cost i can easily afford to pay if i still want to build my kinship bar. other than that i wanted to have an aoe option and im still deciding whether i want to go with calamity slash, savage roar or the seregios aoe. im leaning towards savage roar because it applies CC and if i can prevent small monsters from attacking for one turn that's a win in my book

Zinogre... is pretty good! Though I wish that his TLord form was also speed... I already have a souped up Ivory Lagiacrus that I've been using because I just think it looks so cool. Seeing the raw stats on TLord is really tempting me to switch though...
I'm currently trying to get a Silverwind Nargacuga after beating it. Tried a co-op quest beating Kushala and I was hoping to get an SN egg but didn't get one.

Can you make a Seregios build, or any mid tier or niche monstie build. I feel that would be really interesting to see a lower tier monstie rival the top tiers like elders and deviants.

Zinogre. Thanks for all your guides. You are doing a great job and they are nice as I have probably become just as into the game as you have been. (non-stop playing) I really like watching all of them although I am only now at end game content having finished the story late last night.
Just curious Paradise. Have you thought about trying Blighting Fumes (its a skill from Emerald Congalala). Considering you already have poison covered and/or bleed you might find it more effective to just stop people's healing (though paralysis is amazing as well). Also Blighting fumes also has a chance at adding blast blight. Considering you already have salt-in-wound AND inflict rate up... might as well add onto the pain? Admittingly this is more a PVP than PVE thing but it looks like you are getting to that point where you care more about meta than purely pve.
Hey! I actually ended up adding that move to my nerg, it’s purely pvp which lets it down for pve. I will say so far I have has it activate WAY less than arachnophobia so I might go back

I feel like people are sleeping HARD on white shadow. I have mine XL ++ and it is Evade 2 attacks, active for 2 turns. Absolutely nuts
Does the Cyclone effect from Trap Cyclone trigger Salt in the Wound (ie does the game consider it as a status effect on the opponent)? Interested to try this build on my Pukei Pukei because he's a good boi. Haven't encountered Sand Barioth yet so I'm just using Fume L gene from Ruby Basarios for now. Love your MHS2 content.
If you had aligned your technical genes vertically or horizontally, you could have gotten an additional non-elemental bingo.
Of course, it's hard to change that after you've already started.

I wonder if making your fodder monsties better by stacking their genes while leveling them is going to be the strat for the meta. Just so you have upgraded abilities on hand when you sit down to build a team.
Please give me recommendations for my build :
1- arachnophobia (tech atk)
2- pump up
3- Venom strike (power atk)
4- crit eye XL
5- Divine bleesing
6-non elem attack Boost
7- salt in wound
8- inflict rate up
9- Venom Queen (speed atk)
So i have now pump up and crit that means i lose 20% for non elemental dmg but i feel like i do a lot more damage having those skills on. Not sure if I should add some aoe skill instead of pump up or crit.
At this stage what are your considerations for which Monster to use other than Element/Attack type or personal faves?
eg: why not use Bloodbath Diablos, Tigrex or even the Palamutes? I get why it would be weird to use Zinogre for this build tho
I got silverwind using nergigante’s ruinous strick and i add critical eye XL to it , it crits almost all the time

I think you can use the one shot abilities (monoblos,nercy ), buff them up to trigger often. Even with your immortal nergigante he will be dead for sure
Even upgraded twice they trigger very rarely.
speaking of Zinogre im making a thunder lord set and a dread queen set but dread queen is a tough one

Paradise do you use any of the critical, all-out, or vicious skills by chance? They seem to be very good skills and is the Non-element boost better than stacking those?

i have a very similar build, but im an only pve player, so i focused on single target status moves. I got the rainbow gene in middle and 8 nonele bingo with 1 of each type bingo. i kept his guided spike bomb for speed, arachnophobia for tech, and rathalos poison move for power. So ive not included the self heal and divine blessing. Now that i think about it, there may be a better speed single target option with status but i like the animation too much to remove it i think
its funny i made a build for naraga too buts it is more on crit healing cause i thought it be fun to see a narga crit dealing alot of damge while healing back the damge he took. even more fun in HTH if he gets a crit and hes the damage from that too basically having the monster deal no damage to it lol. naraga is a fun off set when you feel like u dont wanna always use nergi.
