It was pretty weird but I also love that without words, they both new what to do and could both do it because they’re supposed to be evenly matched (even though Barry afterwards showed us he’s faster then Thawne)

Atleast we would know that the season would be better than the last 2 seasons. (Ever since Barry stopped his little commentary the Flash has gotten a lot worse) so I’d prefer if this actually happened xD

This season embarrassed me. Like, not just that I felt it was bad, but I felt embarrassed that I watched this, as though I was watching Barney the Dinosaur expecting it to be like Jurassic Park.
This season gave me the reverse I felt from the others seasons than this one I felt so negative on every episode past ep9 and it never got to a great stance that I will say I loved it

My parents recently started watching Flash and I haven't seen any of it, but my dad still calls me every night asking me questions about it. Now they're on season 7 so when my dad inevitably calls me asking what these constructs are, I can finally answer him.

Honestly, just tell em that this was Eric Wallace's cheapest and easiest way to end the season, for speedsters tryna be the fastest they sure don't do run much in the fight, how cool would it be to see a tag team race with barry, thrawn vs godspeed then after godspeed is defeated thrawn betrays flash and we have another race and this one ends with flash being faster and we actually get to see it rather than being told "I got faster" why not show how fast barry has gotten with a race of all time..ehh, the finale seems to have been written by children who are still trying to understand comics
@@gwenstacy923 I gave up on the flash a long time ago. I'd like to think I'm easy to please for fight scenes but I guess I'm spoiled. I think any plot that hinges on the super hero forgetting that they have super powers for any length if time is a pretty bad plot. This is almost every episode of the flash so I just get frustrated and stop watching.

I think at this point if everyone just accepts that this is a "Flash family team up show" and less of a show about a singular hero going through trials and tribulations to grow stronger, you'll enjoy it more. which, tbh, the show has pretty much been since around S3 when Wally and Jesse were introduced as speedsters and they framed it like Wally would defeat Savitar (even though he never did). it's way easier to do that now as well, considering the whole "My name is Barry Allen" thing isn't even the intro for the show anymore, and instead just a montage of all the characters and snippets from moments in the show's history.
Nah the show is called Flash. They should’ve called it Iris and Friends if they were gonna give so much roles to side characters and the cringiest thing of all this season is the forces being their kids, my skin crawls just typing it

Speed Force conduits can use the matter generated by their speed to create solid objects such as walls or bridges. This power requires constant concentration and reapplication of the construct for it to remain stable. Flash's after images are also construct creations
I thought Thawne just explained in S1 that the after image effect was just because he moved so fast it looked like he was in 2 places at once

They are, but I think what Ethan meant was Speed Scouts, which are more like Clones made of Pure Speed Force Energy that can be absorbed by the Original User.
Either way, Speed Force Energy Constructs have been limited to just Forming suits in Comics because readers are reading the Flash for Speedster. If they wanted Energy Constructs, they would go to Green Lantern.
If I remember correctly, godspeed and both Wallys in the comics created their suits with speedforce constructs
it's cool but it'd have been better if flash and thawne didnt just randomly know how to do it. godspeed i understood, as he was so damn powerful at the time there was no telling what he could do.

Yeah I liked some of the things they did in season 7 but it really was all over the place and I just hope they're more direct with the storyline in season 8.
@@DarthKamui yeah this season was a mess after the first 6 eps of the season it just became so messy and the closest thing I had fun with was with Cisco’s goodbye ep great ep one of my favs and the Godspeed arc which was good but had so much storylines that I don’t give a fuck about
Speed force is a very powerfull being
Technically they can even make crazier constructs
So i had no problem with the constructs but they should have done it like barry learning new tricks and attacks like season 2
Barry wasn't even taught how to construct a Lightsaber using The Speed Foce.

I guess so but even from when he was fighting mirror monarch he was making speed force constructs like whips. Back in season 6 Wally made speedster constructs but they weren't used for combat so it wasn't an ass pull at the moment barry did it.

