Lucky to have hung around Alec as kid as dad did business with him. He'd invite dad and I around end of year to his place to meet some of the players. Great memories and glad to see he's still chugging along
Number 28 great drop kick from the half back flank. Number 10 Bluey Shelton and Number 32 Barry Davis on the other flank also a great drop kick. What a half back line.
My dad used to tell me about those Sunday games when local businesses would run footy social games and the top league blokes would turn up to play because they got so much money for playing and the bookies would be there. He said it was amazing. Great to see someone from the old days talking about it. I put together a side of the toughest blokes of all-time at work one day and asked fanatics who the toughest blokes from each team were. My Essendon mate said Epis was the toughest Bomber he'd seen
I've honestly never heard of this man and yet this is my favourite Open Mike ever. What a legend with such great stories.
He’s an absolute classic.. what a character.
This is and Paul Couch are my favorite episodes of Open Mike. Players from the country are always a good laugh and great story tellers.
A living legend!
Speaking as an aging Pies fan, as a teenager I had an extreme dislike for this man ... but that was many years ago. A great player and a lovely man.
Great interview with Alec. Hadn't heard of him before, but he has some great stories. Thanks for sharing the videos.
