Native here - we used to get 48 inches of snow in 50's and 60's- now with global warming almost never . except for that freak year a few years ago. Also snow melts fast. I was an avid cross country skier and there is rarely enough snow to do it in the last thirty years - unless you go to north.
Thanks, Charles Stuart, for your comment. The weather changes everywhere and I have a feeling people will be moving from the West Coast to East Coast to cooler temperatures as the summers there become unbearable.

There were settlements in Boston by the 1630s!!! Its real name is Tax-achusetts... It 's no fault insurance means you pay anyway... I come from Cape Cod btw, which means I'm saner than the Bostonnuts and fruits... Massachusetts gets severe Northeasters, hurricane force winds surf every year...The snow comes down horizontally sometimes... &&&&& occasionally a HERicane will come calling...
LOL, thank you for that comment, Teddy! Cold is a relative thing, isn’t it? Of course, it also depends what was the temp when you were visiting. Some winters are very mild, but once in a while we get really cold, bone chilling temperatures.
The pro plenty of jobs, the con very very very expensive housing minimum wages should be at least $25 ,one room in Boston, $1100 wtf.insane.not talking about the cold weather and rude ppl.
Information on greater Boston by and large have been very well explained. But road conditions are not bad as one might get an impression after watching the video.
Thank you for the review you are a very beautiful and classy lady. Much appreciated. I am considering moving to the Plymouth/Duxbury area in the near future and I am a lifelong west coast guy - kind of scary
You are right, Mason Parker, I got similar comments from others. Since my channel is geared toward people who will be relocating to MA because of jobs, they will mostly be living close to Boston. But I hear you loud and clear. I will make a video in the future, probably, to include the Western Ma, Cape and the islands for a complete overview of MA.
@@BostonAreaHomes I look forward to seeing it. According to my good friend Bill who lives in Holyoke and goes to Boston sometimes, the road rage is very real on that stretch of I 90.
You still get a taste of spring is what she’s saying. I’ve lived in LA my whole life and we have the same weather all 12 months so I get what she’s trying to say
Dee See, Spring is a mix of rain, sun, gorgeous Spring weather and sometimes snow. That is our Spring. It might have not come out the right way in the video
Great, I am glad to hear this video was helpful. Watch my other videos as well, about different towns and Boston Neighborhoods, will be a good prep for you, Evelyn Zednanreh
Thinking of possibly moving from Los Angeles to Boston (or its surrounding areas) in the next two years! Loved this video and your channel overall. Thank you!
Yes, many people commented about that. 80% of the population of MA lives in the Boston area, but I hear you. Correcting that oversight in my next MA video
You forgot traffic as a con. The traffic is terrible in eastern Massachusetts. This state is not worth the price that it is. The beach parking is at least $20. Boston is hard to get into and drive in, the T is old and dangerous to take. This state is overrated 🙄
@Jedi Lowrie the traffic is bad during rush hour, yes. It is a very old state. The reason MA is hot is because of the job opportunities, the education level, the academic excellence, the location being closer to Europe. That is what is attracting people to move here. I agree it is very expensive but depending on what you are doing, if you are in biotech or medicine or technology, it is a great place to be, especially if you have school age children.
@@saxenas, I am a professional musician, graduated from the New England Conservatory in Boston and lived there for almost a decade. I’m very familiar with Boston’s music scene and I love Boston Symphony. I’m also a good friend of Noune who herself is a highly trained, in fact fantastic, opera singer. My question to her was meant as tongue’n cheek, which I thought I had made obvious with the three winking smilies. Boston’s symphonic orchestras, especially Boston Symphony, the Boston Pops and BMOP are so world renowned and such major attractions for cultural tourists that they would deserve at least a passing mention from a professional musician like Noune.
@@johnsarkissian5519 true, I try to include cultural things in my videos, for example, in my Seaport video I mention Boston Lyric opera's production and Institute of Contemporary art. But didn't mention orchestras in this one.
@@BostonAreaHomes Better than most or all of them just not factually correct! I was a “townie” in Boston and surrounding area for my whole childhood. I totally agree with you on the quality of education at MIT.

Thank you so much for providing the valuable information 🌹🤗
I like how one of the pros was that you can leave and go to cooler places that are nearby LOL
Caitolent, we love MA, even though there will always be cooler places
Great video as a native of Boston and the last 60 something years. I would not trade Boston for any other place in the US!
I am with you on this

an expert to trade with, giving you the required mentorship for a successful profit outcome... piss of advice

Great video!! Boston was founded in 1630, btw :-) And we get hurricanes and nor’easters!!
Yes, we do get snow storms, for sure! Hurricanes? Don’t remember a major hurricane in the last 30 years, Geoffrey. Thanks for the comment!
@@BostonAreaHomes Yup. Last hurricane was Bob in 1991 - 30 years ago. We did get a tornado watch in the Worcester area yesterday.

An ok video. Should be called pros and cons of Boston vicinity. I lived in Deerfield for 13 years and it’s much warmer there and no road rage at all.

So this is more about Boston not really Massachusetts as a Commonwealth
Yes, many viewers said the same. I will make one including Western Ma, Cape Cod and all the other parts
You say Massachusetts but all I hear is Boston
Yes, Darrell, my next video about Ma will include everything from west ma to cape cod and beyond. promise!
House price is not right....falling apart...still high price. Smart people live in there. They must fix the road.
