This boy band was the epitome of what a team should be. They were all one band and each one of them made up the band but each of them were still individual and their each individuality was still celebrated as a human. Most of their songs has a lead singer for that one particular song but the whole band was singing and doing instruments for the same song as well. Their albums had each individual member sing the lead for 1-2 each so that not one individual got haughty and conceited. Can't say the same for the rest of the groups of that time. The Christmas album is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. All their albums are like that.
Anybody catch Jordan grabbing Donnies hand @2:30 during Favorite Girl?!! That's the shit I love the most! Catching little things like that are just amazing to see. There was/is something so special about them & im so glad all the people who called them a fad have been silenced forever! They were always authentic & real! The entire "pre packaged, carefully constructed, manufactured, fake gimmick" label was such blatant disrespect & nowhere near the truth. They were a grass roots, one fan @a time success story & their music was incredibly written & not just pumped out for whatever reason. They got the last laugh!!!!!!
I have to say Joey and Jordan are super good looking! Jordan didn't age at all and he looks very modern and hip. Joey might have been adorable back in the day but he is a super handsome man now! Joey didn't age much either. Actually, they all look great! It's cool that they are still active and what not. I also noticed that Donnie is very charaismatic with a cute smile.
Idk what it is about Jordan with that mouth & them clear braces...but man it does something to me. It makes me sad that he doesnt grow his hair out like it was!

For example Lou Pearlman himself said he wanted to create a group which was "a mix of Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block", and then he created The Backstreet Boys and later NSYNC.

My theory and memory about the mullet is that it was actually a transition from the glamor rock epidemic. All that makeup and teased up hair. I think it was just not easy to go from that to grunge. So, enter the mullet phase, though there were a few who dared to sport the mullet earlier than the late 80's. Mullets and what were called rat tails(a variation of the mullet) were big in the late 80's early 90's. I also believe the mullet was formed out of laziness. Long hair takes a lot of work to keep up. The mullet allowed the appearance of long hair with much less upkeep. I agree, it will most likely never find a place in fashionable hairstyles again, but one must admit that in humankinds long and ancient history of hairdos the mullet was truly unique and memorable. I hope my explanation here shed some light on this mysterious hairstyle for you. Lol
