I played on and off for a while, but it is the same as genshin for me where I just prefer supporting others and not really focusing on damage. I am, however, sad I had to miss out on the second wuthering waves closed beta due to college picking up at the time.

Alot of youtubers, fandom parasitize Genshin Impact content and spread propaganda about other games being bad blabla even though the two are different style. What I see in ToF is that they try to follow up a lot in characters, weapons, new style map, new difficulty and so the bad guys call it powercreep .
Isolate yourself in a world with only yourself and compare it to an interactive online gaming community.
Over the years, GI hasn't had much in the way of character design, weapons, or simple challenging content. Tapping into the psychology of those who work less and enjoy more. You know I like new changes and difficulties in a game, Interact and chat with other players while in the game instead of a place where I isolated myself, the game didn't even add much after all these years, except a main story.

@@Stixxy i dont mind really. To have an open world like genshine and have that character design and not be turn based is actually good. Loslyn however is a must pull now not only cuz of how she looks. The weapon seems to be a good wide area crowd control weapon and isnt all over the place like the spear was.

they have to fix the power creep(it is to big),i had Yu-Lan C4(fiona and the Jojo Boi) with more then ok gear(something 75-80k power lvl) and then there are some Mimi main just staying there and holding 1 botton and they make as much dmg as me or more.

Power creep has not been much of an issue since 3.0. It still exists, sure, but compared to before the difference is very small between new characters.
powercreep is not like before,character stats are somewhat balanced

I think more and more games are gonna follow this trend. At least until unemployment rates gets better, which doesn't seem bound to happen any time soon. I also think isekai animes will decrease at the same time.

It's just not casual friendly with how bad they make balancing and also with making events. Like now the event you need to hunt the world boss Harrah, you got those veteran die hard player who probably camped and kill the world boss at all channel whenever they spawn, so if you're not lucky when you log in you can't even participate in the event coz no world boss for you to kill to farm the event items. Switching channel need to wait 30 minutes, waiting boss spawn need an hour. They think all the players gonna sit their do nothing and wait for the boss to spawn ?? That's how you design shitty event.
You know you can easily switch channels by joining some party on other channel and teleporting to them? 🤔
I used to switch channels like that too but then I found out there are always like 50 parties created to kill some boss and you just join them and casually teleport to leader.

When is the reboot that will supposedly keep the power creep under control? Is that still a thing? I tried this game out on launch but only lasted like 3 days. I didn't have a good feeling about it and the story was meh. I would be willing to try it out again if there was a fresh server where they keep the power scaling under control.

As much as I literally always took TOF side and defended it this game is beyond saving. The China world literally killed my joy for good because this setting is so old as a holed pair of socks. I wish those gacha games would more dive into a scenery like Belobog was in Star Rail at its start. But they always do a China world and not even a futuristic one which kinda looks like Blade Runner which would be amazing but they do it the old fashion "we have seen it a 1000 times already" way. And collecting all those millions of orbs was tedious. And honestly the new futuristic town seen in 4.0 looks way too clean, generic and bland. There is no character and uniqueness to it. I played 100s of hours in TOF and I really enjoyed 2.0 with the desert and all a lot but 3.0 really was too long and to repetitive.

2.0 didn't save the game. 3.0 didn't save the game. In fact, it was in a state of DECLINE when 3.0 came out! Normally you expect at least a temporary boost when expansions come out. It really paints a picture of only the die-hards still playing.
I have nothing against ToF. But the past several months have been holding fairly steady, which means it's also not seeing growth. And with highly anticipated games like WW, ZZZ, Enfield and many others on the horizon, I expect we'll be seeing drops.

