I love how many awesome little details they put into this game. Such as how if you loot sonny before he knocks out Arthur he has one more burdock than he has if you loot him after. Insinuating that he used that to sedate Arthur. Just intense detail and I love it.
I hate how characters respawn in this game, including the rapist. I didn’t go through all the trouble of hog tying him up and throwing him off a bridge, just to see him magically reappear.

RDR 2 took great steps toward the realism angle with shrinking horse nuts, bathing, eating, etc., and yet Arthur can blast a store clerk point blank with a shotgun, and the next day that clerk has a bandage on his head 🤦♂️ It’s just one of those things that take me out of it.

I agree on the point of other characters, though. minor npcs really shouldn't respawn unless they're townsfolk or something, not a very specific, made-to-be-killed rapist npc in the swamp you'll likely only encounter twice lol

There’s slower and more painful ways to kill ive seen in game. Shoot both his kneecaps out, beat him, drag him through rocks or cacti, water board him, set his house on fire so he can watch everything he owns be destroyed, bring him up to colter for a while and let frostbite settle in, then either let him live with the trauma, feed him to an alligator, or burn him alive.
This just happened with me while playing as John. I was honestly shocked,i was looking for the flowers for the exotics mission and randomly found this guy,i went there i shot his head off with my shotgun

Dunno if people are reading into this too much, since there’s not really any confirmation on what happened so it’s open to interpretation. During my play-through I thought he was just a mentally deranged guy that knocks Arthur out and robs him since the money goes down after waking up. I think Arthur’s Dialogue would’ve been way different if the guy went pulp fiction on Arthur.
This happened to my Arthur and I had to reload a save. This game unironically made me feel intensely bad for people who’ve suffered this in real life, Cuz I can always reload a save and act like it didn’t happen to my Arthur, No one can do that in real life and it’s fucking heartbreaking.
Even if it did, you would need to let it happen because it’s part of the storyline. No matter how much you save, it still happens. I understand your comment, we all want to kill that bastard too. It’s terrible how this happens to people.

There's a window on the top left side of his home. If he locks you out, you can shoot out that window and toss some dynamite in. It unlocks the door when he dies.

First time I was confused until I saw my arthur limping to our horse.. I had to pause for a while and felt so horrible and bad. I knew of the rapist but didnt know when you would encounter him so naturally I went back, hogtie him and fed him to the gators... Then after that, I Just killed each time because no more of my arthurs are going to go through that ever... edit: since everyone is calling me a creep for saying "my arthur" I'll say I wasn't sure how to word it and didn't think it would be that creepy than saying it like I was Arthur himself. but oh well, I ain't a creep lol nor do I have a collection of Arthur's in a basement... I don't even have a basement.
I think it would have been a neat detail to have the alligators drag their respective prey into the depths of the murky water. With all the incredible detail in this game, the single chomp alligator attack does leave something to be desired. Even as morbid as this sounds lol

@@CRAZY-M6641 I always do my suffocation torture, tie him, go to the nearest water (even better if you can camp there) then throw him into shallow ground and watch him suffocating for hours, grasping for breath. When im bored already, after camping for a few days, just throw him deeper for crocs, they love stressed scum meat.
Fun fact (well, not so fun): you can later have an interaction in the camp where Bill comes up to Arthur and knows about what happened, if I remember correctly, he says something amongst the lines of "I met a fella who really knew you Arthur *laughs*" and Arthur tells him to get lost.
Is it possible though? If you kill that guy right after, was it enough time for him to meet Bill and tell him what he did? I wenn back after I woke up and gave him a shot in the head but got Bills line as well 🤔
r@pe is pretty prominent due to the period the game is setting in. happened already at the beginning of the game with sadie at her ranch (we didn’t see the scene luckily but it’s so obvious she got locked in the cellar by the O’Driscoll boys, even a blind could understand that) also with the girl (I think her name was merydith or smth like that) charles and arthur saved from the murfree brood in the cave when cleaning the place for setting camp. and there’s arthur, which is an optional encounter but could still happened.
It's wild that they managed to get off with this but I'm glad they did. The kind of unexpected, strangely immersive content that melds into the experience. You as the player really do feel violated as you come to the realization of what happened.
Honestly this was so horrible to experience. I've had this happen to myself just a few months ago and it was just too realistic. I'm glad rockstar didn't play this up for laughs and make this a big joke like what happens to most male characters in media (I swear every form of media there's always been some joke about men going through this, I have to censor myself quite a bit because CZcams deletes my comments). It's not a joke. Regardless of who it happens too, it's never a joke. It's horrible and sickening and you feel dirty and horrible afterwards (at least that's what I felt watching this). While it was satisfying seeing him get hurt by the player... It was just so awful. Men are ignored and mocked so much when it comes to this, ofc the media ignores it and doesn't say anything. In fact they join in with the laughter and mocking. It sickens me. It's time people stopped with this nonsense and recognised the seriousness of it.

Shoot both his kneecaps out, beat him, drag him through rocks or cacti, water board him, set his house on fire so he can watch everything he owns be destroyed, bring him up to colter for a while and let frostbite settle in, then either let him live with the trauma, feed him to an alligator, or burn him alive.

This happened to my Arthur and I had to reload a save. This game unironically made me feel intensely bad for people who’ve suffered this in real life, Cuz I can always reload a save and act like it didn’t happen to my Arthur, No one can do that in real life and it’s fucking heartbreaking.

First time I was confused until I saw my arthur limping to our horse.. I had to pause for a while and felt so horrible and bad. Honestly this was so horrible to experience. I've had this happen to myself just a few months ago and it was just too realistic. I'm glad rockstar didn't play this up for laughs and make this a big joke like what happens to most male characters in media (I swear every form of media there's always been some joke about men going through this, I have to censor myself quite a bit because CZcams deletes my comments).
It's not a joke. Regardless of who it happens too, it's never a joke. It's horrible and sickening and you feel dirty and horrible afterwards (at least that's what I felt watching this). While it was satisfying seeing him get hurt by the player... It was just so awful.
