    ABOUT DANDY WELLINGTON
    Dandy Wellington is a bandleader, entertainer, event producer, and creative consultant, born-and-raised in Harlem, New York. Influenced by the style and skill of classic entertainers of the past but with his feet planted in the present, it’s no surprise that this Tisch grad has made a name for himself across the globe. From producing stylish events all over New York to performances in St. Petersburg, London, and Sydney, Dandy solidifies himself as not only an impeccably dressed man-about-town, but a bonafide man-of-the-world.
    Boasting an impressive and eclectic list of clients that includes the likes of Pomelatto, Bergdorf Goodman, RewardStyle, and the National Museum of African Art, Dandy puts his uniquely well-dressed stamp on everything from his events to his music. Whether he’s organizing a dinner party at Norwood Club or crooning with his jazz band at The Rainbow Room, the crowd is well-coiffed and the scenery is elegant.
    Dandy’s signature panache and eye for detail has earned him features in The New York Times, Vogue Magazine, and various other outlets renowned for their taste and sophistication. Mr. Wellington epitomizes the undeniable cool of the Jazz Age, while also bringing a progressive perspective befitting of the ever-changing landscape of our modern lifestyle. His appreciation for the swinging big bands, elegant parties, and beautifully tailored clothing of the 1920’s/30’s, paired with his contemporary edge, make him a certifiable renaissance man and a true modern dandy.

      @ElizabethChronis Před 4 lety +6

      I remember visiting NYC in late spring/early summer several years back and being shocked at how much hotter it felt than Dallas, despite it being measurably cooler ... all that humidity reminded me of my summers in Houston with my grandma! I can only imagine how that humid heat is made significantly less tolerable in a wool suit ...

    • @kzisnbkosplay3346
      @kzisnbkosplay3346 Před 4 lety +3

      @@ElizabethChronis That is true too. I was in Chicago one year when it hit 100, and I was kinda like, whatever. But yeah, it literally knocked me back when I walked out of the shade into a street. At the time I blamed it on humidity, because its way more humid than NM, but I hadn't thought to compare it to Dallas. I have worked on a dark roof in the middle of summer in Dallas (0/10 do not recommend) but it wasn't ever as much of a smack in the face as Chicago was. Now you have me thinking...

    My family is from Alentejo, Portugal and the older gentlemen there have no concept of a summer wardrobe. We can have temperatures over 40ºC/104ºF and they're wearing wool trousers. Their argument is that what protects you from the cold also protects you from the heat.

    Your closet is drool worthy 🤯🥰 BTW so is your closet space in NY, when you opened that door to a hall of closet space my jaw dropped. Two tips no one asked for, at building stores they have cedar paneling and you can have it cut in half and put one in different closets to banish moths. You lightly sand it twice a year to bring out the scent. You can also use crushed bay leaf and mint oil to keep wardrobe eating critters out. Lastly anything knit likes laying flat over hanging up, what about more of the wonderful trunks for your sweaters? PS Loved when you came back the second day in the blue striped outfit 😍🤴🏿

    I just found your channel (having followed you on Instagram for ages) and what a lovely collection! Seeing so many colourful pieces makes me really happy. Would love to see you film against that purple wall so we can see more of the decor, or against the wall on the right, in order to put the focus on you! If lighting is a concern, photography reflectors are easy to get and will bounce the window light to fill in shadows. I also find the music a trifle loud sometimes when the lyrics compete with your voice (the music choices are great though), and I would love more detail shots like the one at 3:54 so we can see all the beautiful fabrics. But I'm confident that your editing rhythm will develop and I'm so excited to see this channel grow :)

      Me too! I feel like no one wears hats enough. This is my wilderness explorers hat for the exploring of wilderness.

    @dandywellington do you actually wear all of those clothes? (I ask in awe, not judgement.) I literally only own 2 "good outfits", 2 at home outfits, PJ's, 2 warm jumpers and a pair of gardening pants. The volume of stuff in your wardrobe in mind boggling to me. Its so fantastically wonderful. I adore your ties. The colours!

    Great to see! That's a lot of ties, wow! I would love to see a video in which you share how you dress tastefully and vintage in really high temperatures.
