HELLO, WE'RE BACK!!! Time for a new project! Building Link's Hylian shield from "The Legend of Zelda" is just the perfect project for a fun crafty weekend! It was also the first shield I ever made, haha! Benni and I built it completely out of EVA foam and it took us only two days to finish it!

"And this it what Cosplay is about. Agony and pain, but it's so much fun !"
I want this to become the universal anthem of cosplay.
Sooooooo true
It needs to!
My kids: "why do I have to eat my brocolli
Me: "the corgi cosplay lady said 'suffering is fun'"
My kids: "can we see one with dog armor"
Me: after you eat your brocolli
"Suffering is fun!" Definitely sums up my feelings when Im working on my pieces 😂😭. The more suffering the more accomplished I feel XD.
Also that shield looks so tiny, its like a buckler 😂
I know the feeling... But what wouldn't we do to feel the rush once it is done.... 🤣🤣🤣😭
Her personality is the total reason i watch this channel. I don't even cosplay ...
terrence m waldon
Join us suffering is fun. 😂
@@taleef1760 hahaha one day I might
I love suffering
Since you’re on a Zelda kick, I’d LOVE to see a tutorial of Zelda’s light bow!! There doesn’t seem to be a decent video of it anywhere. It incorporates both your LED book and Prop Building book!!! Yes!!
Yaaay! I second that suggestion coz I'm planning to build Gowther's light box from 7 deadly sins for my son, and have no clue where to start...
Suffering is fun. Agony and pain are fun. I believe you. Excellent job on the shield.
The ending is too relatable. I’m not a cosplayer but I make and design a lot of stuff, so the pain and suffering is very true
-Suffering is fun-
Nov 2019
Hot glue burns show your dedication
the anthem of the Dwarf Fortress players
Svetlana must have just loved 2020
hahah until you reach 2021
Legend of Zelda is easily one of my most favourite game franchises. I have no doubt I'm going to use this to make the most stunning shield I can, even if just to have as a decoration for my house. Thanks, Kamui!
Benny is the unsung hero of this channel.
I see that there is a lot of Links in the description.
too good
Wow
Wwwwwwhhhhahhaaaaaaa
"Suffering is fun"..ok...i love this channel!!!
Cosplay fact: Don't worry about crying the tears, the tears make your cosplay better, the suffering makes you immortal 😂
I would totally buy a shirt from her that says "suffering is fun".
wait this is perfect timing omg im literally about to do link
And that's twice a good timing. I'll start doing Link soon, too. Good luck with that, my dude
The "Suffering is Fun" is everything in this video 😂. Amazing!!
SUFFERING IS FUN. Love takes time and effort. Building and painting props myself is cathartic, great for creativity and self esteem
"Suffering IS [demon voice] __FUN__!"
It's so METAL I LOVE IT! ANOTHER!
I love your enthusiasm and the fact that you use stuff for beginners like me. I appreciate you.
Nice to meet you.
I am Japanese.
I've been learning to make works with evaform since last year
Pattern creation, cutting and coating.
I will study a lot.
It's very easy to understand. Thank you very much.
You are a wonderful teacher.
Maashii Miyama
Literally posts this a few days before my "shield hero build"
You are a saint
I'm definitely gonna stich "Suffering is Fun" on my pillow 😂
Lol 😂
AAAAAAAHHHHHH you guys are angels!!! I really wanted to do a cosplay of Link a couple years ago, but the shield I made was WAY too heavy, and I decided to just give up on it ;u; I think I'm going to give this a try!!! Thank you SO much for all of your tutorials
its really just amaizing how detailed this shield is. okay, she used some printed blueprints, but still. and that little difference in the blue airbrush paint makes it much better
Another exceptionally fun and silly video from Kamui Cosplay! This shield has been on my list for awhile. Also with lots of suffering. So why not combine both and end up with a cool shield? Yeah! Thank you guys!
I absolutely love your videos! Your editing and your personality makes me smile every time. Somehow one of your videos made it to my feed a year ago and I’ve since watched ALL your videos and subscribed. Fun fact: I don’t even cosplay! I watch your videos for the entertainment value! Thank you
Haha thanks for watching anyway x-)
Love the way you put this tutorial video together. You make it so exciting and enjoyable at the same learning. Love your sound effects as well on your voice. I love this whole video you done a good job. Keep up the good work on turning a boring video into a great enjoyable video.
I am a brand new subscriber as of about 10 hours ago, and I've never clicked on a video so fast in my life. You do some amazing things with cloth and foam. Keep it up. You're very fun to watch.
This looks amazing. When I'm finally in a position to make these props I'm definitely making this one of my first projects!
I have never heard a more accurate description of cosplay IN MY LIFE!
Svetlana and Benny are too good for this world. 💕
If you make a Hylian Shield, you have to do a Link Cosplay, too!😊
My sone and I have been planning to build one of these.
Your video has provided the motivation and interest to look into this again soon.
I literally spit out my coffee when the alternate voice and suffering is fun bit started. I love your channel!
Great Tutorial. Thank you! 😀
I really FEEL the last words you said bout cosplay. This is so true.
Svetlana I love the personality and charm you give to your videos, they're informative and entertaining!! 😂😂 Always love your videos!
Bestest most fun, enthusiastic videos ever. Buy the books now!
The shield looks awesome.
That is so dang professional!
*shield petting* Whoowaah! Love the products but most of all the exuberance. Thanks for all the vids.
Link's Hylian Shield made with agony and pain...and fun, great video! I really like the shield ★
You are one crazy, crazy lady at times. I need to get back and make my prop sword.
She's literally precious
I love that when I watch Bill at PPA, he has all these fancy shop tools and you can basically do the same things he does, same quality, with just a Dremel!