I just went back to that game few days ago just because I missed it, I've been playing since it's first released and I stopped playing because the Vera map wasn't available at that time and in my opinion the main problem of tower of fantasy is the story is to boring and generic so I don't even feel any connection to the characters

With contant disappointments of players, I doubt.. Played it on realese, enjoyed it then got gate keep, tried playing for a few weeks but got bored.. Tried it again in ps4 and it was lazily optimized, it's so laggy then quit again.. Also the constant banners on your face is also a problem like if you pull now the next banner will be power crept so why bother, got tired with it I hope I could block it on my feeds.. It's like genshin but worst quality, as much as I hate genshin devs, the quality of the game is still stellar compared to tof which the devs keeps fucking it up

Don't know what you're talking about, the game is already generous with the gacha currency. I have over 1400 pulls saved for limited banners, and the only money I spend is on the $5 monthly and the $10 battle pass (of which I didn't even buy the last four). I've been saving since 3.0, so that's an average of at least 163 pulls per version update (we are currently on 3.7, and I had about 100 pulls at the start of 3.0).
@@Rulutieh Maybe things changed then. I was mostly playing during 1.0 and 2.0, the game gave peanuts. Mostly purple and yellow orb, no reds and not a ton of black crystals.
@@YanDaMan263 It's true that you get more now than back then, but I think you must be misremembering. Events have always given red pulls, and since 1.5 they have been a reward on every new map. You don't get dark crystals from pods anymore, but you can get a lot from the gachapons in Mirroria to make up for it (it just takes longer to get).
The game has always been generous with pulls, you could easily A1 to A3 every character of your element as an F2P, depending on how lucky you get. The problem however was that units got powercrept WAYY too fast, even for a gacha. I remember Fenrir literally being THE meta for a while because she was literally outputting 50% to 100% more damage than everyone else even at A1 on top of having sustain. Thankfully nowadays it isn't so bad as before, and it's great because we have team options now making actual ingame progression matter more (Titan gear, Suppressor, etc.).
No matter what they do to the character, make them better or more revealing, their story telling us just plain dogsh*t...not worth sticking by.v

My issue is it's story is too spread out and too far between updates for that, and the network issues. Otherwise I quite enjoy it.

I had fun playing tof, but hearing about the reboot killed any desire to play. When more details come out about what the reboot means exactly that might change, but I'll probably be into other games by then

I think its just a terrible game and its sad to see it and games like snowbreak that are declining resort to things like fanservice just cause. That evangelion collab should have been in a better game. I deleted snowbreak cause i wasn't really having fun with any content and it selling out to fanservice is just annoying.
They need to understand that the game still needs to be good. Or else... people are just gonna take screenshots and coom that way instead of buying anything and actually playing the game. 🤣

It is sad to see that this is the only way they can make more money while games like Genshin, Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves can do things normally and make people want to spend regardless.

Wait, Nikke did it first. Like they were on the right track on day one. Snowbreak was the first to pull the handbrakes and take the detour towards Nikkeland, now TOF is up to pursuit.
After they had the server merge or whatever the games optimization became so shitty, it doesn't matter if i play on pc, mobile or ps5 it glitches lags and even feels clunkier than it did before

I decided to play a month ago when the Eva event happened and the game in the beginning is totally confusing and with the start being different from the when they first came out which made it worse. Also the game becomes extremely extremely boring after a while

For me it started out fun, but update after update the power creeping is fckin insane, not to mention the predatory nature of the game's microtransacrions... Gotta pump tons of $$$ to actually enjoy the game or else you going to look basic AF visually and getting carried; stuck as healer or tank all the time in combat

I played ToF for a good 3-4 months after it released on PS5. I enjoyed it simply for the gameplay, skipped most of the story since it wasn't engaging at all. I made the executive decision to quit after seeing the rapid power creep banner after banner. It was a heavy investment to keep up and I just wasn't with it.
Let me know when TOF fix their god damn character creation.

I remember this guy named Ryan bitched about how he was salty that he didn't have all the characters he wanted in my group chat and being salty about all the characters I have and how many characters I built in the game then he said that he can't wait till Tower of fantasy comes out because it's going to blow Genshin impact out the water. 3 years later and Genshin and honkai blow TOF out the water lol 🤣.
