Crohn's disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel condition, presents complex challenges for both patients and healthcare providers. Today I wanted to outline a case study that shows an approach that successfully managed Crohn's symptoms and improved the patient's quality of life. This video discusses key insights from the case study, highlighting the importance of tailored treatments, dietary modifications, and innovative interventions.
The patient, a seventy-year-old with iron-deficiency anemia, underwent extensive testing to determine the cause. Eventually an MRI revealed a seven centimetre segment of damage in the small bowel, leading to a Crohn's disease diagnosis.
Conventional treatments were very poorly tolerated and steroids and other medications caused unmanageable side effects. This prompted a shift towards a holistic approach. The treatment plan included curcumin extract, boswellia, fish oil, and butyrate supplements.

Really interesting case study - thanks for taking the time to put this together! Even though I don't suffer from Cron's (as fas as I know!), it's fascinating to see all the steps required to resolve some of these issues. This really reinforces the idea that trying a supplement or two in the hope of getting resolution really isn't the way to go.

Thanks for sharing! One thing with my gut- the soothing herbs help bring down inflammation (especially when I have yeast overgrowth), but it comes back if I don't kill things back. Right now doing biocidin again- and made a much bigger difference than the soothing herbals.
Do you find/ realize that most GI issues might start after antibiotics/ yeast overgrowth/ some initial overgrowth, and ever figure out a good way to treat them to "back to healthy microbiome" levels?

I am awaiting my test results. Can I book an online consult with you once I have received my results? (I am in Sweden) The tests I have taken are organic acid test, comprehensive stool test, and SIBO breath test. Thank you

Thanks Todd! Do you find PHGG okay for people with diarrhoea? I read that PHGG is better for constipation

Would you say these supplements could be used for someone that has SIBO as well as gut inflammation or should certain ones be avoided?

Each case would be a bit different. It depends on the patients needs
