    jisaku-koubou....
    I have created a vacuum clamping system that can clamp materials quickly.
    It utilizes a device that evacuates using compressed air.
    The device that creates the vacuum costs only $ 15.
    The vacuum area is 13.9 cm x 13.9 cm
    The ultimate vacuum of the vacuum equipment used is -92kPa.
    Theoretically, it is possible to chuck with a force of 179 kgf.
    It can be adjusted to an angle that is easy to use, and the clamp does not get in the way, so work progresses.
    Since it uses a rubber sealing, no clamp marks are left on the wood.

However, we never see you break down a full sheet of plywood into the manageable sized pieces you use in your videos. Your DIY panel saw seems too small. Do you have an ingenious jig for cutting up a full sized sheet? If so, I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to see it.

    For people in the USA looking to source parts:
    Amazon sells the "Vacuforce VML1008 Inline Vacuum Venturi" for about $28. It claims to pull 27mmHG (approximately the same as the $65 vacuum pump in the "customers also viewed these products" row).
    Then you can pick up 10 feet of 5/16" Buna-N cord stock for around $17. This will give 1/16" clearance above 1/4" plywood squares. (Use super glue to attach the ends to each other)
    You would also need to pick up tubing and the fittings to attach it to the air compressor. Maybe when all is said and done, that $65 vacuum pump isn't so expensive after all.

    • @DaddyGoFast
      @DaddyGoFast Před 2 lety

    I have watched this video three times and I still don't understand how this works. How does the vacuum line create suction on the rubber hose if the only outlet is the drilled hole?

    • @Garryck-1
      @Garryck-1 Před 2 lety +2

      It doesn't "create suction on the rubber hose". The rubber tubing is only there to create an air-tight seal between the workpiece and the bed of the vacuum unit. Then, the vacuum line sucks out the air that's inside the sealed area. At which point, atmospheric pressure of 15 PSI pressing on the workpiece holds it firmly in place. If the full area of the vacuum bed (roughly 150mm x 150mm or 6" x 6") is in use, that would be a force of approximately 245 kg (540 lbs) holding the workpiece in place. The force holding it if just 3 squares were in use would be approximately 80kg (175 lbs).

    While vacuumed and working you hear a compress noise sound ?
    Quit a loud sound ; are you using ear protection ?

      I think this employs the use of the venturi effect by using a simple air compressor. The vacuum is created by the attachment thst connects the hoses downstream of the valb3. Notice the small slots in the side of the cylindrical piece. By direct the high volume of air out those vents it creates a vacuum effect on the opposing side where the wood is. I am only hypothesizing on this so i could be wromg

    the idea and execution are excellent. 👍
    let me offer some advice ...
    in all protruding frames make a groove 2 ... 3mm deep this will allow the vacuum to spread more easily.

    • @Adscam
      @Adscam Před 3 lety

      The clamping force is dependent on the net area. There are sufficient deep grooves for vacuum. Let me give you advice that making additional small shallow grooves are not necessary in this case. Cheers
