Just finished with my last son! Taught for seven years in the school system as well , began our family and started on the homeschool journey for almost 19 years . Not easy but WORTH EVERY MINUTE!!!
24/7 job that your children (and husband) will thank you for years from now!!! AWESOME WORK MOM!!!
♥️♥️♥️
Same here. It is a blessing 6 years into homeschooling and even with its challenges it is amazing. I'm grateful everyday that I get to do this with and for my family
THEY FAILED URIAH
Yvette is a blessing!! We understand that she is the great woman behind the good man !
There always is!
Great woman beside a great man, but I get you
Girl those kids will wake up one day and see all the love for them so easily in what you do and what you are. It still hits me in layers what my mom did for me and I'm 30. I am moved to tears some time
Bravo to you. You're doing a wonderful job. My heart feels hopeful when I see young moms embracing their influence on the children. You and Yours are a blessing to the world .
♥️♥️♥️
THEY FAILED URIAH
@@dannygranger9271 why do you think so?

You all never disappoint! Glen. The way you celebrate your wife is a blessing. My husband does the same. Thank you for seeing her and praising her for her efforts. Both of you are great gifts to our world. May the Lord continue to direct you, expand you and equip you all to do what needs to be done for His glory 🥰💝
Ase!
I know it's not good too look at influencers as goals all the time but I have to say it. Yvette is my personal goals... from being natural, to being fit, to taking care of the kids, to homeschooling, to being a wife! That's all goals that I have personally and seeing someone live that is just motivation that I can do it one day too. I love this family soo much. Keep doing what you do. ❤️💛💚
I'd like a tutorial/daily guide directly from her!😭
URIAH HAS BEEN FAILED
Why didn’t I know this sweet lady was a school teacher? I love y’all so much!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
ahhaah right???
And math for seven years.
We should’ve known right 😂
Currently a homeschooling army wife and honestly I didn't plan on this and it's been stressful. I've been really beating myself up. Please do more content like this. I'm stressed most days and try to stay positive for my household but it gets so so so hard!!! I want to honestly embrace this new journey and flourish as much as possible.
hey, I'm not from the US so i'm not really familiar with this homeschooling culture. can I ask, why are you doing this?
@@luisacavalcante6129 Personally, schools in the area I live in aren't the best. I feel as though I can provide a better education at home. There's freedom in the way I teach my child in accordance with his learning style. The normal school hours are long and harsh and I prefer my child to have more freedom. We can travel and move around as we please and overall it's a better experience for my entire household. I love it, and so does he.
@@amberjsmith2022 oh! I see. make sense! do you plan on doing until highschool or before that?
I'm from Brazil, so here we don't even have homeschool (it's forbidden by law lol), and we have two divisions of schools: public (municipal, state and federal) and private, but the private ones are very affordable, so it's not really a problem. I take no interest in homeschooling my future kids, but I find interesting to know how it works for others in other countries.
It feels that way at first. It's totally normal. Believe or not, the odds are with you!
1. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT compare your schedule or curriculum to a "normal" school system. This internal battle will weigh you down.
2. Look for content and books to encourage yourself.
3. Celebrate the little victories.
4. Reading, Writing, Arithmetic are great core subjects. Using History books, biography, etc can be incorporated for reading lessons.🙂
5. For those who's first profession wasn't teaching, "Spectrum" has workbooks that provide gradual lessons with plenty of extra practice pages.
I also would create my own worksheets online if I felt that they needed more practice on a concept.
6. Very very important.....it's ok if you don't remember how to do that Math problem girl! Be vulnerable and say such to your kids. Show them how to find the resource: CZcams, phone a friend, google to find out!
This is the staple of homeschooling😃
Exploring the world together ❤️
@@istandinawe6319 Thank you !!! ❤️
Beautiful, black, intelligent, and positive influencers! You all make our world a better place. Black excellence at its finest! Take a bow! You make us proud! Never ask why GOD brought you this far, because the answer is, as a people we needed you. Keep kicking down doors and lifting up a nation!
