Like [Timothy] Leary’s friend Richard Alpert [Ram Dass] went to India and saw all the gurus, chasing all over the place, and all the gurus said to him was, ‘Remember - be here now’. That’s all them gurus will ever tell you. ‘Remember - be here now’. Remember this moment now.
I was talking to George the other day and I forgot to say to him, ‘What are you searching for? You are here!’
We’re all God. Christ said the kingdom of heaven is within you. And that’s what it means. And the Indians say that and the Zen people say that. It’s a basic thing of religion. We’re all God. I’m not a god or the god, but we are all God and we are all potentially divine and potentially evil. We all have everything within us and the Kingdom of Heaven is nigh and within us, you know. And if you look hard enough, you see it.
I believe in life after death, without any doubt. In meditation, on drugs, on diets, I’ve been aware of soul and been aware of the power. God is a power which we’re all capable of tapping. We’re all lightbulbs that can tap the electricity.

ABOUT THE ELEMENTS MIXES
The Elements Mixes reduce the songs to the minimum amount of instruments possible. At most, only three instruments are heard at any time. With the focus taken away from John’s vocal, the delicacy and nuance of these performances is allowed to shine through.
Instrumental selections were made on a song-by-song basis - which instruments and performances should be highlighted and what other instruments would they work well together with to maintain an engaging listening experience with such a sparse arrangement.
These buried elements have now been opened up and are presented on a wider and brighter sound stage - to reveal deeper levels of detail and clarity, especially in the 5.1 Surround Sound and Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio versions.
There were no set rules for any of the selections. It was just per song - what did we feel would be nice to isolate or show off, that might have escaped people’s initial listening experience.
Hopefully, after listening to these minimalist yet powerful Elements Mixes, when you return to listening to the Ultimate Mixes, you will begin to hear those details previously hidden in the album versions in a completely new way. - Zábava

It’s interesting seeing John’s comments on the concept of “You Are Here” considering the time frame of when the song was written and recorded you can almost tie it together as a response to George’s “Be Here Now” from Living in the Material World which explores the same concepts that Ram Dass talks about

I do hope we get remixes of Rock and Roll next year. Its so 70's and mixes so flat and fuzzy. The tracks mixed by Lennon had his voice too low and the rest of the tracks could have done without Spector. 🙈
