I have used 2 VW brands for about seven years now, 2010 Tiguan and 2006 Passat Premium. I must say these cars drive smoothly and they are rugged too. If you understand german vehicles, you'll enjoy them. And you will never go back to Japanese. I hoping to get a Jetter too or EOS as a daily driver. Nice review, man. There's always room for improvement. But hey, I am a fan already.
Spot on! German cars the best for Nigerian roads but it doesn't seem to be the reality based on maintenance culture and parts availability, these cars were built to last forever.
Absolutely 💯
The DSG automatic gearboxes are apparently the best transmission
These reviews are great. We want more!!!
i enjoy these reviews its nice to see your perspective on cars
I love your nigerian take on cars so we can relate to it. Keep it up
Nice review!
Nice review bro
2.5l (5plugs) engine is the best
The engine size seems big to me
Pls how economical is the 2.5ltr engine to compare to Toyota spider
Nice one bro.. Make uche dey drop price
If you could do honda element next 👌
Pls review Volkswagen golf 4
Discovered you guys yesterday on the tube...coming from a petrol head like me, I'm impressed. There is still room for improvement though on your way to becoming the Nigerian "Top gear"
😅😅😅 thank you, with your support we would be bigger than Top Gear
Do a video on Toyota Yaris nw
Can u review passat
Great review. You did not mention problem of direct injection causing carbon build-up leading to misfires and other issues in FSI and TFSI engines.
let me add its a DI engine problem across brands but I think if as crank says you're a diy person you could occasionally use injector cleaner though carburettor cleaners are more effective, to manage the sooth in the combustion chamber. another thing use premium oil with the car that will keep away dirty oil from building up. check your owner's manual you will see codes for selecting oil.
I've drive Octavia with the same exact chassis and it's magnificent. Needless to say you'll start disliking Japanese cars afterwards.
2.5 engine is the best. Doesn't come with turbo. Use Recommended oil too. 5w-40 5w-30 will do.
Car is super sweet
Hi good day. How's the fuel economy?
Looks good but still not a fan of those engines, if a good mechanic dey available it can be a better car than Uber Corolla, but as all VW's electric always get issues
I bought 2003 Passat UK converted to leftie,I suffered ehn..
Good review there; however you did miss the DSG gearbox, which can be an issue forthcoming. Nigerian fuel isn't the best and you'll most likely have carbon build up issues due to it being a direct injected engine.
You can get one of these with a regular five/six speed automatic transmission.
Maintenance is key.
Full services which includes the fuel injectors cleaning or replacing.
Fuel filter
Oil filter
Oil and air filter.
Occasionally spark plugs.
Fuel cleaners as well.
All this saves the Engine from any of such occurrences .
This car and electrical issues sha.
I’ll appreciate if you can recommend a good Mechanic for my Volkswagen
I can give you one..
I know people ogudu and ajah
For a person that is newbie in owning/driving cars, is this car good?
Not advisable. You have to be mechanically inclined to enjoy this car.
Nice review and car , but Jetta, Luxury?
It has a little bit of luxury. 1. Great Sound system(has more premium speakers than cars of other brands in its class), 2. Leather seats(most of other car brands in its class use fabric) 3. Great Shocks
I'd say avoid the turbocharged engine in the Jetta. It's not very reliable, and most Nigerian mechanics don't know how to work on turbocharged engines. Stick with the 5 cylinder engine.
German cars are built to last forever…this is my 3rd VW mind you if you don’t have a specialized VW mechanic…you will get messed up however VW is a very strong car…
Can you recommend any good mechanic?
Kindly recommend
Sir, can you please recommend good Volkswagen mech?
Run away from any old Turbo engine ~2005 to 2012, the turbo charged technology hasn't been perfected and mastered yet by those time periods.
Dats not true i use a turbo charged w 5series 2002....no issues at all
It cheap because the value of the car is low and very expensive to maintain and can not be compared to the corolla it is really a complicated car
This car part is cheaper than Corolla.
@@olahevan
Thank you. People just say things based on sentiment
There's only one headlight bulb working on that car by the way🙃
I'd love to see reviews on Golfs
GTIs or Rs if there's any🥲
I rather get the Jesus shoes. Hallelujah somebody?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
THIS CAR DOSENT CHOP FUEL.... hahahahahhaa classic!!!
Currently driving one... Can't ever go back to Japanese cars.. Germans all d way
How is the fuel consumption to be compared to German autos
What year do you drive
German Cars are always over rated.
This is not a luxury car though