CORGI!
Another great tutorial. This will help me make Akoúo̱ for my Pyrrha cosplay.
I know nothing about foam.
But here is what I do with leather when i want to hide multiple layer on the edge:
I used a (vertical) sandbelt, and then apply some color wax for leather. This way you can't say there is multiple layers.
Again, this work with leather and I know absolutly nothing about foam. But maybe it can give you some ideas ;)
Love your videos and energy!
🤣🤣🤣 I've been trying to explain to my mum how much fun suffering is because she keeps asking me why I still do this when I yell and cry all the time 🤣 This. Is. COSPLAAAAY!
Im preparing for my first cosplay competition and Im going cosplay MM Link. You're big help!!! Thank you so much!!! 💚
the agony and pain part at the end, this girl gets me. she understands
I forgot what is the video about after I laughed so hard after the "DOG!" part.
I actually made a similar foam Hylian shield a few years ago, though I used aluminum rod for a handle and an old belt for the arm strap. I didn't/don't have spray brush though, so my paint job isn't as good.
I still love it, though. It was my first big cosplay prop and, while there are things I would do differently, it came out great as far as I'm concerned
Something I did for mine was make it out of one peice, then add the silver part on the rim, put it between a couple blocks of wood and then used the heat gun to bend the sheild. It saved me from cutting a weird
Curve and hoping I did my messurements right, course you could always do the same with wood or foam board and wet the material before putting weights on it.
Absolutely brilliant!!!
my day always perks up when I see Svetlana and Benny have uploaded a video
For the next idea, I would love to see you attempting wings ~
That'd be amazing!
I actually have an idea for your next cosplay prop.
Q: What is it?
A: Link's Sheikah Slate from the Legend of Zelda(I'm a big fan).
DAA NAA NAA NAAAAAAAA!!!
Fantastic video and terrific-looking shield!
now I kind of want to make it as a Christmas present for my boyfriend....
Do it!
Update: I brought the pattern and all the materials I need. Hopefully I'll finish in time for christmas! (Thanks for the motivation!)
You got it!
“Suffering is fun” every cosplayers motto 😂
Simply amazing!Thank you so much for these videos!
That is a Great Shield and an Awesome Adventure to complete this project 💯 I must admit that I was showing your interesting work's to my wife about the Foam Clay and just letting your videos auto play listening and watching on TV...Then the "Suffering is Fun" came...wwhhhaattt?? I definitely had to Watch that part 3 time's as My Lovely had to use the ..yep... But Thank You for Your Great Personality and Believe me when I say we both was Tearing with laughter when we seen your "FUN" exposed ❤️ ✌️🤠👍🌟🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friends
I love your energy and personality
I'm so excited to see this tutorial! This is my favorite shield!
Geez, I’m about to embark in this quest for my son. Never have I ever done a cosplay before. Hopefully it comes out ok looking. 😂😂😂
Love it! I think I’ll try to make this for my friend for Christmas. Great video guys!
There would be a great present
Thanks so much for this video! My Dad will love this. English sources much appreciated too...
“Suffering is fun” my new quote of motivation XD hahahahahahaha
I love her energy so much
I love this channel and energy, built different, actually wants to make me build it
suffering is fun, that's a mood... also, turn Benni into a Mandalorian, and make the pulse rifle from the show
PLEASE make his master sword and sheath next!!!!! I cant wait to start making his shield this winter because of this video
"I made this myself, and I absolutely hate it.. BUT I FINSIHED IT" - I feel attacked by this
Absolutely beautiful!
Suffering is fun because cosplaying and crafting is part of the hobby hehehehe
Came for the shield subscribed because I fell in love with Svetlana
girl, you are absolutely amaizing, your supply of the content is so unique, I'm totally in love with your charisma!!! please make a mandalorian armour in one of youre next project
PS with love from Russia;)
Majora’s mask!! To keep up the Zelda theme lol
Another beautiful prop by kamuicosplay!!!
My favorite part is the hollow in your left foot, 7:06 Yeeaaahhh!!
It’s my first time watching one of your videos, and i love your personality💕💕💕💕
Svetlana! You're my favorite. I love you and Bennie so much haha. This makes me want to make a shield.
I JUST got this template from you the other day!! Thank you for doing this vid!
I just bought this template but can't seem to get it to print in the 4 sections. It either prints regular page sized or it only does the top left corner of the full sized. I tried the instructions given but my printer doesn't give me the setting to "do not resize" or "print on multiple pages". The closest options I've found give me only the top quarter as stated. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I love it , I made one myself a year or so ago and I picked up allot of useful techniques from this , and yes I hate it but finished it lol the way I see building xD
Your videos bring instant happiness 😂😂 also: the most presents have to go to the dogs! 😂
Ayyy nice I always love to watch your tutorials! Missed it
I busted out laughing at the "AND MY DOGS! Thank you." part 😂
Finally something for me. Awesome 👏🏻
I just found you. And you make me laugh out loud. Love it! 😁🤣
It looks AWESOME!!!😳
I remember when I first say your videos I asked if you have ever made a Zelda related cosplay or prop and was sad at that moment, I'm happy now C:
Great video as always.
Great job. It looks perfect
Yeah it does
"Suffering IS FUN" MEERRRCHHHH noww
Looks awesome!! Great job guys !! 😀
Svetlana you are a one of a kind human being XD ... and you and Benni did an amazing job as always!
Lol. Always so much fun to watch and very creative
That ending 😂😂😂 so accurate
I would love to see you make the Kingdom keyblade from kingdom hearts!
Omg yes, anything KH related will make me happy.
You're nuts! And that's why I love your tutorials!
Wow, your work is amazing I would love to see what you could create with the Warhammer 40k universe!
