Here's a tip for players who don't have the time or are lazy to do candle runs: Do geyser and grandma. Grandma lasts for 2 rounds, and you won't get candles after the 2nd round, geyser on the other hand can last for 4 to 5 rounds if I'm not mistaken. If you have a bit more time, here's what I do when daylight resets: Go to geyser -> cr sanctuary islands -> cr hidden forest until it's almost time for grandma and do grandma (you'll end up with 14-15 candles), if I still have time, I do the quests right after grandma (so 18-19 candles), and again if I still have time, I try to find a friend who has opened piggy back with me and do the trials together (glitch way). So at the end of the day I get around 20-22 candles, it depends if I have the time to do the extra 2 things I mentioned (quests and trials). Hope this helps and is not confusing, feel free to ask any questions

I find candle runs so relaxing. I always do my usual candle run route: Isle + Trials (glitch), Prarie, Forest, and Valley. I get around 18 candles, but if I want more, I find a partner to glitch through Vault (rocket, spasm glitch), which will give me 19 or 20 candles. With regular tasks, I get 23 to 24 usually. I also do daily trades with my sky Hubby, so I get to save hearts too.💞
I am really surprised no one has mentioned the bonfires in Daylight Prairie and Golden Wasteland.
The easiest one to get to is in the Daylight Prairie caves. Once you get there, fly up and to the right or walk up the "steps" if you don't want to fly. Once you see the water, keep walking forward and you should see an tunnel in the wall right in front of you. Follow this and you will find a fire that produces wax. It is not as fast as grandma, but I can sit there afk for at least 3 hours if not more.
You should know that the two bonfires are connected so once you collect all the wax from one, the other will not have anything either.
Forest has a bonfire too

It’s not my favourite, but If i’m trying to get an extra candle or 2 and can’t be bothered to do the whole thing, I go to village of dreams, get the candle cake near the houses and then take the boats up to the stadium type area. Then I just collect that big ring of candles at the end and do the secret area where the sparkler parent is.

For me, the fastest collection of candles comes from 1) daily quests 2) candle cakes in the daily realm 3) trials 4) sanctuary, geyser, grandma 5) focusing only on large candle hauls or “free” wax - plants others have already burned and prelit candles. I don’t waste time burning or lighting anything. And still - I’m candle poor!!!
And when one of the dailies is the candle cake at the end of the rainbow you get a whole extra candle cake💪💪

idk how much time players usually spend on CR but I usually do the quests first, then I proceed to run the map with cakes, prairie is the MUST map I run it even without cake and quests then I go sanctuary (also the cakes from vault), and villiage of dreams then up to the valley temple, then I do the trial of air and fire. Usually that'll do the 3 bars of arrows, and if there're events, the office will also be open.

Save 20, spend 10. Candle run the quest map, and candle cake map, and then Isle of Dawn. Enter the cave of prophesy, take the candle cake, fly through to Wind Paths. Finish with whatever seasonal maps please me that day.
After I've saved 500 candles, give a heart to each friend in constellations (don't demand returns, most players will return if they are active). Always keep a minimum of 200 candles for travelling spirits and events.

When there's no season, doing dailies can be very boring, unless I'm short of candles. Currently taking break from sky, since saved enough candles for next ts arrival.

i only candle run to collect 10 daily. that adds up if you're not constantly spending them and you don't have to worry about doing all realms which can feel daunting. but nowadays when i am super lazy i just hop into the wind paths and get candle cakes since they lead to a lot of them.
I collect 25 candles per day during the off-season and 15 during the season.
I live in Korea and 5pm is the reset time in Korea.
Therefore, if there is no schedule the day, I start cr at 6pm. After going to the daily quest map at 6 o'clock, go to the prairie around 6:40 and enter the area on the right.
After collecting the candles in the area on the right, it is always 6:50 when i go to sanctuary Island!
Collect candles on Sanctuary Island and go to the geyser at 7 o'clock. If the geyser is over, enter the Flight Season map above the Sanctuary Island to get big candles in the Flight season map.
After returning home, go to the forest and collect candles according to your routine, and it will be 7:30.
Then get some bread from Grandma!
This routine is only 1 hour 45 minutes long and comes with 16 candles (including quests).
The rest of the candles are obtained mainly by AFK, if you also go to the 9pm bread time and the 11pm bread time, you will quickly collect 25 candles😎

Start with geyser, sanctuary island, hidden forest and grandma treehouse can already get you 14-15 candles.

