    This is an incredible way to remove corrosion and old paint on metal surface. Impressive process of handling metal corrosive surface.

    @LEEFABRICATED It probably lasts much longer than the window in a cabinet since you have more room and are able to move around the object and hit it at angles where the abrasive is not coming back at you. My window is good for about 2 hrs in the small cabinet. I get a 1/10 inch at lowes cut to size(3from a $12 sheet) for $4 a sheet and it lasts 10 times longer than peel off sheets and a higher percentage of the time is spent with a clear view.

    If you can soak the big ferrous metal parts in a tub of household vinegar for 48 hours prior to sandblasting it. Your work time is reduced by 75%. A lot of the corrosion will just wash off with a garden hose.

    how to dock them together if the blaster unit has a EURO size connection?

  • @JimmysTractor
    @JimmysTractor Před 13 lety

    I figured it would go much quicker. I get about 1/2 that speed, but then I realized that my nozzle is probably the same size as yours. Of course my 60 gal tank is gone in 2 minutes using 30CFM, but I guess that's about right. Is that an 85cf/min compressor?

    The compressor should never be anywhere near the blasting . the filters will clog up in minutes and you will get reduced air flow as well as increased compressor wear .

    • @jayperez8461

      Pull the air filters and put some air through them 😂

    • @eighthelement
      @eighthelement Před rokem

      This is correct, compressor should be at least 30 feet away, preferably more. Check wind direction and make sure dust doesn't reach the compressor.

  • @darkdrakex

    Alot of pro sandblasters use AO or Aluminum Oxide. Its super expensive but it works wonders. The main thing you wana look for is something that etches the metal and doesent peen it. If it peens it the powdercoat will not have a proper surface to hold onto the substrate with and not work well. I hope u bought a really good gun as well as the hobby guns suck.

    Now try running a 6 ton single action running off a ingersol 1600 or a sulair 950 running 3 and a whip on a number 7 nosle you can actually back up off of what you are blasting and be able to control your surface prep a lot better

      No. water blasting uses high pressure pump not a blasting pot. It should spray water up 40.000 Psi so able to remove rust & old paint

      That is about a $9000 USD set up brand new you could find it cheaper but thats ballpark figure ive found double action pots for $300 and a good compressor ingersol 375 for $10,000 then again i got an older sullair 875 sitting at my shop and only paid $6500 for it

    • @jayperez8461
      @jayperez8461 Před 5 lety

      140 psi constant is sufficient I turn mine up to 150 on a ingersol 375 on my pipeline rig and my tank rig running a sulair 900 with a 6 ton single action and running 3 and a whip I get 140 at the nosle

    Nice demonstration, but why was this being used in a public area without any protection? Sand particles flying out into the street. Complete health and safety violation there. Lots of hazardous substances being thrown out into the air and into the paths of pedestrians.
    What should have been done was to erect dust catcher nets at either end to prevent airbourne dusts going into the street, if not limiting it.
