Really nice video explaining the different neighborhoods, well done!
Thank you!
Very informative.....Can you tell me if these communities have reliable fiber optic internet?
Yeah, wifi is pretty reliable here. We never got big issues.
Hola from Queretaro. I live in Corregidora, and order groceries online for home delivery.
Happy I relocated to Queretaro in 2021 at 79. You still must be ALERT, wherever you move. I have been coming to MEXICO for over 61 years, and all 50 states of the USA, and foreign travel on my own dime.
Love all your videos, and thank you so much.
Hola from CDMX! Glad to know you enjoy Qro and Mexico! Good to see your support here! 😄
Thank you! This was very helpful.
Thanks for watching! 😄
Nice! Qro. has a great weather also! It’s awesome seeing you guys enjoy the great outdoors. Each community looked nice and the prices are affordable👍🏼
thank you, we’re here to help!
Very very bad traffic Juraquilla to downtown on 57. Today 90 minutes to Fiesta Inn.
Wow that's horrible!
Can please share mor detailed videos focused on house rentals in Zakia cuz I loved your presentations of this amazing place Laddy!.
🥰😍 I'm dreaming with joy to visit and then transition with my teens in a couple of years once they finish the current schools!
We did a few house hunting videos in Zakia with sales prices. Rents there are abt 10000 to 16000 pesos /month. We moved to Puerto Vallarta now and won't make another video about Zakia.
I hope you can make another video covering other areas, I’m sure there’re a few more worth mentioning, thanks for the info (currently debating between moving to Merida or Querétaro.)
We had another 2 videos abt neighborhoods in Queretaro mentioned in the description.
Very helpful
Glad to hear that
Also worth mentioning the college operating in Zibatá is not minor or small.
I really enjoyed both perspectives and so much information! My choice would be El Refugio, but I would also like some old school Mexican areas as well.
Good choice! refugio is pretty nice and has everything you need close at hand, but still close enough to el Centro
Good video great view of all the neighborhoods. QRO has neighborhoods for all budgets and taste.
Agreed! Something for everyone’s budget and taste.
The whole area looks to be very chill and family orientated.
It really is. That’s why we love it here🎉
😆
Lots of really good info here guys for locals and people considering queretaro, well done, gracias!
thanks, that was our intention. glad to be of service😀

I think for single people on a conservative budget it would be more economical to use an Uber or hire a driver than the thousands it would cost to buy and maintain a car with car insurance. What are your thoughts?
Stay close to the central or in the central. No need to buy a car. There are buses for traveling around.
Just curious, why you picked Querétaro instead of Mexico City to live . My wife and I spent 2 months looking for a place in the same neighborhoods you featured in the video. Even though they were all beautiful, we found many complaints in Querétaro compared to Mexico City . It’s warmer, more mosquitoes, too windy, traffic was always bad , not many parks compared to Mexico City . Going to be over developed soon , not much entertainment compared to Mexico City. Getting around is a hassle with all the u turns on freeways . More green spaces in Mexico City . Was wondering your thoughts on this . Thank you and great content !!
I haven’t been to either yet but planning to start my move in Queretaro. For me I’ve heard air pollution is terrible in CDMX- how do you find it? And which neighborhoods in Mexico City would you say are similar/ safe/ etc?
From my research I like Mexico City for the reasons you mentioned. But Querétaro seems like it would be more quieter in gated communities(no vendors with loud speakers, etc.), also a little cheaper, plus more properties with personal back yard space. We have pets and used to having a yard for them. In CDMX, we’d have to adjust to taking them out to public green space for potty breaks.
@@brennt1 actually , we live in a very quiet neighborhood in condesa , no noise , no vendors, almost to quiet walking the dogs in the morning and evening. We looked at homes in Querétaro with the back yard , did not like the wall around the property , felt like prison. Love walking our dogs at all the beautiful parks here . Good luck on your choice .
