- Installing the BMW Torque Tune map to fix flat spot on my BMW s1000RR motorcycle. This tune is from BMW directly and improves speed and torque in 2nd-5th gear. BMW dealerships will install the tune and are willing to remove within 90 days for free if you are not satisfied. Why not install it? Because you lose top end horsepower and speed.

I don't understand. Why would you need more torque at low rpm and be willing to sacrifice power at high rpm for that. What are you doing at low rpm anyway, trying to do save gas?
Maybe he just likes the torque feeling. And he prob doesn’t even reach top speed very often

The issues that got you to remove yourself from the interstate were? what did they have to address?
Hey bro. Long story- Two failed ignition coils caused the bike to enter limp mode on the freeway. This is because the previous shop broke the connector on coil #1. We believe it caused an additional short in #2 coil failure. Upon inspection identified the previous shop did not install a servo motor with Akra exhaust so it was not getting proper air/fuel sensing. Some sensor resets and recall work was also performed.
$1500 later she got 4 new ignition coils, 4 spark plugs, new clutch cover bolts and a new torque tune. Plus they said the warranty has NOT been voided on the bike which is good news. Ride safe bro 🫡👍
