I'm 44 was just 7 when they came out but my sister whos 50 was a huge fan so I remember them well, these guys have a youthful vibe to them, I want to see millennials and gen Z look this good at 50, my younger brother whos 38 looks older than me so millennials are not aging as well as gen X has.
So tru! Ill be 50 this year and I was a Big Hair metal fan. So the rivals were Boy Bands and Grunge. My sister was 6 yrs younger and into the Boy bands. I grew to love all Music even Country. But I do admit Im diggin the Boy Bands now and this song does have a Nostalgic vibe.

My dad passed away in 2016....he'd always pick me up from school blasting songs from the 80s and 90s and I remember hearing a lot of New Kids on The Block....I was embarrassed at first but as I grew older I realized how special those moments where. He never stopped listening to New Kids on The Block.... this song brought me to tears because I know he would have loved listening to this song....but I'm hear to listen to it. Thank you for bringing so many happy memories for me and my father.

I'm 42 years old, and to me, this song epitomizes the youthful spirit that resides within all of us. It's funny-I used to think that by this age, life would be dull, serious, and monotonous. But I believe the 40s today are quite different from the 40s two decades ago. I still feel like a kid. I enjoy playing video games, reading comic books, collecting action figures, and partying... I live life lightly, always joking around. When this song was released, it felt like it was speaking directly to me, because despite their age, the artists maintain a youthful, positive energy, and I think that's really cool!

This brings me full circle to my childhood. My dad has Frontal Temporal Dementia, but as a child he would buy ya'lls posters cassettes, t-shirts and bags for me because he knew I loved your music. It sure would be neat if I could show him this and he'd remember, but thank you for giving me memories with my dad as a kid and now as a adult❤❤

Great comeback song from the OGs! NKOTB started this craze in late 80s and then rest followed.
They may have been the first boy band to have been called this, but they were not the first boy band. Remember the Beatles, The Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones started close to 30 years before NKOTB in the 1960’s.

OMG….I’m 51 and grew up listening to “Please don’t go girl” and all those amazing hit songs by NKOB!!! Was one of my fav bands for sure. This really makes me nostalgic and I’m SO ready for them to do a concert tour!! 🎵🤩🙏
I'm a metalhead, but I can't deny some tunes from NKOTB were catchy on those days. I'm glad people from our generation X are still kicking and showing we are still young at heart.

The first album was released in 1986, which is just shy of slightly more than 38 years ago. Rounding up, that makes it 40 years ago. An exaggeration would be 50 years ago. @chrissims518

@chrissims518 Yes, since 1984. They 1st formed in 1984 but their 1st album was released in 1986. So, if the poster above lived in or around Mass. and knew of them/went to shows in the early days before they hit it big, that's not an exaggeration. Their manager who discovered them was Maurice Starr (who discovered New Edition in the early 80's even though N.E. formed their band in 1978). Maurice helped put them into the mainstream as he had done for New Edition. For those of us who were there, we know. For those of you who weren't, Google is your friend to not make embarrassing comments.

Wow, does this hit! I am experiencing all kinds of emotions right now. At first I was in awe at how awesome this sounds & then the more I smiled & listened the faster the tears flowed. I imagine my 8yo self watching this & being ecstatic, dancing along. I was recorded way back then singing & dancing to My Favorite Girl which I saw not long ago. My parents didn’t have much but I had posters, shirts, cards, all dolls, & of course every cassette. When I was 9 years old my mom decided we were going to church & shortly after everything I loved disappeared over night because god didn’t approve. My love for NKOTB was shattered & I was broken. Now 42, I’ve never forgotten but held onto the memories. Since then I’ve been busy with life & raising kids that are now grown but hearing this brought that little girl back to life. Forever my favorite boy band & playing this on repeat. Thank you for bringing back some of my favorite memories & giving me all the feels. 🥰❤️🎵

Guys I'm 51 and was in high school when you hit the scene....and watched all the girls go nuts over you...but I secretly liked the music...now I don't care about anyone's finger pointing....I LOVE this song and it's so great to see you all together again having fun as big kids... because that's what I am still as well!

49 year old classic rock guy here and have been since NKOTB was new. Couldn't stand them as a youngster, but, dang, if I don't enjoy everything they've put out since Summertime. I think I might be a fan. Thanks, guys.

I was a huge fan back in the day. And I can honestly say, they have gotten sooooooo much better. I would listen to there older stuff and be they have evolved there music so much. It’s actually really good and catchy now.
Hard Rock, metal Girl of 49 here. I couldn’t stand them in the day lol. Now it didn’t help that our twin daughters, born in “91” (nope, don’t do the math, I was young lol) LOVED THEM! So I was stuck listening to way too many songs on repeat and wanting to stab myself silently on the eye, because I still hated “Pop”! 😂. But I must say, even tho my musical palette hasn’t changed much, NKOTB might be hittin a bit different these days. New Fan here. Loved the Breakfast Club Reference… Damn if it all doesn’t make me feel so old tho. 😂😂

I love them too, but they're not the original boy band. Menudo was huge in the '80s for a time, and is why Ricky Martin hit so big when he went solo. The Osmonds were big in the '70s. New Edition, as someone mentioned below...
NKOTB was literally created because New Edition fired their manager and the guy wanted to make a white version of the group. Like NKOTB but facts are facts.

No one was calling those other groups boy bands back then! Some people are just thick. The term boy band was started with NKOTB. By this logic the first boy band was 3 cavemen banging on some rocks and making grunting sounds.