“Your husband should probably fix that.”😊 Is it possible to love this family more than I already do? 💞🙏🏽🙌🏾
yes....yes it is ahaha
I LOVE your content. I’m not Black, but I love Allllll Of This!! So wholesome and true. I was a homeschooling mom for 18 years, and it was challenging. You’re leaving a legacy for future generations so beautifully.
I love it too because it’s from the heart. The whole thing with this family is that they are celebrating their heritage without becoming victims of the system and the stereotypes that are apportioned to being black in America.
I love that this channel is owned and was created by a black father who out of his own experiences, seeing the general negativity around black fathers decided to do something using his talent and creativity to challenge and change this. Taking his family along on this journey we have seen some tweaks and changes. I love that both parents have diverse networks of friends and a pioneering attitude which definitely allows them to create their own identity and that legacy for the future.
Your channel is doing such a service to teach people that the #1 one influence in the life of a child is their parents. Not the government, not the schools, not society. And to see parents embracing this is so refreshing. You're raising delightful, well-behaved, intelligent, curious children and setting an example for the next generation.
I look forward to your podcast every week and I love how transparent you both are. Love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹❤️❤️❤️
Tuna Punaaaa Trinni Whoahhhhhhhh
🇹🇹 I am delighted to see a fellow Trini following a wholesome podcast. 😀
Everything about their journey is authentically portrayed and I am here for it.
The ending was just hilarious. The kids love being in your presence.
Yvette you are a queen, it's so amazing that you are homeschooling your 4! I've only got 1 student and it's a lot!
Queen!
Favourite part when Yvette hugged Uzi. I think that's the tenderness from a parent we all need and want as a child. It makes a difference between whether you trust your parents do embrace you when you're hurt. I aspire to have that natural acceptance and patience to be like her if I ever become a parent
I was so delighted that you shared this with us. I homeschooled my sons the last two years of their k-12 education because I had become so disappointed with the public school system within my community. I wish I had the opportunity to do it sooner. They are both adults now. However, my youngest (age 22) recently told me that if I ever have more children (Good Lord, I am nearly 51 years old - what?), that I should definitely homeschool them. That was his endorsement of homeschooling. He said that it was not only better for him academically, but it was better for him emotionally. Like you, I am also a teacher. I am teaching graduate students, which is less complicated than teaching young children. Thank you for sharing this with others so they can see that it is hard work but still possible and very rewarding. More importantly, I am glad that you all were intentional about sharing Yvette's contributions. Loved it. Blessings to you all. 😊💛🙏
P.S. Can I just say that I love how protective Anaya is of Uzi. She was like, "hospital." It was not up for negotiation. She was adamant about it. Lol. I just love that. I also loved how Yvette was encouraging Uzi that he was able to endure what he had just experienced. He just wanted some mama love and he got it, didn't he? That was so sweet. I know that you all get frustrated at times. However, the patience that you have even in the midst of it leaves me in awe every time. Much love, respect, and prayers to the family. Be encouraged. Keep your network popping. Lol.
BEAUTIFUL appreciation from a husband for his true super woman!!!!!
This channel is healing. 🙋🏾♀️🥲Thank you for the sacrifice and vulnerability of sharing pieces of your lives and sweet family with us. 🥰🙏🏾🤸🏾♀️
I love so much about this video. I love watching Yvette in her element…with her hubby and teaching & loving on her babies. And I especially love how Glen is giving much deserved “flowers” to his wife, while verbalizing to the world how much he loves, respects, and adores her. You all are a wonderful depiction of family in our Black culture. Keep being unapologetically you. 🖤
U SHOULDA GOT A MILLION LIKES
What an inspiration you are Yvette!
Yes she always teaching. Teaching some of us what a strong supportive positive wife is.🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽♥️
How sweet of you to give your wife her flowers. Love it!!!
Yvette is a force! That schoolroom looks amazing! And I love how Anaya got to tell the story of what happened to Uzi before he was able to make up a story. Lol
i love how you listened and upgraded the piano 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 most people wouldve put it off
So loved every drop of this video from Yvette’s “not quite done” caveat of the classroom tour to Anaya’s diagnosis of Uzi’s bump on the eye ( interesting that he didn’t blame her for the bump!) to the wonderfully appreciative husband and family man Glen, putting the new piano together with much perspiration. You are a beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing with us.
