  • Syncing the arms into the plane of rotation during the delivery is important in order to maximize efficient energy transfer into the baseball. It is a concept that is not talked about a lot, but is crucial for high-level mechanics. Basically, no matter the arm slot, whether it's side-arm or high 3/4's, the elbows should be in-line with the shoulders as shoulder rotation occurs, and the elbows and shoulders should move perpendicular to the spine angle.
For more information on this and other aspects of the delivery, check out Paul Nyman's article here (Paul was one of the first to talk about this back in the 90's/early 2000's): www.fangraphs.com/tht/exactly...

    What separates Tread Athletics?
Unlike most training philosophies, we take holistic approach to strength, power, and velocity development. We don’ t just evaluate and address strength and performance, but lifestyle factors, movement dysfunction, and nutritional habits as well. Rather than fitting athletes into one cut and dry mold, we adapt our programming to address each athlete’s individual needs and goals.
