On the function grid, Goto TRACK EVENT, select the pad (hi hat) then click OK... and then comfirm... THAT will allow you to delete a Track Event without erasing the sample.
righter0o07 go for the SU if you find one in very good condition. MPC is more powerful. It more complex also. It is less funny. The SU is so easy that you don’t even need to read the manual that you start sampling and having fun just looking at the matrix and following the white line to tweet everything. Again MPC is rock solid and easy to repair. An SU will have encoders problem for sure and it is a pain in the neck to replace them
You can adjust loop length only individually for each sample pad, not globally as far as I am concerned. Press track set/setup, select sample pad by pressing the sample pad of your choice and then you can select the loop length of it. Best regards
JGW wav is not supported by the SU . There is a special software and USB reader that can help stopping using floppy disks. It is pretty cheap as 40euros. Personally I stick to a good ol’ ZIP : easy and consistent
Opposite here. I prefer doing it by ear. the less screens I have to look at, the better. Except for the su700 with it's ridiculous vfd screen, which I love.
The Yamaha SU-700 looks & Sounds the business I hope you do more to cover everything about SU-700 in time Stay Blessed keep Safe.
I forgot how good the su 700 is , It shall be out of the box this weekend.. Great tune ..
I am feeling the end result! Good job man

Thanks my dude, SU 700 is a mean little box
I hate to bother you. I installed the emulator but when I drag my samples it says files not found. I’m using the emulator with 16 bit wav samples.

Please make a video showing the difference between the Loop, Composed loop and Free. If you have the time. It would be greatly appreciated.
only thing stopping me from grabbin one is lack of waveform screen for chopping...

Can u make video on how to use the su700 external sampler controlled by another device like a computer. I have no luck..
I should pop out mine soon and try to run it from the mpc. Kindly remind me.
Hardware is just so much faster than software...!
The sound quality is trash🗑 the akai s20 sound way better