@@lilveggieplant2362 if I’m not mistaken, he said he would come back as Reverse Flash, but not as a different or any version of Wells. He’s trying to move on from that specific character- if I’m not mistaken.
He also directed the upcoming season finale of Superman and Lois, so that’s hopefully something dope.

I think I know why he’s gone. If you watch his video about who taught Barry to throw lightning, before the intro it says that his son was born. I think he left CZcams to focus on his kid.
Remember wen villians would break Barry's back or RUN HIM THROUGH CENTRAL CITY but for godspeed they said nah let's give him lightning swords nah let's wait until the end of the season for the villian to get whooped

it's not like...you know...godspeed only had four episodes this season and...you know...the villain always gets defeated in the season finale...
Yeah Godspeed was underwhelming. Say what you want about the worst flash villains but they all did something pretty crazy to Barry or the team. Devoe framed him and almost stole his body, Cicada broke his daughters back and almost killed him multiple times, and Savitar literally whooped Barry across the entire city. Godspeed just challenged them to a Jedi duel.😒

I loved Barry vs Zolomon after Zolomon killed Henry and Thawne vs Barry in the Allen House.
I have no idea what's going on anymore, i got fed up with Iris whining at season 3 and quit!
To summaries the Season:
Season 7 part 1 became Family Feud defeating the Speed Force with the power of Family.
They later on sidelined the Title Character/Main Protagonist for a Couple episodes to focus on Side Characters.
Finally they brought in Godspeed, The Most Stereotypically Bland SuperVillain with a Pinch of Savitar, and turned it into Power Rangers for Part 1, and Star Wars for Part 2.
Can't wait for People to justify how Godspeed was able to Superman-styled Flying out of locations using the Powers of Speed!!

I think the swords would've been fine if Barry and Thawn didn't casually make their own just to match Godspeed. Him having a weapon alone would justify his advantage that required a 2-on-1 fight.

When I clicked on this, I was worried you weren't going to be critical of the episode. Thankfully you were! I've been waiting for this power on the show for a while now, but having the speedsters use it for lassos and swords in ways that prevent them from running is not the way to go about it. High speed fight scenes on the move is how they're meant to fight. An example of this would be Barry Vs Thawne in crisis on earth X. If the show wanted them to use this power, they should have incorporated it into the classic speedster fights rather than have the fights be a demonstration of the power where everybody stood around not moving. This season was horrible. 2 large season plots, the forces and godspeed. The force plot was terribly handled and just made the show weird and awkward to watch with the whole Barry's mother is his new born daughter and stuff. And the godspeed arc was rushed. On top of that, every villain till the last episode was just redeemed by the almighty power of love.

I had already seen a video talking about season 7, and the mention of lighting swords had already made me laugh hard. When I actually got around to watching the season finale, seeing Barry and Thawne create their own "lightning sabers," that was the absolute hardest I had laughed in a *very* long time.
Keep up the good work love the videos
I honestly liked they lightning manipulation and that they were able to pull off different attacks from that. It made the speedster a lot more powerful.

Not gonna lie jay boomeranging his hat with lightning is pretty cool
To be honest we saw this in season 2 when zoom takes the bolt of lightning that Barry threw at him and turn it around to aim at Barry. Since then, Barry was a resident of speed force, got a new speed force, got Speedforce Nora as a "BATTERY" for speed boost and what not. So, why can't barry create a lightning bolt while standing still and mold it into a sword? Also, it was clearly shown in that scene that Barry was no where near in expertise compared to his kids and even Jay Garrik who have been at this for longer than him (assuming his kids were training as speedsters for more than 7 years).

So, I agree that the light(ning) saber duel was a bit odd but I also kind of like it. I appreciate that they tried to give a new angle to the fights besides running and punching really fast. Could have been done a bit better but definitely a cool scene.
