Whole thing about Charles is they said he moved to Canada and married, and I’d bet to a native woman, at that point in time Charles wouldn’t come back because if he did they would kill him and his family instantly, and really I think at that time they did hunt down and kill Charles as the tribes were gone he probably migrated to Dakota and that’s where the FBI got him and he more than likely refused to hunt down and kill John, Sadie and Uncle
I think in a RDR remake it would be dope if you got to meet the family he left behind as Jack, just to show there’s someone out there who relates to what he went through what he and his mom experienced and given Charles was a good friend does effect Jack who like all of us would hope would still be alive

John’s death was way sadder than Arthur’s.. Arthur knew what was coming, and of course rockstar capitalized on that fact and gave you the chance to redeem himself first.. on the other hand, all John Marston wanted in the whole world was to be a good father and husband and spent the last few years of his life trying to give his family the best normal life he could and in the end he knew the only way they would have a chance to survive is if he let himself get turned into Swiss cheese by the men that represented everything he hated about world. (Control through fear, corruption, etc.) Arthur’s story is about knowing his time was coming and getting a chance to redeem himself.. John’s is about doing everything he could to redeem himself and give his family a good life, just to be betrayed yet again.

Honestly, I just wish they'd fix some glitches in RDO. They make us pay 10 gold bars for vitalism studies, just for it not to work.

I do wonder what jack felt after Johns death, probably did feel a lot of resentment against him for leaving him again but maybe at some point realised John stayed with Jack to the very end to protect him. Maybe jack killing Ross wasn’t vengeance but justice.
