- #ilovervlife #nashvillecampgrounds #nashvillecamping We love coming to Nashville TN and have done so since we started RV travel 5 years ago. There is so much to see and do. We've tried several campgrounds in the area, but our favorites has been Two Rivers Campground located off Music Valley Dr. Two Rivers is a very nice, well maintained campground offering full hook-up sites up to 50 amp electric, water, sewer, cable and WiFi. Most have a clear shot for satellite TV and very good cellular coverage for all the major carriers. They also have a very nice bath house, a large coin laundry, pool and during the warmer month, a small stage where various music entertainers perform.
One of the benefits of Two Rivers is the close proximity to great Nashville entertainment. You're minutes from the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Palace, Back Stage at the Opry, dinner theaters and more. The Gaylord Hotel and Opry Mills Mall is minutes away with entertainment, restaurants, shopping, Madame Tussauds, Dave and Busters and so much more.
Another great benefit is the shuttle to downtown. For $10 a person, roughly the cost of parking, the shuttle will pick up at the campground office, drop off one block from the Broadway night life and pick up every hour on the hour until 2AM. Bargain, safe and a great way to go downtown for all the fun and music with none of the hassle.

Thanks Thomas.
What a great spokesman for not only the campground, but for the greater Nashville area! The Chamber of Commerce should sponsor you to come back every year and make a new video.
Thanks so much Matthew. If only!

I was born and raised there and I didn’t even know where you were but knew the roads it’s changed so much since I’ve really been there. It’s amazing how much as changed. Thanks for the view of my old home town. Down where the bass pro shop is used to be the opry amusement park it was so fun as a kid went there once with my class in school.
Hi Joy. I remember the Opry Amusement Park. Fun place and always had great acts playing in the small venues. The Mall is massive. Almost a destination in itself. Glad we could share.
Wowwww Jerry
Neat

Great video, thanks for letting us know about Two Rivers Campground!
Thanks Donald. Glad to share.
35 years ago we frequented Two Rivers every year for several years. Our garmet company annual conferences were hels at The Gaylord. (Weekenders Clothing line).
Great memories though somewhat faded now. Kudos..
Hi Cliff. New owners over the last years, but still very nice folks. Great location. Heading back next year. Looking forward to some Broadway boot skootin’.
We stayed there March 2020. Very nice, convenient and friendly. We enjoyed our Nashville trip. Later (in Texas) we had to return home due to Covid.
It is a nice place and reasonably priced for the location. We too got caught in the March Covid outbreak while in South Carolina. Talked to a fellow RV'er recently. Shared Nashville was starting to open up gradually. Hoping to return soon.
Yes we de-winterized in Nashville, toured then went in to SAN Antonio. From there we had 3000 km to return to Canada 🇨🇦
We took your advice and stayed at Two Rivers Campground a few weeks ago. Like you said it was a very clean and friendly campground. Great location to Nashville. You can grab a ride into the city from several shuttles that will pick you up right at the campground. No need to drive into the city if you don't want too. We stayed in site 111. I think that was the best site. It had shade trees and was along the side road where there was no one behind you and was right across from the bathhouse. I'm planning on going to Mt Airy NC in the spring because of your helpful reviews.
I appreciate your honest reviews of campgrounds. It gives me and others an idea of what and where to spend vacation times.
Thanks so much. Great to hear you enjoyed the campground. We go twice a year to play downtown. A favorite. Hoping to be back in a month or so. Have a great time in Mt. Airy.
Great job
Thanks Rickey.
Love the video, but show me some BBQ. I have been watching your videos for some time now and I really enjoy them. Thank you for sharing and allowing us to enjoy your journey with you. Be safe and happy travels.
Thanks a bunch Greg. Glad you found the channel. Darn! We didn’t go to Jack’s on Broadway this year. We had so many places to go and ran out of time. If you haven’t been, great pulled pork, ribs, stew and some kinda yummy greens and cornbread. Gosh, getting hungry thinking about it. When you finish, go next door to Stages for some serious music and boot skootin.
