This video just made me realize the sound effect @12:18 for the descending bowl in Casino Paradise is the same one used for the Lotto machine and Martini Glass-shaped cones in Studiopolis in Sonic Mania.
If you ever get some time and feel like doing this again, you should do it with Tails tagging along using the cheat code. When this game first came out years ago, I was super bummed out that Tails no longer followed Sonic around. I was so happy to discover that code. In case you don't know it: Press up on Sonic, Down on Tails, L button on Knuckles and R button on Amy Rose. Then press A on Sonic. You'll get a ring sound if you did it correctly.

@Sebas7710 continuing off of what you said, it, in particular, allows for frame-by-frame manipulation of the controller input. Basically it allows for perfect speedruns and is great for testing new strats in games.

@Sebas7710 continuing off of what you said, it, in particular, allows for frame-by-frame manipulation of the controller input. Basically it allows for perfect speedruns and is great for testing new strats in games.

This Game was released in Japan in 2001 & North America, Europe, and Australia in 2002. I think this makes Sonic Advance an 2001 & an 2002 game.

@@PerfectlyDarkTails Nah the sonic and tails mode isn't required, just get all 7 chaos emeralds and then beat X zone as sonic.
You gotta beat the game with the 4 characters and get the chaos emeralds on all the runs.
@@hayato8452 Emeralds are shared between the characters in Sonic Advance 1 so you don't necessarily have to get them all with every characters.
Just a thought:
Wouldn´t it technically save time to grab the bare minimum of rings in the bonus stages and make the score count go faster? Probably only a few frames to save, but still.

I’m a bit taken aback with how a guy beat a game that took me months to complete as a child in less than 35 minutes 😭
It's a bot, this is probably the fastest way this sonic game can be beaten. These bots dont waste a single frame.
Being bad at games as a kid made you able to enjoy them for longer though
