Hello my Beautiful People! Welcome back! The other day I did a pour honoring the Goddess of the Sea, Amphitrite. I really enjoyed the color palette and using the Makita Mini Leafblower to do a Chaos BlowOut. I have some of that paint left, so tonight I am using it to create another piece on a 20 inch wood cutout Moon and Stars.
I got the Moon and Stars from www.24HourCrafts.com
I am using Paint Levelers from Tracie Reed. You can find them at www.AcrylicPouringTools.com or on her Etsy shop.

I love the way the Moon and Stars came out! Its beautiful and ethereal and is very relaxing to look at. I will resin the moon and stars when they have cured.

I love those colours! Way back in the day when I "Tole " painted I used an acrylic varnish to seal the wood before painting.

So pretty! I love it. Mina, about what you said that wood "drinks" a lot of paint so it needs a base coat, do you know if it applies to mdf boards also? It's unfinished wood, very thin.
Yes I would paint a base layer on mdf as well 🌷

Hey there sweet girl. This is a beauty!! As always. Mina I've run out of Flotroel but I do have a gallon of owatrol. Do you mix your pouring medium the same. 4 parts owatrol to 1 part of the Golden's heavy gel gloss? Thank you so so much for your inspiration. And for your clear instructions.
Yes Ronda, the Owatrol should be fine. I would recommend adding some water to it after you've mixed everything, it does tend to get thick. Good luck and have fun!!