Hey there Jerry! My hubby and I and friends of ours will be staying at Two Rivers starting this Saturday! Your videos really inspired us to make out trip to Nashville this year, so excited to get there! Don't know if you remember but you and U chatted about Philadelphia a few months ago. Offer still stands if you ever head north! Thanks for all the great videos!!
I do remember. A favorite of mine and Joan’s. Have a great time.
Jerry, you are not far from us, as we are in Lebanon, TN at our daughters home. We love TN, as it was our home for 30 years. Heading to TX next week to pick up our new to us diesel pusher! Sold the DRV late last year and decided we missed the motorhome, so off we go again! Hope to see you down the road one day! Yes, we love RV life!
I was born in Bristol and have a lot of family there and in Abington. Always look forward to our Tennessee trips. Wishing you the best on the new pusher. See you on the road. Jerry...
The wife n I are doing Nashville this June for a few days and will be staying there. Good video also
Hi Kevin. Let’s see a few days, runs into a week..... Great place. Still have one video to edit. Looking forward to showing the Nashville night life. You’ll have so much fun.
Hi Kevin. Let’s see a few days, runs into a week..... Great place. Still have one video to edit. Looking forward to showing the Nashville night life. You’ll have so much fun.
Liked the video as always. We have stayed in tighter RV parks there is one in Daysend RV park in Standish CA that we stay in a couple time a year on our way to and from our winter destination it's a small park that is very well kept and quite and great for an overnight stop. Noticed that you are prior Air Force thanks for your service from a retired Air Force.
Thanks a bunch Norm. We like to spread out a little, but sometimes there’s a little give and take for a special place. I did one tour in the Air Force. Gave me the foundation I built my career on. Appreciate all you and other Vets have done to keep us safe.
I enjoyed my service. Was a radar tech. Great job. Left in 76 and went to college and then into telecom. One of those “water seeking it source” things.
@@iLoveRVlife Started out as a crew chief on C-141's and then in 74 to Radio Relay and in 77 to F-15 Radar/Central Computer/Inertial Navigation Systems. In 88 had an offer to become a contractor in maint planning and 99 worked as a maint planner for an air line until 2010 I said green acres is the life for me and retired to Oregon for fishing and camping and for the last 5 years have been snowbirding to Arizona with stops hear and there.
Hi Jerry! Love your videos, just got your stickers! We are staying at Two Rivers in October, thanks for all of the info!!
Hi Judi. Thanks a bunch and glad you got a sticker. You’ll like the campground and access to a the fun things Nashville has to offer. We’ve been here in October. It’s a great time to visit.
@@iLoveRVlife Thanks for your reply Jerry! We just watched your Nashvegas video LOL How great! We're really excited to get there. Definitely going to take advantage of Two Rivers shuttle service! Take care and keep up the good work! And hey, if you find yourself in Pa, near Philadelphia, drop us a line, my husband and I would love to give you a tour of the city. We live in the burbs now but I was born and raised in the city.
Lots to see and do!
Thanks a bunch. Had an office on Chestnut back in the 90’s. Great memory’s of Philly. Would jog and run the “Rocky” steps every morning. Plus, Philly had the best Tower Records in the US. Loved that place. If we come through in the future, we’ll certainly take you up on the offer. Jerry...
@@iLoveRVlife Oh wow! How cool that you know Philly! When I first started working as a dental hygienist I worked on Walnut St and then on Sansom St. Now my husband and I work in "the burbs" near our home LOL We're about 4 years out from retirement and we are so looking forward to just getting on the road and exploring this beautiful country of ours with our travel trailer! Oh, and the actual Rocky statue is now standing at the Art Museum!
Hi Jerry, we'll be at Two Rivers this weekend!!
Thanks for sharing! we almost booked this park for our upcoming trip to TN in August, but we couldn't find alot of videos on the park. we ended up changing plans from Nashville to Gatlinburg - but we will definitely try this place next summer!
Thanks. Add another week and head west. Still have one more video to edit, next week, Nashville night life. So much to see and do. We had a blast!
