Many people were just expecting that Yuji and Yuta will come along and finish the job with a classic JJK jumping. However, at this point, either Gege is planning for Sukuna to win, or he's gonna make one of the biggest asspulls in maybe the history of Shounen mangas. Either way, there is nothing we can do.

Hyping up Sukuna so much is a problem. Creating such a strong villain only makes more and more unbelievable that he can be defeated. To this point, giving Sukuna more and more moments like "he is not at his full potential" is just a way of no diff-ing characters with important character development.
In reality, I hope Gege finds a way of demonstrating that Sukuna is strong with ways of being defeated coherently.
Unless he just plans for bro to win, which at this point is a real possibility
Reminds me with Bleach and Yhwach with Kubo having to resort to the still silver deus ex machina to even defeat him. It was a really shit ending because Kubo wrote Yhwach to be far too strong to be defeated in any other way.

It would make sense for gojo to come back with some sort of binding vow to give up 1 or both six eyes, for him to realize that being the strongest was not the most important thing but being a teacher, I don’t think he’s dead yet it makes so much more sense for his character arc to in the end choose to sacrifice his power to help his students fight, in the ultimate JJK jumping avengers moment where everyone comes back and 5 v 1s sukuna (copium)

I’m a huge fan of the cell saga in dragon ball. My friend was arguing with me that this fight with Sukuna is similar. The fight with cell though didn’t feel too drawn out like this because we got a major pay off in the end with a main character’s development (gohan). In Jjk currently, there’s no pay off. Nothing seems to be moving forward and there’s no one to root for. Bringing gojo back in really does seem like the best solution.
I do agree, I love jjk but man, I have been feeling annoyed ever since Yuta was knocked out. Cause like, nothing is progressing. During Yuji and Yuta vs Sukuna, it felt like gojo's fight had an impact on what was going on and was allowing the two protags to keep up with Sukuna.
But now we know that sukuna is still holding back against everyone and will one shot anyone when he wants to. The fight just seems a bit drawn out at this point

We are shown he’s slightly battling an ideology against yuji, but it’s never spectated or shown what sukunas ideology is. All he does is criticize others of the flaws of their ideology and purpose.
We don’t even know what Kenjaku reasoning or backstory is really for wanting the merger to happen.
Sukuna begins the merger for a better opponent then they fight, not surprisingly the merger losses but sukuna is low on CE then it goes on to merge with Yuji creating the new strongest sorcerer.
This is the only logical plot left, else we'll have a Madara situation if the villains are to lose ultimately

Ever since Gojo was off-screened from ch 236, I was saying that felt Gege was trying cover up showing the process of how Sukuna could get one off on Gojo for him to die. Since then the stuff on world slash been funky with some questionable writing around the mechanics of it. If Gege got to kill of Gojo, so be it, but the issue is the lackluster execution, especially after such a great fight they had prior.

I feel the only thing that can fix the problem of "Sukuna was never going all out", Gojo feeling he would have lost even if Sukuna didn't have the 10 Shadows technique, and so forth, is the reveal of Sukuna actual technique. The main problem is so many of these fights we just have to guess why our beloved character loses that is NOT satisfying. With the current pace of characters dying no more victory will feel satisfying for defeating Sukuna. It will be a BS skill yuji hvnt show us but Sukuna also could not react and so oppsy i got caught in yuji’s body again.
Now I am starting to believe that Gojo purposely let himself be defeated, let himself die because he knows he can reviive himself or revived be someone, waited for the his students to step up and experience a powerhouse sukuna as their training.
you know, I think so too. maybe death is an important part of the process. after rebirth, a person becomes stronger. I think the difference in why gojo didn’t dodge it versus everyone else is gojo has never had to dodge and attack before because of infinity and so when he senses attacks that are being used unless it’s in someone’s domain he doesn’t think to dodge, i gurantee that we are to believe he did see the spark difference in sukunas attack but he didn’t think it would be able to cut thru his infinity, everyone else is dodging because they can’t get hit with it regardless of it being worlds slashes or not
We can also expect that even if Gojo revives Sukuna just one shots him again.
