Thanks for all your expertise on these Mini Excavators. I got a QH12 about a month ago and I have learned a lot from your videos. I have been making some attachments for mine during the winter. Going to add a hydraulic oil cooler to mine but waiting to see how you do yours first.
Man I subscribed to your channel a week ago, Thanks for the fantastic info about these mini Excavators! Your channel by far is the most informative and in-depth I have found. I’m looking forward to a new mini ex video whenever you post it. Hey I’m ready to order and test one of these out. I was Considering the QH12 because some people say they have a thread on hydraulic oil filter, but they don’t have a counter weight, I think I could Fab one up in needed. The Other machine I was looking at was a Rippa 1 Ton, it comes with the Hydraulic filter, electric cooling fan and a hydraulic thumb, for about $900 more??? Who knows they are all very similar in design. Thanks again for posting these videos 👍 PS I own a Yanmar B22 5K LBs mini excavator, good simple machine, it’s an early 90s gray market machine and a little harder to find parts for these days.
You have to be the most informative guy out there right now on these little machines. Thank you.. I have a wierd sound on my turntable when I move a certain way. Could you please do a video on how that works? I have only had mine for 2 months. I dont want to tear the whole thing apart unless I have to. Any info would be appreciated. I see your subscribers are going up also. Good for you.
@thegarageconnection are these motors avail to find in the US? And swing motor gear? When time comes to repair think it's going to be hard to fix cause of issue finding parts?
Great job on these videos. I have one of these machines and am learning a great deal from you! We just had to swap out the motor on ours. Replaced it with an Harbor Freight Predator 459cc. Works much better now.
You mentioned the chery machine being built differently. Is there a good way to beef these units up. Where can i find the motors or sprockets for my unit?
Man your (@thegarageconnection) videos are awesome. You've really got a talent for this, not sure what your day job is but there are corporations that would pay decent money for these types of product/training videos. Question from me: My excavator will start to hop on pavement or concrete when going forward or in reverse, but doesn't do so on slippery surfaces like grass or dirt. Is this to be expected from rubber tracks and this size. Is there is anything can be adjusted to minimize this? I only have hard pavement into and from the shop. Many thanks again!!
Great video! Thanks for all the info! Any thoughts on oil filling and draining of the travel and swing reducer? How and type of oil? The diggers have the lines, but aren't the typical drain and fill, the manual does have details, but they don't look correct. I emailed the company typhon, who said it doesn't need changed. Any details on how to drain and fill?
@@thegarageconnection Thanks a ton! I am probably going to purchase that guard soon... and how hard is it to install that flow reducer to ease the stopping so I don't destroy the gears?
Very informative videos. Thanks for sharing. I see a few different manufacturers use the drive motor with the 3rd port (like on your H12)that's capped off on most machines. I did find a picture of a Hightop brand with a 3rd line coming out of that port. Any idea what it's used for?
Awesome series of videos! I just picked up a miva VA15 almost identical to a AGT H15. I believe mine has the basic same components as the H12. I noticed in the limited time I have on mine that the right side drive motor seems to be weak at certain times and I have to "cheat" to right side or give it more lever than the left to go straight. Would you have any idea what that may be? With a new machine I hope it not a bad drive motor, hoping it's maybe some adjustment or a restricted/kinked hose. Looking forward to more videos on these machines!
The hydraulic fluid is going to flow to the path of least resistance. In your case (and in mine) the fluid simply goes past the first valve it comes to, and will keep flowing to the left track valve because it’s considered the end of the line at that point.
Hi, so I built myself a mini excavator with a 360 degree rotating turret, the problem is that it doesn't stop when I stop it, the motor runs idle even by hand
Good information, thanks. Now if you can find a different gearbox for these units that can speed them up!

You bet, I’ll get something up for you

@@sealthedeal716 I’m in the process now of building an inventory of parts domestically for this exact reason

Does the Predator seem to have more power? How long did the swap take?
can youbreplace 1 speed motors with 2 spd?
Why did you swap motor?
Your channel is going to be huge. Great videos !!!
Nice job. You didn't mention how to source the replacement drive motor and what it costs. Thanks.
Can oil be drained and refilled on this type drive motor or is it just hyd fluid lubricated?
Thanks
Another very informative video. I keep sharing them. Keep it up.
As an H12 owner I agree!

Very common and my machines do it also. I am a machinery technician for the US Coast Guard.

They do not require any draining

Another awesome video buddy! Just a quick question are you using lock tight on all your bolts?
I don’t use it when there’s another form of lock in place, in this case the lock washers
Can you review the swing motor, swing bearing, excess play when swinging. How to tighten it?
Video uploading now. Sadly there’s no way to tighten it up
Is there separate gear oil in that drive motor other than hydraulic fluid?
My old bobcat excavator had a full and drain plug for gear oil.
Thanks
Not that I know of

just bought a qh12, do these drive motors use gear oil as well? If there is where are the plugs for maintenance. Thanks
They’re lubricated my the hydraulic oil
btw i just used a HF coupon to get 20% off of the HF 5kw inverter generator with remote start (auto choke).
How do you adjust the hydraulic flow for each motor?

Hi beautiful video, listen, could you please tell me how the engine gets stuck while you unscrew the bolt? Thank you .
I’m not sure what you mean

Thanks for the visit
I see that there is a plate on the engine. please write the engine designation
Add a hydraulic thumb
Is there any way to get replacement parts for these machines.
Yes I actually have been in touch with the manufacturer on getting replacement parts availability
