  • Manfrotto Tripod Fluid Head 502 Removal Disassemble & Grease Replacement Tutorial
    Directions:
Make sure you use a thick grease (The one used is great)
The same grease can be used on all parts.
The disc was a bit hard to remove (a lens tool can be used).
The 3 plastic triangle pieces must be clean without grease.
Cleaning can be made with Isopropyl IPA Alcohol & Lighter Fluid.
Any questions? Leave them in the comment section and i will try to answer if helps.

Glad if was helpful. Search a thick one. Is called high vacuum grease. Don;t try to use something like normal grease it will be bad. This one is very nice. I think you can order it from eBAy in tyor location from UK.

I'm happy that it was helpful. I have just this head. I'm sure you will find something for 504hd and the important part is to clean it and to put the right grease. Thanks for reaching.

Any tips for removing the part at 1:50 ?
It's really stuck in there and i can't wind it out. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Try to tap it all around, secure the base in a vice, put something around like some wood or leather to not scratch the base, heat the part with a hair dryer until is kinda hot to the touch, and use something that gives you grip to turn this counterclockwise. As well you can also try to put this part into the vice and turn the hole thing...but pay attention to the direction of the unwind.

Don't forget to take out the center screw in the first place.

Half of the video is unsharp / out of focus. Maybe spent some time on that before doing such videos. As an example:

I'm using a low F2 Macro Lens with a lot of focus depth. It is in focus but with a lot of depth of field and not always in the center. This is a cinema camera and lens. The Papa's video is made with a phone pretty sure. Yeah, it could be more helpful to be more in focus but here is the cinematic version. You can enjoy or watch Papa's video. Is free. Thanks for reaching out with your comment.
