    Here is another blackpowder hunting story from Gyulaj, Hungary. I was lucky to film the first ever blackpowder fallow deer of my old time shooter friend in January this year. The hunt and the Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken rifle he used were a present from his wife, so this was a special occasion indeed!

    We here in North America could benefit from such traditions.
    Nicely done.

    Mr. Balazs, God let me miss or drop it clean, I;ve said that prayer myself, I don't hunt anymore. Never hunted with blackpowder. I can honestly say that I never had to shoot a deer more than once, and I never had to look very far to find the animal. Blackpowder firearms, or at least traditional ones, might just make this statement untrue. Don't worry about your pronunciation in English, it sure beats any of my Magyar. Thank-you for the excellent video, Dante.

    Greetings from Texas. I've been shooting a front stuffer for many years now and I finally had to get a visual aid because of these sixty-one years old eyes. My wife bought me the Leatherwood Wm malcolm scope. Yes it has improved my shooting tremendously. I recommend the scope highly. I also have enjoyed all your videos. I thought you had a French accent at first. I understand you very well. Looking forward to your next video.

    Good clean kill and beautiful country you have there. I really encourage you to come to the US and try some hunting here. Our game is large, wild, incredible numbers, and amazingly beautiful lands. We have bear, mountain lion, beaver, alligator, 100 types of deer, moose, elk, black bear, brown bear, boar etc. Nothing goes to waste either. If you dont want the meat you can take your kill to the local hunting butchery they will butcher it and then give the fresh meat to food shelters for the needy. If you dont want the skin they will take that and will be donated to a tannery or leather maker or the good will after its been cleaned and turned into hide or leather and sold to pay for the poor. Its a good system.

    • @steveburton9625
      @steveburton9625 Před 8 lety +6

      Wow Boredout454! Where the heck do YOU live in the USA? We have all the animals, but our "local hunting butchery" doesn't donate meat to the needy. We WILL personally take meat to folks we know who need it. Hides here are SOLD to tanneries by the butcher shops, and that money goes into THEIR pockets. Tanneries pocket the money they make too. Sounds like a cool system y'all have. Must be Florida, Louisiana, or one of the swamp states, if ya have gators AND black bear. We DO have some black bear here in Oklahoma, but no gators. :)

    Lubing the maxiball bullet then inserting it into the sabot is likely allowing the bullet to slip inside the sabot upon firing and reducing the necessary spin to stabilize it. No reason to lube them in sabots.

    Hola. Un video muy bonito. El Hawken de Pedersoli es excepcional. Espero que hagas una prueba con el Rocky Mountain del 54 a 100 metros de distancia, para ver su velocidad, precisión y la penetración de una bala esférica 0,530 (223 grains) o del 0,535 (229 grains) con una carga de 100 o 110 grains de pólvora suiza del Nº 3 (2 FFg). Saludos desde España para Németh Balázs. Miguel Ángel Navarro.

      hawkenrifles Hello. A very nice video. The Hawken of Pedersoli is exceptional. I hope you make a test with the Rocky Mountain of 54, 100 meters away, to see your speed, accuracy and penetration of a spherical bullet 0.530 (223 grains) or 0.535 (229 grains) with a load of 100 or 110 grains Swiss black powder No. 3 (2 FFG). Greetings from Spain to Balázs Németh. Miguel Angel Navarro.

    Y'all really have a ceremony after shootin' yer deer? We're mostly concerned about gettin' it outta there before the critters with teeth and bad dispositions arrive! I AM impressed that you guys take the time to stalk those little critters though. I stalk AND use a stand. This year, I have a goal of taking one deer with simultaneous shots from my two Walkers, and taking another deer with my Ruger, Old Army...of course, this will be during "primitive season". Hoping to get one with a crossbow, one with a compound, one with a longbow, and one with a centerfire rifle or pistol too! I guess we shall see, huh?

    The English word "second" only has two syllables: "se-cond" is how it comes phonetically. You're saying: "se-cun-dum".
    EDIT: It's not too important to annunciate the "o" too strongly.

      Where did I suggest that I'm a better linguist? My Hungarian isn't just bad, it's non-existent, can't speak a word of it.
      I didn't point it out for my own gratification, I did it because Balazs puts a lot of effort into the production of his videos, in a language which isn't his native tongue, and I'm sure he'd rather know his mistakes than not know them.

    • @capandball
      @capandball  Před 9 lety +4

      ***** I really don't have any problem with criticism, trust me. In this case it is true: my accent must be special for native English speakers for sure. :) It would be nice to improve, but now I rather spend my time for researching military history - and work in the meantime - than language courses.

      In Illinois they started issuing extra tags/ doe tags in 1992.Most neighboring state started same time. Theres few states with buck only rule for whitetail deer. theres more with a buck only rule for mule deer but thats got nothing to do with hunters. wolves and white tails are pushing mule deer out.
