I love that this competition is back!! So fun! 😄 Laura, my two-year-old daughter often watches your videos with me. Yesterday, we went to a garden center, and as we’re walking around I’m commenting on flowers I think are pretty, and she’s following behind singing her little quiet songs. She suddenly stops and says, “No-wah loves these!”
I asked, “Noah? Who’s Noah?”
My daughter: “NO-WAH loves them!”
Me: “Noah? Oh LAURA!” 🤣♥️ Safe to say you have a really big fan and a really little fan in our house 💞

I am rooting for the underdog! It is nice to see a one plant pot. These plants in my area are $5 each so a lot of people can't afford to put 4- 6 or more plants in a pot. We all know that Laura's pots are going to be awesome because that is her wheelhouse but the grass king may surprise us!!! I'm sure they will all be amazing.
Does anyone else just love that they started this channel so Aaron could do filming and editing and Laura went along supporting his desire. And now years later Aaron has a great memory for so many plants too and is clear on the ones he loves. I love that he is in awe of Laura’s planting skills and so openly admires what she does while learning so much himself. Sometimes I know he asks questions to help make videos interesting but it’s been great to see his real interest in plants grow over the years including of course his love of trees.
And the grass in a planter cracked me up! 😆

I adore how you two have the loving competition. It challenges the other in so many ways and makes each of you stronger. Plus, gently leaning what works and doesn’t work is part of the fun in gardening! Like you’re not rooting for either to fail, but you still want to win! 😂 This container competition is by far one of my favorite things you have done. I also love the idea of having the kids do a container or two and then a plant combination competition at the garden center with Laura and her mom. Say whose plant combos sell out the quickest maybe!

I probably would have put some sweet potato vine in there for a bit of contrast and spiller. (And because I LOVE them). But it will be a good test of the bubblegum to see what just one plant will do.
That container should be Awesome! I have planted only one in a large container and I had to cut back my bubblegum twice during the summer ....it grew to the ground😮
@laraemitchell9064 Agree. I have tried to purchase bubblegum 2 different years and I just don't like the color. I end up choosing something else. I bet the lime green would "cool it down", like Laura says.

That Bubblegum will fill that pot and then some!! Very vigorous growing plant. I use one per pot as well and they always please. Try it sometime.

Laura, I was so surprised with your 1st pot. You usually don’t pick those color combinations. It’s my favorite so far! I love those colors together! I know by the end of the season, I will probably have a new favorite. I always love when you and Aaron do this contest!!

I'm playing catch up on videos so I'm a few days late but..... I LOVE watching Aaron garden!!! I want to see him plant out an entire garden bed. His perspective is so different than Laura's but just as beautiful. Can't wait to see all the pots in their full glory.... it's going to be amazing! You both are sooooo encouraging to each other.... ❤❤❤ I think for the pots---Aaron's #1 and Laura's #6 are my favs so far.....

Following along and watching how each container developed was so fun the last time you both had a competition. I did notice that Aaron seems much more confident this time around. At this point I’m ‘rooting’ for both #4 & 5 containers. Purple and yellow vs purple and silver - may the best container win! (Spoiler: they’re all winners).

While running a ton of errands on this crazy busy, but gorgeous Saturday, I decided to visit a garden center due to new ownership, and the first thing just inside the greenhouse door was a Supertunia Vista Bubblegum, and while too many Proven Winners is not in my budget, I was so inspired by Aarons go-to of planting just ONE in that big planter, that I bought TWO b/c why not, right? I'm going to follow your lead and plant nothing else in the pot but those and see how it goes. I believe in you Aaron! Hopefully this will be my redemption for being on team artichoke! lol

At this time, #2 steals the show for me! I also am very attracted to #6 and #9. Having said all that, I applaud Aaron for putting just one bubblegum in the pot - can’t wait to see how that turns out. I also am impressed by how encouraging you are/were to one another!

I love that you've brought back this competition. I think, because this is what you do for a living, it makes perfect sense for you to do all of these pots differently. Right now, 9 and 10 strike me the most, but I'm a purple flower girl, so I'm betting 1, 4 or 7 will end up being my fav.
