It seems like his apparent carelessness here was him trying to make a point about assessing a dangerous situation before entering it. Something hes tried to teach morty many times. Sometimes best to lead by example
Given how much of Rick's body has been swapped out with cybernetics, him getting up after that fall makes sense aside from Cartoon logic.

dropping in is not hard at all
I’m an awful skater and I got it in like an hour. I know some friends who took weeks/months to get comfortable dropping it. It’s one of those things where if it doesn’t click for you, it REALLY doesn’t click.
