Attacking Planeswalkers doesn't trigger Firkraag's ability, none of the nightmares should have been goaded. See 'Kaalia the Vast' for relevant ruling.
Also the Hellkite means Firkraag would have gotten two counters and drawn two cards when it and the Hellkite attacked at 7:10
Hey muddstah, for videos where you don't record opening hands, consider instead listing out the main strategies of the decks. I would imagine that happens in rule zero conversations but from a viewer standpoint it is always nice to have some insight into the objectives of the decks
That's not a bad idea! I'll put it to the table next time I film and see if they're down.
I agree. I love the little intro clips for deck info. Makes me more interested in the commanders I haven't seen before and gets me interested in the players choices

Misplay at 3:10, Firkraag triggers when you attack "an opponent", and so shouldn't goad if you attack a planeswalker. Also 5:01 the Ashiok tokens don't exile on death, they exile on attack or block.
Yeah I scrolled through the comments for this, I was wondering why they exiled 4 from the tokens dying
When Mathieu swings Firkraag at 3:11 at Ashiok, he is not able to goad a creature as swinging at a planeswalker does not count as swinging at an opponent.

If you're looking for a fun copy commander I've been having a lot of success using Jaxis and goblins together. There are a lot of etb effects in the tribe and Jaxis really helps keep the cards flowing. It's your 2 favorite tastes that taste great together. Also long time fan, you do the best EDH content on CZcams!

In 7:29 Mathieu forgot to draw 2 and put 2 counters on Firkraag, he cares about any creature hitting an opponent if was forced to attack, incluing Firkraag itself and its creatures from his controller.

Cool game but it was a bit confusing when around 5:20 War Toll disappeared from table. I was like "what just happened" and whole game was, are they counting on it or not, where is it :D .

I love the trostani deck, and am glad to see that muddstah decided to put it back together ❤. Ghired doesn't seem to be too great of a commander tbh. I personally love Atla Palani though. I love seeing the sheer horror on people's faces when I play a terror of the peaks, then crack two eggs and hit Kozilek butcher of truth and infinite gyre Ulamog of Atla's triggers 😆
He jus built it weird... I have a ghired deck that puts pressure on right away... and I play cedh... he needs to not sacrifice ghired and jus put in creatures that makes tokens thats it and not small tokens anything above 3/3 I have a great win percentage with my deck
Also eager to see more of Tasha, she looks like a blast to play! I can't decide between her or a Tibalt, cosmic imposter deck! :(

i believe he had certain steal effects and played those cards from the other players at the table
Muddstah, have you considered Rionya for your Terror of the Peaks token deck? Miirym's obviously another solid choice, I'm just unsure of how temur dragons will play out. I'm considering shifting Lathliss to Rionya myself because Lathliss just feels too slow unless I have Jeska's Will.
I know Rionya is sweet, imo, but I can't really compare it to Miirym. I built Miirym Clones and my Rionya list is super budget so I don't get Terror.
@@mn6334 Miirym kinda calls for dragon tribal, so while green and blue give it extra utility, I personally prefer Rionya who just wants value in a deck where one of the goals is making a lot of copies of Terror. If Muddstah's gonna put in the money for the token doublers, Miirym's value suddenly goes way up.

I wonder why Miguel didn't steal Firkraag with Necromantic Selection (you can steal commanders with it thanks to the new rules).

Necromantic Selection should have been exiled after Miguel used it the first time.
But you can use Torgaar at the end of the game on yourself if you're below 20. I call that insurance. 👌🏻

9:08 why not get togarr? Even commanders enter the graveyard with it so you can steal commanders. Seems like a huge missed opportunity to get back at miguel for that early aggression

On turn 5 when you cloned the Wood Elves, the land shouldn't have come into play tapped, since you had two snow-covered basics at the time (and Wood Elves don't make the land come in tapped)

Have to say like many others I've built a Miirym deck and it honestly is just dumb. The deck can be quick and resilient. Mine is more clone tribal with some beefy dragons in it.
