The heat meter has grown on me a little bit, but I still dislike enemies not dying in one hit. For a game that emphasizes going as fast as possible through the levels, it's only frustrating when an enemy doesn't die and you have to turn around and keep throwing them against a wall until they finally do. I know they still die if you hit them at max speed, but not all enemies are placed on a runway for you to speed up and get free kills. I also think the text is trying too hard to be funny, which is exactly what I thought about the room names too. I think PTG excels at visual humor, not written.
The new HUD looks awesome, I like the few level design changes that I've seen, and having to run back to the secret exit with the janitor is genius. I would like the TV better if it changed more often, like when Peppino runs at max speed or gets hurt, but it's still a cool addition.
(Edit) And I love the toppins redesigns!

Who No't? That HUD was from the 1st Build of this game.
It does seem to show an indicator of when Peppino sets his butt on fire on the tv, so maybe the expressions he makes at max speed will be shown there as well. 🤞 Also, I think that the little commercial that shows up sometimes is kinda funny. Especially since it also changes the music a bit, too.

Oh, it's you again, but made 3 years ago.
all the new stuff is awesome and I only have 2 nitpicks with it: i think the heat meter should be able to be turned on and off in the settings or used as hard mode or something, and peppino looks like he builds up speed to quickly when he climbs up walls but im not sure if it's because of me being used to peppino climbing slower in the SAGE demo or no. To be fair, PTG is just experimenting with new ideas so these could be changed later. Nitpicks aside, i'll miss the old HUD but the new one looks really good and I love how the toppins are so derpy now. Oh and having the janitor stone head guy unlock the door to the secret treasure is like how you needed to find Keyzer to unlock the next level in Wario Land 4 and I love it! I just hope this game does well and that OG Wario Land fans finally get to die happy.
I like the direction of the new HUD, I just hope the TV becomes more animated and dynamic later in development

I really hated that when I was forced to build around it before the CYOP mod was made, using the old level editor build.
Idk about the heat meter tbh... I just don't like the idea of the game becoming more cumbersome to play as you're doing good. I honestly think it should be saved for a new game+ And the TV is cool, but the text from it just doesn't work IMO. Idk, I hope PTG doesn't end up ruining the game...

tv text should be funny if present. Right now it just doesn't fit in well.
Heat Meter should just be difficulty or something. Megaman Zero, while a good game, didn't pull it off very well, and it was not *actively changing the level in front of you*. Plus, heat goes down too quickly that it only messes with casuals and veterans will just not get their difficulty itch.
This new build looks pretty good so far! Though I don’t really like how the enemies can just wombo combo you as shown here: 2:37 I definitely think they should add some invincibility frames. But other than that, I like the new hud! Though I think it could be more animated in the final game like in the old hud. I don’t like how it just does the same idle animation over and over. But overall, looks good! I hope they improve this even more!

Depending on how good you are (combos and other things) the heat meter goes up making enemies stronger.

I dont get why the heat meter is so controversial, its just an extra challenge for more skilled players. Although i gotta admit the tv dialogue is pretty useless and obnoxious lol (nice playthrough btw)
I'd be fine with it if it were a bit more visually understated. Also I think PTG needs a proofreader.

did those thoughts change in the new final version of pizza tower?
I really don't like the new UI... The old one is so charming and according to the situations that it makes the game feel more humourous while the telly is telegated for points. And since it's condensed into one, much of the emotions are hidden by numbers. Like the characters themselves are reduced to numbers. I just hope the devs return the old UI or at least give us options to change our UI to our liking.