@@iLoveRVlife haha i wish we could. we are still working stiffs and very quickly run out of summer vacation! we have tripes planned to PEI and New Brunswick, VA Beach and TN already this summer. even though we have family in Nashville we will definitely have to wait this one out!
Looks amazing I would love to go to Nashville. My husband and just love music and we love to dance. Like American country music much more than Irish country x.
Fun place. I’ll complete the night life video this week. We had a blast. The campers behind us are on a 45 day trip from Australia and earlier this week met 3 German couples next to us who are touring the States. Hope you have the opportunity to visit soon.
I Love RV Life I would say so Germany is a lovely country in some places. My son is not long back from working over there for a few weeks. He was in Berlin. My late father he was in the British Army he was stationed in Germany a lot of the time. Xx
Oh my goodness Valerie. Joan and are watching a aerial tour of Ireland on the Smithsonian Channel. Absolutely stunning beauty. The castles and county side are something. Currently viewing the port city of Galway. Someday we need to come to my X5 grandparents home. Jerry....
I Love RV Life Galway is a lovely place full of life. Donegal is beautiful too the scenery is lovely. I live up North but the scenery around the coast is just stunning. Giants Causeway etc.
Hey “neighbor”. Our daughter lives in Nashville, when we come to visit we stay at the KOA down the road. As you said, a very convenient location. I’ve found Nashville a very low stress place to drive my fifth wheel, easy to merge on the highways and the drivers are generally polite.
Hi Y’all. The KOA is a nice place. Easy access is a biggy for us too and the 3 campgrounds on Music Valley Dr make it easy. Nashville is growing...fast. Over the last 5 years, the crowds are much bigger, but there’s tons of places being added adding variety every time we visit. Fun place.
In the 70s we would camp at one of the campground s by the river on music valley drive.
Before the Gaord it was the Opryland Theme park.
That was so special.
Now that area is all parking lot.
Gaylord is the top resort in America and very much low key.
But its always full.
I remember the Theme Park. Joan and I went there in the early 90s. Remember walking into a venue and Rickey Skaggs was playing. Walked into another, Alabama came on stage. They Gaylord is massive. They now have the huge indoor water park. And Opry Mills. Goodness that place has one of everything.
👍
The proximity of the park and convenient shuttle make it a decent option if Nashville-bound!
You bet!
Jerry I'm interested in the outdoor lights that you did, looked solar. Did you just drill into some 4x4's and stick them in?
I get a ton of questions about these lights in the campground. This was an old, weathered 4x4 post I had lying around. I cut 3 odd lengths, put a long deck screw in each side to hold them together. I bought those cheap $9 outdoor LED lights at Walmart, tossed the metal stake and drilled a hole in the top to accept the light. A couple of these gives a nice light around the front of the RV.
Jerry, great video. Thanks for sharing.
1 question--your truck--year, model? Any changes you would make if starting over? I'm gathering info on best in class.
Thanks again. Jim W.
Hi Jim. Thanks a bunch. Glad you found the channel. There’s always some give and take when choosing an RV. For our type of travel, the 5th wheel works well. Here’s a video where we discuss why we purchased a 5th wheel. czcams.com/video/vEpGu9qb1OU/video.html. Our truck is a 2014 Ford XL F350 Dually with the 6.7 turbo diesel and a heavy duty tow package. Cloth seats, rubber floor, a base model. We added things like a high end radio, back-up camera, etc. We didn’t need leather or carpet since we stay in areas that may be a little muddy or sandy from time to time and we wanted something easy to clean. Hope this helps. Jerry...
