Those little mushrooms are cute cute cute! The colors are so pretty. Super fun 'glow in the dark 'piggies after dark' new colors with fun names. Thanks Mina for showing us how much fun resin is and the little molds. That's 3 funs!! 🤣🥳💙💚💜🍄🍄🍄
Already that looks so beautiful, what a great addition to your lovely succulent garden (if that's even where you put it, cause it'd be cool anywhere, especially if they glow) Looking forward to seeing you make this one Mina!❤
I did pour painting for a couple years, you and a few others motivated me and gave me ideas to try. I've moved over to resin this last couple years and been having a lot of fun with it. I'm sure I will paint again as I have a lot of paints and now just use bits here and there for pigments. I also have at least 100 smaller canvases I plan on using someday. But the reason for my rare typing... In the last couple years of watching pretty much everyone I can find that does resin (along with a few painters I still and will probably always follow, yourself included), I never heard not to fill the molds to the very top... I have thrown away several molds due to either overheating, or possibly overfilling. I don't spend tons on molds from great makers (yet) but they are still pretty spendy. Anyway thank you for teaching me yet another thing... If I didn't have to work endlessly I would try to make it to one of your classes... Keep doing them, maybe when I retire in a few years. Thank you as always, hello to H.O.A. and the kid(s), have a great summer and enjoy Ireland!
Greetings, O Flatulent One!! It's good to hear from you! Thank you for your continued support, I'm so glad I could give you a little tip like that. I, too, have destroyed molds (sigh) . If you leave yourself a little bit to get hold of, removing them is much easier on the mold. Thanks again for stinking with me..err STICKING with me! I hope we meet one day! ✨️
We used quite a bit of black light reactive paints in one of the houses of our haunted house. We used it on the outside of our Victorian manor and inside and outside of our spaceship themed one.
Hello doll I can’t fine the glow in the dark pigments any where your mushrooms are adorable thank you and have a great day. I went to Fluid art company and I couldn’t find them anywhere.
How did you prepare the TLP before adding to the resin? I’ve expanded into resin about 5 months ago and was very excited to see you working with resin. I have used TLP in resin by following your tipsy method by dissolving it in alcohol then adding resin. Curious to know how you did it. I’m in love with the blending concept
Hi Janice! To use the pigments with resin I just add them directly to the resin. No alcohol or any other mediums are needed. The Tipsy Piggy Recipe is for using the piggies with pouring medium in an acrylic pour, that's when the alcohol dissolves them and then you add it to the pouring medium. I'm really curious if you had any weird effects from adding the alcohol mixture to the resin .. did they dry and cure well?
Hi Mina, I’ve had no problems with curing or the alcohol drying. Most people use alcohol to get rid of bubbles. And sometimes users complain that the pigments are still clumpy. I use a tiny amount of alcohol to liquidate the pigment, which pretty helps solve some bubbles and no reactions are all. I use Let’s Resin craft mostly for my resin. The thicker faster curing resin may not work. I haven’t tried. I haven’t poured much the past two months due to work, but trying to experiment and expand my process