😂yes I’m surprised the always entertaining and adorable Uzi didn’t blame it on his big sis
Your GREATEST INVESTMENT is in your children!!! Awesome job!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Good for you! I say , if a parent has the opportunity to do this they definitely should.
If I ever have kids, I would definitely want to homeschool. The public school system is pushing to much of the world's agendas on children.
@@tstewart8698 what agenda?
I smiled through this whole video! I've been teaching for 17 years, and although I don't have children, if I had the space, I think I'd help parents who couldn't do themselves. You're an amazing woman, partner, and mother to your children! Uzi at the end! Anaya always trying to be helpful!
Love the room. You did an awesome job, Yvette. Such a blessing to be able to home school your children ❤️.
Thank you! ♥️
This is one of my favorite videos and I have a lot from your channel. Yvette makes mothering look effortless. She’s so gentle and thoughtful. Particularly when Uzi interrupted her outro (which was hilarious) and when she told Aniyah to go get some Vaseline for her brother. I’m a teacher too and hope to have “a situation” like this when I have kids. Nice work, Yvette! TiK Tok is inspiring you and you’re inspiring us 💕 much love to y’all.
I love her voice. Always so calm and steady.
Your family's journey is so beautiful and shared so authentically. Thank you for sharing it with us and also celebrating Yvette as, Yvette, you celebrate your work and contributions, and wisdom (homeschooling is noooooo joke), So healing for me to see both parents feeling good about their work and contributions and the love they are giving to the little ones. Your faith in each other is healing to watch.
Your videos aren't long enough - we love yall too much 😩😩😩
Yvette is wonderful. A real role model, someone to look up to.
I really appreciated this video. It gave Yvette the shine, attention and moment she deserves where it relates to her contribution as a wife, mother, food architect to children w/allergies and educator. She is definitely the backbone to this family unit cause without her and her contributions, Beleaf in Fatherhood couldn't have grown to be what it is. Love this for her!💪🏾👏🏾👑
How proud I am of you!
God has truly blessed you!
Beleaf, you betta give your wife some shine! This is SO dope! That’s why I mess witchyall!
Anaya is her parent’s perfect reflection ❤
I could not be a mom and a teacher to my children. Kudos Yvette is amazing 💛💛💛
When the kids kept interrupting the outro, I felt that to the depths of my mummy soul! Great job Yvette and Glen. I love your channel.
I love how u and ur wife interact with your kids
Beautiful family. Thank you mom and dad for taking the role God designed you for seriously. God bless you and those lovely children.❤ ✝
Yvette is the big sister I wish I had. She’s so sweet and bright 🤩👏🏾 love you guys!
Your marriage is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your struggles as well as your breakthroughs. It’s encouraging, honest, and gives God so much glory. Praying for you guys to stay on this path and for you to continue to see The Lord’s favor in all areas of your life. ❤
At the 0:17 time mark, I pressed pause just to read the school newspaper interview with Yvette. Due to the font size, it was a painstaking read, but well worth it!
This informational nugget earned her several facets to the 💎 gem of a woman 💎 she already is.
She & her family are truly a treasure to the black community 🖤💝🖤
You go Evette👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾You’re an awesome mom and lady🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
anaya is too cute! "hospital dad" lol i love that
Anaya is a whole vibe. LOL ❤️
I am so glad we get more Yvette. I’ve loved watching for years and connect with her so it’s fun to see her in different ways!
I admire her so much! ❤ What a strong woman! Such a strong pillar for this family and I always see her with a smile on her face!
Yvette is an inspiration. ❤️
I fully understand why you feel in love with Yvette. She is beautiful, considerate, bright and loving. Yvette is such a great educator - I was in classes for gifted children, advanced classes, etc. and I would have LOVED to have had her as my educator. OMG. I wish I was your child - and I'm a white woman who is older than both of you - because your message of love and care transcends pigmentation or culture - we share the goal of wanting the best for our loved ones. We all want to be celebrated and prompted to enjoy learning and living. You both are sweet with your kids and one another - you're manifesting a calm, loving environment for your family and us. Thank you!
Strong family, strong society. Thanks for your contribution. God bless you.
Hold up!
