In this video join me on 1009 taking on 196s towards Wakefield. The day started with 1469 but with it quickly getting swapped off due to it being in limp mode and being slow, 1009 was our replacement for the journey to come. Whilst these buses are commonly frowned upon when in the hands of the right driver they can easily be made quite good. Here you'll see some clever use of the gear selectors and some fantastic cornering to go along with speeds of mostly 30mph+ .
