  • In this video we go over the pros and cons of the affordable ‪@CharlesDaly‬ 601 12 gauge shot gun.
    I would like to add that some of the cons can happen with any shotgun if it is not maintained or handled with care.
    Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the information...I have the same gun with the loose stock. Glad you explained how to tighten it since the recoil pad is not tapped with screws. I plan to use it in Nags Head to duck hunt in January 2024

    Looking at getting a couple of these before next dove season. They look pretty good for the price.

    Good honest review. Please call it what it is, a tool not a weapon. 👍

    @4:06 Well of course it was loose because of a loose stock bolt. What other reason would cause your stock to loosen? I've heard other reviews on this issue and even some people sending the gun back to Charles Daley because of this. It's a five minute fix.

      The Beretta/Benelli chokes work with this gun.
      Here is the exact one in this video

    does anyone have any experience drilling and tapping this receiver for a rail? seen it done with other model shotguns and wondering if anyone's done it on this?

      They sell one with a rail already on it. If you already have the one without the rail then it would be just the same as any other gun

      Sorry, I'm not too familiar with that. But if I get my hands on it, I will gladly do a review!

    I bought the same gun in Nov 2022. Rusted down the barrel on the ventilated rib just like this one. Jammed on every shot (failed to eject), even after breaking it in with two boxes of lead shot. Machining tolerances are garbage, the chokes are not flush with end of the barrel and threading is not good. It is 2023, these guns should not jam on any 2 3/4" or 3" load! If I had to buy only one shotgun, I would get an 870 all day over this POS. Quality does not even compare to my Stoeger M3000 (which I have had for 8 years, never jammed once). Just sent mine back to Chiappa (Charles Daly). Customer service has been good so far, they said around 4 week turnaround. I hope they make it right! $300 does not get you much here.

      Idk if your just ruff on guns but the new 2023 model I’ve put 1500 rounds through it maybe 5 failure to feed but I chalked it down to the the cheap shells I have sat in the blind with benneli that go click winchesters that won’t cycle you name it my gun goes boom every time.

    • @kurtmead2066
      @kurtmead2066 Před 8 měsíci

      @jakewilmot9980 no I am not "ruff" on guns. I cleaned it after two boxes, cleaned it two more times after that. Didn't damage any parts. I read several other reviews online with the same problem, if I got a lemon, so did a lot of other people!

    • @kurtmead2066
      @kurtmead2066 Před 8 měsíci

      @jakewilmot9980 my Stoeger M3000 has never went click, jammed, failed to feed, failed to eject, on anything from lead shot to buck shot, cheap Rio's, Xperts', to high dollar loads.

    • @jakewilmot9980
      @jakewilmot9980 Před 8 měsíci

      @@kurtmead2066 well if you only cleaned your gun 4 times have you asked yourself why the thing doesn’t shoot I chalk it down to laziness an lack of knowledge you got a lemon period I’ll tell you right now that m3000 isn’t all that cracked up to be have fun pulling your 8 pound trigger plain and bolt shearing common problem for the m3000 simple you are clearly hard on guns and don’t know how to maintain them. FYI m3000 can be lemons as well.
