We are Marisa and David, Australian expats now living part-time in Chianni Tuscany.
During the Global Pandemic, we decided to buy our Italian dream home, sight unseen and with no prior knowledge of the area.
This is our journey and we are taking you along with us!
TODAY'S VLOG...
Well as many you saw in my last vlog, I have departed from my beautiful home in Chianni Tuscany and have whisked away by my gorgeous friends to their home in Umbria. This is just part of my extended journey back towards Australia, prior to Christmas in 2022.
In today's little vlog I share our rather whirl-wind tour of the stunning towns of Montepulciano, incredibly famous for it's wine and wonderful architecture, then the gorgeous township of Cortona, which became even more famous after appearing in the the film, "Under the Tuscan sun". A film which I think I've viewed multiple dozens of times over the years!
Come join us as we happily flip about these fabulous towns and surrounding. countryside on our journey to Umbria.

Thank you for the wonderful video. And your Loving support. Ever since reading Frances Mayes book “Under The Tuscan Sun”. And many of her following books. And getting her yearly new year calendars. I made it a point to visit. Which I did in 2005. The first visit of two weeks. In a lovely home. With my family. After that, it was rental apartments. In which I made a very good friend. ROSA🥰. She is still in our lives and hearts. This came about from the first time we booked her vacation rental apartment.
The people of Cortona match the beauty of the time.
And yes, visited both Bramasoles. Now I understand the residence one of Frances Mayes. Is or planning on doing cooking classes. On the outside balcony addition.

Thank you Marisa for bringing back to me beautiful memories, I saw myself sitting at a table on a warm May evening in 2019, living my life and enjoying an aperol and an aperitif in Piazza Grande, Montepulciano.
Time passes so quickly, as if it was yesterday but hopefully I make it back this year 😊

Another lovely video, but much too short! :D This summer, after our 3 nights in Chianni, we are staying two nights in Cortona! We will have a view of the Teatro from our window. I am counting the days until we leave.
