    I have used 2 VW brands for about seven years now, 2010 Tiguan and 2006 Passat Premium. I must say these cars drive smoothly and they are rugged too. If you understand german vehicles, you'll enjoy them. And you will never go back to Japanese. I hoping to get a Jetter too or EOS as a daily driver. Nice review, man. There's always room for improvement. But hey, I am a fan already.

      Spot on! German cars the best for Nigerian roads but it doesn't seem to be the reality based on maintenance culture and parts availability, these cars were built to last forever.

      The DSG automatic gearboxes are apparently the best transmission

    Great review. You did not mention problem of direct injection causing carbon build-up leading to misfires and other issues in FSI and TFSI engines.

    • @iniutuk3614
      @iniutuk3614 Před 2 lety +1

      let me add its a DI engine problem across brands but I think if as crank says you're a diy person you could occasionally use injector cleaner though carburettor cleaners are more effective, to manage the sooth in the combustion chamber. another thing use premium oil with the car that will keep away dirty oil from building up. check your owner's manual you will see codes for selecting oil.

      I've drive Octavia with the same exact chassis and it's magnificent. Needless to say you'll start disliking Japanese cars afterwards.

    2.5 engine is the best. Doesn't come with turbo. Use Recommended oil too. 5w-40 5w-30 will do.
    Car is super sweet

    Looks good but still not a fan of those engines, if a good mechanic dey available it can be a better car than Uber Corolla, but as all VW's electric always get issues

    Good review there; however you did miss the DSG gearbox, which can be an issue forthcoming. Nigerian fuel isn't the best and you'll most likely have carbon build up issues due to it being a direct injected engine.

      @damilolaakanni Před 2 lety +1

      You can get one of these with a regular five/six speed automatic transmission.

    • @chrisbamfo3487
      @chrisbamfo3487 Před rokem

      Maintenance is key.
      Full services which includes the fuel injectors cleaning or replacing.
      Fuel filter
      Oil filter
      Oil and air filter.
      Occasionally spark plugs.
      Fuel cleaners as well.
      All this saves the Engine from any of such occurrences .

    Nice review and car , but Jetta, Luxury?

    • @AutoNaija
      @AutoNaija Před 2 lety +1

      It has a little bit of luxury. 1. Great Sound system(has more premium speakers than cars of other brands in its class), 2. Leather seats(most of other car brands in its class use fabric) 3. Great Shocks

  • @damilolaakanni
    @damilolaakanni Před rokem

    I'd say avoid the turbocharged engine in the Jetta. It's not very reliable, and most Nigerian mechanics don't know how to work on turbocharged engines. Stick with the 5 cylinder engine.

  • @unusual_Isaiah

    German cars are built to last forever…this is my 3rd VW mind you if you don’t have a specialized VW mechanic…you will get messed up however VW is a very strong car…

  • @ProfXsamson2023

    Run away from any old Turbo engine ~2005 to 2012, the turbo charged technology hasn't been perfected and mastered yet by those time periods.
