God bless you and your cute little daughter. I already tried this camera and while it is great when it functions, the unit I received was faulty and the replacement they sent was faulty too. So two defective units in a row. They have some quality control issues, but to be honest their technical support is good.

Easy, yes. What about long term reliability? I've been reviewing and reading hundreds of videos and reviews. Reliability for this one and other solar powered bumper cameras have very mixed results. I WANT TO BELIEVE, but I am hesitant to buy something that is not going to last several years.
It would be a great thing, if there would be a combi-thing available, from such a backup camera in union with a dashcam. That would make pretty good sense to me, bun in this case the dashcam is still missing, isn't it?
nice review brian. i cant make mine to work. monitor has power. i can go to menu but looks like there is no viewing from the camera. its also charged. i tried to pair but its not doin anything. . what is holding that camera on the side while you drivin nice set up.

Please update after a week or two as I don't think my solar on mine works. I also think this camera is running 24/7 even when you are not using it. My battery dies after 5 days on a full charge.
Had it parked for 6 days, started true car and on it came. Full battery still. Been using it since, works flawless. There might be something wrong with yours
I was concerned that the solar panel would obstruct the licence decals (I have a BC plate too) but it looks like that is not the case. Did you have to modify anything?
what model is this? I thought this was 119 on amazon until I realized I clicked a totally diff model than this one? 175? Thats too high for what this is. I can see 120 130 but 160+ lol wow.

I've been dreading buying an older car for this very reason..and now I can rest easy!

Make sure to use stainless steel screws to secure the license plate.

Will do. So far mine is staying fully charged without issue. I’ll definitely update you if that changes though.
