These two are in a league of their own. It has been my joy to follow them throughout the years and thank you CZcams for allowing us to see them over and over again!
Oh my Lord. Is it ever possible to watch them without tears in one's eyes? I hope they have as least much joy in the skating as they have given all of us. I think that must be true. Being near my end of days, I hope they find as much joy in daily life when they find they must put aside their skates. I wish them contentment, fond memory, and deep satisfaction.
Eh ... once again I'm mesmerized and astonished by the way these artists succeed in conveying to the odience the idea of 'missing' and the 'sentiment' of any program they perform, just through their movements, their interpretation, facial expressions, synchronicity. Definitely pure perfection and beauty! 🤗🤗🤗
I haven’t seen this before. I’ve never seen two skaters so I tune and in time with each other. Just superb. I’ve seen them live in Australia many years ago and it was a highlight.
So this is where Duchesnay & Duchesnay coreography came from... as Dean had been their coach. It's pure beauty, and how moving that they won their better award through the generous gift of this masterpiece ❤️
Love everything that Jayne and Chris have done but I prefer the Duchesneys' version. Theirs has the desperation of people trying to flee oppression and the ending is stunning, I just don't feel that with Jayne and Chris' version.
How does she make rolling her head so interesting to watch? Each time I watch it I see something new, like the flicks of their hands after they've extended their arms that flick in time with the music. Everything is so effortless and beautifully precise. I'm in love with this routine.
T and D never just skate!!! Not even to gain speed. Their 'Bolero', 'The shepherd's Song' and this.. 'The Missing'.. I have never seen anything like it. The technical level, the constant flow of beautifully choreographed rutines, so richly supported by the chosen pieces of music. Once again I am simply left with 'Thank you.. thank you... thank you!'
Of all Torvill and Dean pieces, I love this most. Every time I watch them perform this piece I see yet another meaning they . convey in the choreography. Absolutely brilliant. Genius. They are in a special, gifted world of their own that we are blessed to behold.
LOWE sonia, oh, yes, I was never a huge ballet fan, but I watched Nureyev and Fonteyn dance to Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" (the entire ballet) so many times when I was young: they were meant to dance together, as were Torvill and Dean in figure skating. So glad someone else out there was as moved as I was by Nureyev and Fonteyn dancing together!
Hypnosis under the influence of dance! Flawless riding is the perfect harmony of music and choreography! Fans in the captivity of the art of figure skaters!
Wow, first time I have seen this, what a powerful routine, and wonderful to see such moving beauty created out of such tragedy! I believe that famous people can motivate people to make things better for themselves and their countries simply by speaking out about their own feelings and things that they witness. Good for Torvill and Dean for making such beautiful art out of this conflict!
WOW! I had NO IDEA T&D had performed the Duchesnays FD from 1990 Worlds! (of course, I know Dean choreographed it). The music here is a little different.
So much more beautiful than the Duchesnays skate. I know Chris choreographed both routines, but this one is more meaningful and graceful. He and Jayne are so perfect together. Love watching this.
Todos los que an sido grandes, an dicho algo importante respecto a la opresion. Those who have been greats, have said somenthig important about agresion.
I still prefer the D&D version by far, maybe because of the slightly different outfits, maybe because of the different body lines, I don’t know, but as much as I love this one I still prefer the other one.
I only listened to one interview of the Duchesnay . Firstly their accent is terrible . But that was not as terrible as her personality , domineering disagreeable All about her 3 minutes Suffised.
Their musicality is so beautiful . Every movement has meaning and flows with the music perfectly. They are such a pleasure to watch
Very moving

The innovators of ice dance without torvil and dean ice dance would never be where if is today they will always be the best ever

I feel exactly the same way.
They move as one in artistry and innovation. The more I see the more I am in awe of these two artists. X
They were and are the very best of the very best!!!!!!

An exquisitely touching and moving routine always makes me well up.......
You can feel the emotions of the people they play -- the grief, the numbness, the worry, the hope followed by disappointment
They are amazing, I feel like I saw a theater scene

Thats what i wondered too!
Chris wasn't the Duchesnay's coach, that was Martin Scotnichi (sp?). Chris was their choreographer.
Perfect, same time with Torvill and Dean,my idols for ever
The song is Ecuadorian, love it
Do you know the name of this song?
@@LadyHaldir1 the name of the song is "Duelete de mis Dolencias"
Thank you
@@ruthadamik9446 I just asked this question and the answer was already here. 🙂
One I've never seen and I thought I saw them all. Thank you! Enjoyed so much. They are so innovative!
My favourite ever dance, gives me chills
This is...as well as other performances... completly BEAUTIFULLY UNREAL
Words are inadequate to describe ones feelings.
Love them and miss you❤❤❤
One of my many favorites❣
Awesome way to communicate to people feelings about our world n make us think..WOW!!
They are like the same person split in two and skating in perfect unison.
Fantastical
Foarte frumos,placut de vazut ,revazut,perfecta ,
This is what ice dancing should be.......
I was just going to comment the same thing. They look like they're floating across the ice.
Does anyone know what the music is? I am guessing it is by Inti Illimani. TIA

Go watch Putler!
The epitome of the expression "poetry in motion ".
Brilliant choreography by Christopher and brilliant skating by both! They skate as one!
The more I watch this expressive masterpiece the more. I feel the pain the distress of those who Live in the unknown future.

There is some free perfection (or perfect freedom) in the way they dance. Magic. Christopher Dean has unique talent for choreography.
Yes for me it is the most moving and beautiful. The music the skate dancing had something profound to say.
20 viewing of 'Missing' I felt emotion as with " Balcony scene Romeo and Juliette" with Nureyev and Fonteyn...

Dolencias (Albazo-type of Andean music) written by Victor Valencia Ñieto from Ecuador South America.
Ballet on Ice
@faeryquene This was T&D's program long before it was modified for the Duchesnays.
Perfect
Difficult to find right words to comment. They are Gods on the Ice.

I like the Duschenay's version too. That final lift gets me every time.

Torvil & Dean more graceful but the Duchesnays so much more passionate and powerful with more skill and daring.