Sooooo we’re not gonna realize this is HER FAMILY!! She’s amazing
Her face when she JUST wanted to do the outro despite the kids craziness.. I feel that in my soul daily😄 gotta love the cute chaos though!❤️🤪

I truly enjoyed watching this episode! I’m a Mom parenting my daughter solo and we’ve been homeschooling for the past 3 years. We started out with me as a her main teacher in a program I partnered with that helped me create the curriculum of our dreams! She is now doing online school. So I’ve gone from very hands on to no hands on. Watching you today Yvette, makes me want to find a way to be more intentional about creating the best experience I can for my now 10th grader! Thank you fro deciding to share💚!
Trust the process ❤️💚💛 thankyou for sharing your space with us Yvette! ✨️
She is a genius!
Thank you for your family’s ministry.
I have followed you & your music for a while & I also greatly appreciate a strong black man leading his family in the way of the Lord & sharing that with the world. It helps young black women like me without a strong family to have so much hope. Blessings & prayers over all of you ❤
Not even married with children but it’s my dream to homeschool my children ! Good on you guys for real, you’re doing your children a huge favor. Love it
I absolutely love you guys! thank you for always being a place that feels safe.
I feel envy and administration at the same damn time.
You my sister are the epitome of black excellence!
And Mr Husband, you are the definition of a black King!
Stay up! Stay woke! Stay focused!
I love your family Glenn y’all are comedians 😂
Yvette is meal prep GOALS 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🤎
Yvette has truly inspired me to just do it! She gets it….progress over perfection and I love that! Plus Uzi and Anila are so stinking cute ❤❤❤❤
I didn’t send my kids back after Christmas break! Woke up in a panic like WTH did I do? Yet GOD continues to show me signs I did the right thing! Been following y’all forEVER this is again RIGHT on time!! Need more of this content for sure! Thanks 🥰
I love you guys on your relationship and your parenting. I love how you put your babies first ❤️

Yes!!! More of Evett and the kids homeschooling and music!!
Yesssss!! Loved this ! AND APPRECIATE THIS SO MUCH!!! Yvette's representation means so much to me!! SHINES the light for me,as I hold the fort down. I could say so much more, but I'll just say THANKS A TON!
Yvette!!! Wow , you are incredible.
“Only thing about to bleed is those lips cuz they so chap!” 😂❤ DEAD!!!
I love that glen got the piano
She so beautiful, her skin is everything. ❤️❤️
Love the video. Dry lips is a sign of dehydration. Make sure young Uzi and others drink non tap water. Squeeze lemon or grapefruit juice into water or have him consume more fresh fruit, black grapes, watermelon, real coconut water etc. to cure dehydration. Peace to the family. 💕
Thank you so much for posting this video. Very proud of you🤗👸🏾😌🤴🏾💚. High honors to my fellow homeschooling mom's and dad's, and to active parents in their public/private schooled childrens lives 👏🏾🙌🏾😇💙😍🥰🤜🏾🤛🏾
Yvette you are a wonderful mom.
Absolutely loved this episode!
I went from working in ECE centers to private child care as a nanny and the adjustments have taken me the better part of the last year to finalize and redo lol.
As a fellow educator I know that so many on the outside of our field take for granted and are oblivious or ignorant to the level of intentionality that we put into our teaching spaces, planning and interactions. When it comes to great teachers who genuinely care about their career and children, everything we do has a reason and a purpose. It is all necessary for the betterment and support of each individual child as well as the flow of the whole day to day going ons.
Yvette you are radiant and it's a joy to see you take up space in the best kind of way! Thank you for all that you do for your family including taking care of yourself and your needs 🥰✨✨
That Yvette and Uzi bit was HILARIOUS! Wonderful video. Mrs. Melanin never ceases to amaze me.
It is such a blessing that Yvette is able to home school the kids. Everything looks super organized! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s lovely that the kids are involved in sports and learning to play the piano. #Blessed ❤️
This is why the author of proverbs calls wisdom “Lady Wisdom”. Watching this is like seeing proverbs come to life.
Joy Emanates From Her Soul🤎🌹 God Bless You & Your Family
Vet you are amazing!!

"Process of what?" The level of pettiness tho.😂