The main concern is the pollution as we have a 3 year old, and no back yard for our dogs which we are used to not walk them 2 or 3 times a day. Rents are cheaper here for bigger house. And it's close to cdmx to enjoy many things to do there. We do like Cdmx a lot and may consider move there for a change.
I’ve actually changed my mind and am going to start out in CDMX likely Coyoacán or Narvarte neighborhoods which I hear are quiet and green and maybe not quite as pricy as condesa or Roma. Can’t wait!
My husband and me will be moving to QRo very soon, we will like to buy house, which area do you suggest, we like a traditional house with patio, not those modern new houses. Can you mention about parking when you go to downtown, we’re driving from Texas to there. I don’t know Qro. but we speak Spanish. Thank you, blessings
That’s a tough question to answer because there are lots of different factors depending on your wants. Of course there is the historical center, Los Alamos, Jardines de Queretaro, careterras, and so many more. We even have a video with lesser known neighborhoods around Centro
What about developments like Mision San Jeronimo? Is that in an area you have reviewed? Or is that independent of a designated area?
Never heard abt it. there are many new developments here. Those we mentioned in this video are the very popular neighborhoods.
The “green sign” Walmart is Bodega Aurrerá/ Aurrerá Expess 😉
The Walmart Neighborhood is a green sign too.
@@rawd78 Got it 🙌🏼
Do you have to be a temporary resident first to rent here and can you still keep your US citizenship to live here permanently? Do also know if someone can still cast a US absentee ballot for US votes from Mexico?. Great vid!🤩
For Querétaro, it's easier to rent if you are residents. Yeah you can still vote and keep us citizenship.
Do any of these townhouses or condos charge what would be the equivalent of an HOA in the US?
Yes, they do. The last one we paid in Querétaro was 1200 MXP a month, which is quite high. I think we paid one of the highest in our area
Question? Is there fish in the lake by your house?
not really. maybe some tiny species
Roddy: you Should visit Corregidora and Huimilpan
We were just in Corregidora yesterday, in el Pueblito. Very nice laid back area. We enjoyed our time 😊
👍
We are moving to Queretaro from Saltillo and We have a 3 years old daughter with us. Kindly suggest the best place to stay in Queretaro. My husband will be working in TCS and we don't want to stay very far from his office. Plus we are focusing on the good english schools for our daughter. Which place you recomment ?
What or where is TCS?
I have a question. From what I heard, there are a lot of power outages in Mexico, so most factories are installing UPS or generators. Is it like that in Querétaro too?
they do happen. we tended to experience them more during our time in the Centro. zakia wasn't so bad
Hi Roddy. Can you please share the contact information for a rental agent you would recommend? We are looking to rent in Jurica, Juriquilla or El Refugio. Thanks!
Send me your info to lifewithlouie2020@gmail.com
What schools would you recommend?
it really just depends on the area and price you feel comfortable with. we've heard the American and Canadian schools are good, but also lots of Mexican private schools we've heard good things about.
Glad you give insight. These neighborhoods lack the Mexican soul and charm. All those subdivisions do. No diff between those & what they set up in the States. I can see why the Mexicans resent us.
Just remember, that no matter how many foreigners move here every neighborhood is still overwhelmingly local. So in our opinion, you can't blame foreigners for that. I think it comes down to costs
Lived in Juriquilla for several years, almost never encounter Americans.
Range to buy a house or townhouse in these neighborhoods? 120sqm minimum.
Abt 2.5m to 3.5m depends on the age of the house and location.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Thanks!
All this talk about a car makes me think why not buy a car ?
You can also choose to stay in the Central area which you don't need a car.
I am so disappointed with Queretaro, its dirty, crowded and not that safe. No desire to live here.
Not sure what part of QRO you were in, but compared to most Mexican cities it's none of those things. What part of Mexico are you in?
You've been nothing but negative comments about all of Mexico on this channel. Your opinions are dubious at best.
all those suburbs dont look like Mexico at all.
Well, Mexico is also not just old towns. They are all parts of the real Mexico!
