- My jeep was almost broken into for a SECOND time and our neighbor said someone was looking into our house, yet our cameras never picked it up. So, I finally decided it was time to make the switch to 4k cameras.

Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even czcams.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.
I got rid of ring a couple of years ago for eufy. Totally happy I did it. No buffering circles when trying to view footage or deleted footage after 30 days.
Does it have the issue if you hold the sync button for 10 sec it erase everything from the base ?
you may want to store footage in the cloud if you're going to be away, eufy does have cloud subscription that's cheaper than Ring. I would imagine if the camera is solar powered it has batteries however, so motion detection and pre roll might not be as good since the camera is asleep to save battery and has to wake on detection before recording.
i love this cam except it doesnt prioritize my hdd. when i install the hdd, local storage disappear and my hdd just sitting there after format.
Does the notifications on your phone allow you to see a clip or do you have to go into the app to watch each notification?

You may want to check out the video posted today by @The Den of Tools regarding Eufy's cameras uploading your footage from the base station without your knowledge over unencrypted endpoints. Furthermore, anyone can steal your camera and when that happens (or someone presses the reset button on the Eufy camera mounted outdoors) ALL of the footage from that camera gets deleted from the base station. Seems like a major security flaw (Eufy hasn't officially commented on this yet, although Linus Tech Tips also posted a video regarding this). Thoughts?
I'm confuse how your ring didn't detect them but you think eufy will make a difference? Why not just invest in a 24/7 POE system then you won't miss anything that happens.

how long is the footage once a motion is detected? my Zmodo cameras only 9 seconds, i am changing to the Eufy cams one black friday arrives {hopefully)
It can record for upto 120s with a minimum of 5s intervals
I have a ring doorbell not subscribed to anyone yet but I want to upgrade to a full home security system. Thank you for this information
If going for full home security system I would stick with ring, the alarm on eufy homebase is poor, can't hear it past the room it is in, you can set the cameras to sound at the same time but for some reason the camera stops sounding after 30s. Ring may come with subscription but also comes with backup power, cellular backup, homebase is louder, keypad makes alarm sound, echos can be linked to use as sirens, can also be linked to cameras for siren and ring also sells an outdoor siren. For £80 a year it is not a bad deal.
Unfortunately I cannot use the anti theft on these. It's way too sensitive. Everytime someone walked up on deck steps or on a windy day these constantly go off. There should be a sensitivity setting. Also, the mounts on these heavy cameras are way too light and cheap to support their weight. At least in my experience so far.
Can you Arm/Disarm cameras via Alexa or Google?
I tried this system for a month and returned it. While they might be better than Ring they aren't no better than Arlo Ultra.once I find what might be the best POE system I'll have that.

You better check if you camera reset your can’t see your video. some of eufy camera are that way just like you know

Question does it melt the snow that sticks to the solar panel. I have solar powered lights outside that are absolutely useless unless I manually scrape the snow off so they can charge. I’ve heard that some solar panel items have a heater you can activate to melt snow
You can move to Florida and never have that problem LOL I love it here my aootek solar lights from Amazon stay on all night.

Eufy has a major flaw. If someone presses the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds all your recordings are removed from the storage hub as well. Lastly, title is misleading.
Yeah because someone is going to come to your house with a ladder access your camera and look for reset button all while being recorded. Not that much of a flaw but it is something that needs addressed
LoL you saw one review and ran with that lil bit of info.. you do know every camera Ring makes the sync button is in the exact same place on every model right on top.. I have 2 Eufy OutDoor Cams the sync button is pretty much locked under an extremely tight weather seal and the actual sync button is so small you need a pen to push it.. now i also have a Eufy L40 SpotLight Cam and yes the sync button is exposed but whos really walking around with a ladder pressing sync buttons?!
I am using the Eufy cam 2pro but the motion sensor is too limited to 2-3feet from the camera.
@@larryferd1510 not everyone mounts there cameras that high. I think ring recommends 7-9 feet buy I'm no expert.

Hey Lee. Lot's of people complain about Eufy's doorbells because the app has ads plastered all over it? Did you find this was the case?
I have battery 2k doorbell. Never seen an ad in the app once.
The wired doorbells don’t work with the new Homebase 3. Keep that in mind also
I have not had this issue with the app. Maybe that is an older version of the app, and enough people complained about it
What hard drive did you buy?
Be aware that in fog with IR on, these cams are not good for that, but otherwise it's a good product..
You picked Ring knowing they have a subscription fee and in hindsight it’s not a bad thing as cameras are supported for a long time unlike the ones you buy. You never know when they eol it. A reason to change would something be like recording quality or true continuous recording which eufy doesn’t offer. Perhaps the wired models have that
Yup, the wired models offer continuous recording. I love the ability to store my videos on the HomeBase 3 and Micro SD if the connection is lost. I have plans to install a total of 8 Eufy cameras. This is more of a deterrent tactic then anything else. I have nothing of value to rob, but who wants to go through the hassle of being burglarized?
If buying a 8MP Camera, make sure the physical size of the sensor is at least - 1/1.2" = .833" . the Eufy cameras are not achieving that sensor size so your night vision is useless.

They also got caught sending face recognition files of the owners back to their data base. I wouldn’t get this camera
switching from Arlo to Eufy much better camera and servicer..and free...What's not to love.
I wish they integrated with HomeKit.
I wish they’d make the app less glitchy.
I wish they’d improve the audio quality, (two-way is awful, the mic is too, and the alarm isn’t loud enough).
I wish all of you CZcamsrs would be more forthcoming about the Homebase 3 and how it’s not even currently working with a majority of Eufy products (until April 2023 or later in some cases!) And as of this writing, Homebase 3 isn’t compatible with ANY Eufy wired doorbell.
I wish they fixed the ability for any thief to simply hold down the reset button and steal it. Once they do, all your footage is gone. Especially if they re-activate it after reset.
I wish Eufy would make a more comprehensive alarm system. Their touchpad, etc. are very basic compared to these new cameras and smart locks that they’re releasing.
What prevents me from using eufy camera is their lack of support for desktop app. Mobile app is fine on the go but I need to be able to view live and recorded videos on my Mac with large screen, not on a tiny mobile screen. I really hope eufy will address this problem.
If you have a M2 MacBook I believe the app is compatible. Otherwise you can use the URL website version but may need cloud subscription to view events
Also if you have sync your cameras with HomeKit this will be a bonus

My understanding is that their Mac app is used for downloading recorded videos, not for live viewing or viewing recorded videos. Also, I am. not interested in storing my videos in cloud or pay for subscription. I am currently recording to micro sd and I can do live view or playback from Mac or iPhone anywhere.
Paid promo. I have eufy and it is all hype. If they delivered what they advertise they would be an amazing company. Also their military grade encryption is BS, they recently admitted to obtaining videos and pictures from costumers and using without consent.
especially uploading all your thumbnail to China government cloud servers even without cloud subscriptions. All china brand as well.

Yep. They are. If someone farts in Bangladesh (I’m in Atlanta, lol) an event would be triggered-no matter how much I tinkered with the motion settings in the app. Literally 30-40 useless notifications daily in a low traffic area.
I really like my Eufy s330’s so far.
It's only 27 cents a day..... come on I can find that in the parking lot every time I get out of my car. And one more thing you better do some research about this Chinese company now I know all the cameras got some kind of security issue nothing is safe my main point here it's only 27 cents a day it's peanuts.
