I like how we actually turns into a microscope without any intrusive gimmicks. No Headmaster gimmick whatsoever. Just a robot that turns into a microscope. Though I kind of like the Reveal the Shield version because of its exploration half-track mode. If Perceptor did have a vehicle mode, that's not a bad choice.
Looks like third party may make a better microscope. Also, when you think about it, they can reuse this mold to make Decepticon Scalpel. Great review as always.

Great review of Transformers SS86 Perceptor, PPR! I feel like Hasbro has stepped up their game with these SS86 figures. They are so well done, very cartoon accurate and super fun to mess with. And with Perceptor, I think this SS86 release is the best mainline G1 Perceptor figure that we have ever gotten. Keep up the great work as always, man!

A great review. SS Perceptor looks so good, his Transformation scheme is nice. I also think his Tank mode looks more like a Howitzer. Out of what I already have, Grimlock and Slug are my favorite SS86 figures!

Perceptor is my favorite Deluxe
From this video he does look solidly built, though I wouldn't have minded a deeper shade of red like his G1 counterpart

Great review! It would be neat if you could swap microscopes with the Titans one. That scope looked a bit big for the TR one anyways. Also, slap a big Autobot insignia on the barrel!
Got mine from GameStop last week. Overall great figure. My only gripe, that large gap in the back in robot mode. I feel a couple of panels would’ve corrected that problem.
On my get list for sure. I had a real microscope back in the day I used as a stand in and still dunno why it came with a new.
Really great update and knowing comic wise he was a sniper really adds to his character.
One great review and a nice updated figure. Now bring on the cassette bots in core class.

I love this guy. I’ve been waiting for this for years from Hasbro. But I can’t help but wish his face was more white like in the movie/series and not silver. Maybe I’m just nitpicky?

My absolute favorite G1 toy from childhood, took me forever to get the tr one and thankfully found him at tfcon. Then they announced this lol. Awesome review (even learned something about the g1 because I never realized those parts pulled out of the legs)

I got my Perceptor last week and I absolutely love it. I never had the original G1 as I don't think it was ever released here in the UK so having this sort of makes up for that. He displays well with Blaster .
I'm really hoping if Toyhax do a sticker set for him they DON'T include any dead Optimus schematics for his microscope mode......

I am amused they include the artillery/tank mode just because it was a toy feature that he never actually uses in the animations.

I don't think this version really has anything over the TR one unless you hate headmasters, I'd definitely be looking for him if I didn't already have that though.
I see how it is, regular guy orders from EE and keeps seeing it delayed, but CZcams celebs get it early. j/k j/k :D I preordered mine from EE too, along with Blaster, ended up finding Blaster at Target and still waiting for my Perceptor.
I discovered with EE, it's best just to order a case.
Buying individual bots always seem to take longer.
The other figures in this wave are stupid. This is one that I need for sure!

Does SS86 Perceptor belong in my collection? (grabs tea cup and saucer) Indubitably.
Titans return Perceptor has a working microscope lens (kinda). No kidding, It is retractable and extendable like the G1 Perceptor.
Like how tall the new one is though. Hmm....
Im not sure how I would react to someone actually taking the time to correct my pronunciation of Perceptor (sounding like yours). I'd probably just grin and bare it; be the better man and all that but sheez

Odd, I've always pronounced it Percepter and I'm about as far north as you can get. Might be more of a cost thing, Prime.
