Great video. I’ve had an older Arlo Pro 2 system with a monthly subscription for nearly 7 years and, in general, I’ve been satisfied with it. I’ve had to replace the base station once and had to replace one camera (out of six) during that period. There’s a sale today on the system reviewed in this video and I think it might be time to upgrade. 😊

I current have an old Arlo system used to monitor my mother remotely as she is 93 years old and has moderate dementia. I find the older cameras and base station have a significant delay while live viewing. Before spending $1000+ to upgrade to Ultra 2, I need to know if the real time is indeed real-time without significant delay. I have one Simply safe camera which has near zero delay which is what we need. Using local storage would be helpful to ensure internet lag does not delay storing the clip or loss of content. However, remote access to the live stream and stored clips is a must! Do you have any testing results for live streaming the Ultra 2 cameras?

Hi there, I appreciate your kind words about the video. Regarding your question about the EUFY Cam, unfortunately, once the battery of the Eufycam 3 dies, it won't be able to be replaced. Unlike some other brands, such as Arlo, where you have the flexibility to change or upgrade the battery, Eufycam 3 requires getting a new set of cameras if the battery is no longer functional. It's a limitation worth considering when choosing a security camera system. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!

Because you mentioned that the battery can be changed for the Arlo camera but not for the Eufy camera

I've been a proud & paying supporter of Arlo for years from their Arlo Pro 2 cameras all the way up to their Arlo Ultra series 4k cameras. The Arlo's work great but with my Arlo cameras I've had them break down over time unfortunately so I switched over to Eufy. Now I'm enjoying the solar charging cameras & all the features w/ no monthly fee. I attempted to give Arlo the opportunity to retain me as a customer by providing some insight as to how to fix the camera but they were of no assistance since I was out of the warranty period.

The Arlo Ultra cams have a bigger FOV as well so that's a great feature & the activity zones work better on the Arlo cameras. Eufy is free 99 on a monthly basis and you don't have to charge them once they are installed if they have adequate sunlight so that's an amazing feature.

I currently have Arlo and im completely sick of the $12/mo service fee and constantly recharging batteries. My driveway cameras drain ridiculously fast and I'm done with constantly charging them. I'm seriously considering switching to the Eufy for the solar charging feature.

Don't waste your money with the power kits. I've gone through every single Arlo product there has been for the last 6 years. Worst product ever. I've integrated my house and my cottage with this system stay away. Anything is better than this. They are finicky. You can literally stand in front of the camera sometimes and it will not even know you're there

I installed a eufy cam kit with 6 cam to my friend house 3 years ago and he is soo happy he never had a problem he just add 2 solar panels on the highest one . I was sceptical about it because I was a professional video surveillance installer with hikvision dahua obviously it can’t be compared… but if someone want to avoid wiring process and very difficult set up that require a professional person… this is the easiest solution and quicker.
If you can afford to spend more money and you want something more reliable in the long period of the time you can go with dahua or hikvision and you are at the top and peace of mind…. But the eufy they doing a very great job for the money that you spend.

Eufy does have a siren on the camera. Its needs about 3 hours of sun light per day to stay charged. It also has cloud storage subscription. It can identify people also and stich together the separate videos of a person walking across multiple cameras. Some of the items you didn't mention.

When I buy a expensive battery powered device, I want it to last 5 plus years at least, if it goes out within or year and then batteries are obsolete and have to buy new system, not ideal or worth it. Eufy pushes homekit, but if someone breaks in and steals homekit and camera, then you have no footage, cloud services can be expensive just depends on your situation or crime rate in your area.

It looks like you can add storage to the individual cameras as well. If you're worried about the base station being disabled you could just store all the footage on your cameras as a redundancy.

Perfetto. Allora mi sono deciso a CHIAMARLI. . . . . impossibile. . . . . . E quando possibile in forma scritta NESSUNO parlava ITALIANO!!!! Io non saprei cosa onestamente altro scrivere. REGALO TELECAMERE ARLO per inutilizzo