@@sqlzii2186geyser is at the sanctuary island, near the beach. it's like a black water pool there. Then the grandma treehouse is at the hidden forest, opposite to the entrance of tree cave. You will see there is a big table inside of the tree. If you have trouble finding these out, youtube will help you.

I don't think that quest candles affect the chevrons. As for me, it had always grayed out after collecting 20 candles' worth of wax.
From what I have seen, quest candles do not affect the chevrons.
As hard as I try, I cannot stop myself from giving hearts!!! When I give hearts, ppl give me hearts and I don’t need anymore!!! I have over 1300 and rarely have anything to spend them on. But still, I give hearts. I’m candle poor 😢 Please, TGC, let players have a choice between giving 1 heart or 3 candles…please, please, PLEASE!

Also another tip is that collect the seasonal candles and don’t use them wait until the season ends I hope it’s helpful😊
I have a few tips I implement (cuz I only have candels before ts lmao)
1. Don't press the dot for a long time. This gives less candles to spend, especially if you were already on a low amount. You can keep track of the candles you have collected for that day by looking at the chevrons. Once they're all out, you have collected at least 15+ candles.
(tip: if you need to keep track of dailies, either write it down somewhere else or take a screenshot of it after pressing the exclamation button at Home.)
2. Once you reach a certain mark, don't let yourself go below it. For example my mark is the tens such as 20, 30, and so on. If I have say 54 candles, I will only spend the extra 4.

I just want two spirits postman and dancing performer (everything they have) and the halloween cat hair and the halloween cape and that’s it then i’ll save all the candles because I don’t like most of the spirits but if the spirit with the fluffy white cape and the fluffy black cape came then I’ll only have the capes.
now I have 750 they should have been 1000 or more but the elders hair took them away TT. What i’m trying to say is don’t buy everything in sky I know people don’t even use half of what they have
so just be careful on what you truly like and don’t feel less just because you don’t have all the cosmetics in fact it’s rare to see people who know what they want and won’t spend all the candles on things that aren’t valuable.
I just start my cr’s in Isle of Dawn all the way to Vault of Knowledge. In between, I would do Grandma’s, Geyser and Turtle. It really helps. I also do it with friends to make it ..well..more fun ;w;

Hiya! I just started playing Sky: CotL yesterday and I have no clue what is going on. All I've figured out is how to make friends and stuff, and I've gone into the Eye of Eden and completed it once (Idk if that was a smart idea though, since I could only get 2 blessings from the spirits. I had no clue what I was doing anyways so haha). I really want to get hearts so I can get cosmetics, but how do I do that? Any tips or guides would be much appreciated! I totally love the game so far and everyone is very sweet! I've made 2 solid friends in just 3 hours of playtime, haha! The hand-holding system is absolutely adorable too. Any tips, explanations of the story lore and what the heccindoodles is going on, and help with understanding what the goal is is appreciated!!!
You can get heart's from friend's,From constellation,from shrine,ask your friend's to trade heart's. New event's and travelling spirits are coming you have to collect candles. More Candles more cosmetics 🥳💕

I saved for about 91 candles for Days of bloom but i couldn resist the TS So i bought it i have 16 candles yet im lazy to cr and more to editing
The daily task is seasonal candles but after the season end it turns into regular candles
Everytime I log-in i always lit my friends candles in-case if they're online,I know its take times just to get a one heart, but its better than wasting your candles to heart trade them instead.
I do this everyday but I’m still poor. I just couldn’t resist spending the candles on new stuff, and I just bought everything from the Christmas event so now I’m broke.

For Nintendo players, you do have to spend candles to friend people. There are no QR codes. I'm someone that plays on the switch, and it really annoys me. TGC should make it so switch players can use this