The water park is part of Opryland Hotel & unless it's changed in the last month or so, it can only be accessed by guest who reserve/stay in the rooms there. Which can be a bit pricey.. but coming from a born a raised Nashvillian ✋ I can tell you, it's absolutely worth every penny! Wonderful get away & you can go site seeing & enjoy the indoors of Opryland Hotel as well as out anytime for absolutely free!!! They have lots of beautiful shops, unique dining, clubs, lots of different events all year round especially during the Christmas season (Such as, The Grinch On Ice!). The whole area is just absolutely beautiful, so much fun & your sure to enjoy every second of your stay here in Nashville! Traffic can be a bit of a hassle when going to or from downtown (mostly during rush hrs but Nashville is growing so rapidly that we just simply cannot keep up..LOL. They're definitely doing their best to get caught up on the road construction projects..) but that's just one of the very small cons compared to all the amazing pros!👍
Hi Natasha. Nashville is one of our favorite places. So much to see and do. The Gaylord is quite a place. Agree, it’s on the pricey side, but they do have so much to offer. And that place is always busy. Thanks a bunch for the comment.
Cullman and Maxey has been brought out by Camping World, they are letting them operate independently for now...., also Bankston Motor Homes has a small lot. I mentioned the buy out since C and M has good rep as service center, that Camping World, like many others, does not.
Looks like a nice area to have a music themed amendment park. They call in, I don't know, Opryland maybe?
Interesting comment George. Back in the 90’s there was a music themed park. Now it’s the mall and the Gaylord.
You mentioned your lights, saw those in another one of your videos, you should really consider putting those out for sale. You could get an easy $20-$25 a piece. Happy travels and be safe.
That would be something. Just happy to share the idea with you all!
Campground starts @ 5:00
Thanks
I lived there for 1 year in my RV, until I bought a house, when I moved to Nashville in 1990 to work for Opryland Talent Agency. Great park and still is.
Hi Tony. Nice folks, plus the easy access to downtown, around the Gaylord and other fun Nashville things to do are a big plus.
@@iLoveRVlife When you come back come stay with us we have 2 RV hookups at our recording studio property.
That would be great Tony. And to think I might get to see a Nashville recording studio...oh that would be a treat. I might just have to brush up on my Pro Tools skills 😏. We missed Nashville this spring. Hope you and everyone else are recovering from the tornadoes. Thought and prayers with you all.
@@iLoveRVlife Hey Jerry we are about 7 miles from two Rivers RV Park, if you like to try another RV Park its called Grand Ole RV Park in Goodlettsville TN about 6 miles from us. They are good friends of our tell them we sent you. Yeah from the looks of your videos your a pretty handy guy I'm sure if you make videos you can work ProTools, but I'm a Cubase user. Anyway keep safe out on the road! Love your videos!
We enjoyed the koa there 1st class
Nice campground.
We stayed at the KOA for a week in 2017. One of the nicest KOAs we’ve stayed at.
Sorry i missed you when you were in Macon I'm Macon's Christian Santa
Wow! That’s awesome. You know my good friend Joe Williams.
One reason the mall parking lot is so full is that it costs $29 to park at the Gaylord. If you just want to see that, park at the mall and walk over. That's what we did. Traded parking cost for a nice lunch.
Thanks Roger. Great tip.
Jerry... do you have the Foursquare App? You probably do but if not check it out for places to eat.
Hi JR. We used for a while, but usually use Google or TripAdvisor. These two seem to get a little more traffic.
Is that the thousand trails park?
It’s not. Think it’s family owned.
Does the campground have firepits?
Hi Tony. It doesn’t.
Is this close to the KOA?
It is. This is the middle one of the three.
We stayed there 10years ago for CMA FEST ! Will be there this year for a week for CMA FEST . Campground looks like it did 10 years ago , very covenant location.
They do a great job keeping a nice campground. Wow 10 years! So much has changed. Wait till you see Broadway, Printers Alley, 2nd and 3rd. Plus all the things at Music Valley Drive and McGavock. You’ll have a blast.
I live 30 miles from there! The Camping World has been good to me. I call Lauren in parts, and she is sweet and honest! I am not fond of Jelly Stone.
Hi Callie. It’s been handy to have the Camping World next door. We’ve also used Cullum and Maxey next door. Both great to have close by. Over the years, we’ve stayed in a number of campgrounds in the area. Two Rivers has become our favorite.
how much
Check here www.tworiverscampground.com/rates/. We stay a week. Pay for 6 and get the 7th night free.

So not a good place. Pot holes all over the place
