The 'TRAIN OF LIGHTS' debut at the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway - 09/12/2022

The debut of the 'TRAIN OF LIGHTS' Steam Illuminations event at the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway on the evening of Friday 9th December 2022.
With several standard-gauge Heritage Railways holding Steam Illumination events and with the Hastings Miniature Railway starting their Train of Lights event in 2020, the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway decided to have its own on two Friday evenings in December 2022. The first of which was the 9th and the second will be the 16th.
The locomotives on these trains were resident ELR 'Maxi-Lucky-Seven'-class 2-4-2 No.7 "Sandy River" and on-loan GCR 8K-class 2-8-0 No.102, festively decorated in colourful lights as were the rake of First Class coaches that make up both the Train of Lights and Santa Special trains that were to be run over the weekends of 10th & 11th and 17th & 18th December.
Both events were sold out which was excellent to see.
