Hi there. My daughter (11) is recovering from a haemorrhage. She can clench her hand shut but not open the fingers. She has been training with a therapist to extend the fingers and has seen steady improvement. Does the glove obviate the need to recover movement or does it actually stimulate the brain/body connection? I don’t understand if the glove is meant to stimulate specific movement recovery or simply aid independence in the patient by taking over functions that are not possible at the moment? Thanks for your video.

Thanks for the video! What would you recommend for a stroke victim who can only fully extend their thumb and index finger? The pinky, ring, and middle fingers do not fully extend. They are bent at 90 degree angles at both joints with enough space to fit a folded wash clothe underneath. I was looking for something with springs in it that might fit under the fingers, but I haven't had much luck. Thanks again!

Thanks for the question! Is the hand flaccid or tight? If the hand is on the tighter side, we might recommend the SaeboStretch and SaeboFlex. If the hand is more flaccid, the SaeboGlove coupled with electrical stimulation might be better. We offer the Saebo AvivaStim and SaeboStim Micro for e-stim! All can be purchased online at saebo.com/shop
