Actually, taxpayers only pay for Trump's security. But that can be >$500,000 in large cities. Trump's campaign pays for the rest. That way Trump can prevent protesters from entering the rally. In fact, if you can stomach watching a Trump rally where he is supporting a local candidate, not even that candidate's signs/banners are allowed. It has to be all Trump, all the time.

The umbrella is like that one funny moment in the Access Hollywood tape, easily missed in the rest of the issues it raised, when Trump didn't understand that he had to push the bus door open to get out. He knocked on it instead, as if that would signal someone to open it for him. The guy just doesn't know how things work.

It is amazing on how fking stupid that guy is, even if you look beyond his lies. There was his inability to open doors, to close umbrellas, how he basically told FOX he is living a failing marriage (calling FOX on Melanias birthday or so, saying he didn't get something for her and also talking to them when they were in front of the WH admitting she didn't get any present for him either).
You can go on any level of human interaction and he will be a failure on it. He can barely read, barely write, failing marriage, inability to do simple things, constantly lies, is to lazy and stupid to spill any secrets, does have so little friends he fills the WH with people he sees on TV, after he got through with his family...
