The people who say that My Hero is predictable forget that Deku literally says in the intro that it's the story of how he became the greatest hero in the world. Most shonen anime isn't really about the end result, but how they get there.
Exactly, it's exactly why the fights are dull compared to most but they tell a story.
Phils Goodman And that takes most of the dramatic tension out of nearly any scene Deku is in, there's no tension in any fight because we know that Deku goes on to eventually become the greatest hero. I think that why the scenes with All might are more popular with the Fandom as there is a chance that he could lose.

And less new stuff that's just hype for a quick second before it's forgotten again because it's actually not that good. At least from the 80s/90s you can pick the highlights that have stood the test of time.

Take Urusei Yatsura for example, one of the first romantic comedies, if it had been made today, no one would give attention to it, but since it was new for its age, the producers put a lot more effort into it since it managed to get a lot of attention. Then it managed to air through more than 100 episodes

Back in the 80's the competition was something else, creating an anime was harder, nowadays even a simple manga may get an adaptation, and this is a good thing.
Because if a good manga shows up, the chances of it getting an anime are WAY bigger nowadays.

THANK YOU. I want to print those words, frame them, and hang them up on my wall. It throws me for a loop to see how many people just don't understand this. Are they really so concerned with the outcome of an event that they can't enjoy the ride?
If I can literally write the scenes in advance of them happening beat from beat, than I am not going to enjoy them.
I personally can't watch a show if i know what is going to happen. I watch anime so that i can find unique artstyles and stories. I can't even watch my favourite anime again because i know what's going to happen.
@@Mochielite The trick is how they get there. Hero Academia does a lot of it's most creative, unique, and enjoyable things between the "predictable" moments. A show isn't just its most hype moments

Yeah, somehow people keep on saying that the final scene's acting is MUCH better in subbed, but for me the dub was perfect.
@@Termenz1 nah, in general i prefer the sub voice for most of the characters, mainly light and l, but the dubbed voice actors did quite good too. The ending was better in sub too.

I think the whole sub vs dub thing is so stupid, I prefer sub most of the time but sometimes I’ll be trying to watch anime while cleaning my room, baking, getting ready, etc so I just switch to dub. It just someone’s preference.

well you can't see in the fucking future but when the show is basic and preictable you'll predict many "plot points" and character development events. Theres is a difference between characters like Denki, Grell and Kakashi, to Characters like Mineta, Meliodas and Hisoka
How the actual heck did you use mineta and hisoka in the same sense.....Mineta is the guy Author uses for keeping the anime funny but he creeps the readers out.....whereas hisoka was the backbone of HxH.....He is so fking well written...

As someone who's still quite a greenhorn, whose most experience for a long time was the Sonic and particularly the Mario OVA's, even bits of an F-Zero adaptation from decades ago because I was such a fan of those franchises and found them on CZcams, and only until this decade, partly thanks to this friend chick I have a crush on still who I met because of video games and found out about her anime/manga co-habitating interests, as well as the meandering nature of CZcams discoveries like SootHouse's weird manga translations, Game Grumps' DDLC playthrough, Super Best Friends Play and the current solo projects following their break-up having such an interest and affinity for anime/manga, similar to most any other video game/nerd/geek people I've known or follow having this cohabitation of interests to anime/manga, plus casual knowledge of some star ones from the past like Naruto and DBZ...all that came together as I'm slowly being brought into the fold as this decade has begun, though I'm yet to watch most any anime episode, and have only watched through 2 visual novels online, yet I feel a slight, slow-burn liking to this stuff, dipping my toe into these waters countless times through any screenshot, discussion, short clip, meme, post, Pinterest pin, and comment about these art forms, so...all that to say, after exposing and rambling incessantly about my entire "filthy" casual life story history with the medium, thank you so much. You and others like _The Anime Man_ make me, a serial, habitual, chronic window shopper of this sector, feel very welcome. 🥰
Anime casuals are usually normies who don't understand most anime tropes and clowns over them especially youtube reactors, it's annoying asf and they're milking it for views even if they don't like the anime or understand wtf's going on with the characters and the plot.

Zankyou no terror is a stunning anime when it comes to visuals, soundtracks, I mean certain scenes were gorgeous. But as a whole, when you take in considerstion characters, story, plot, overall entrateinment eccetera, then it kinda starts falling short, it's not at the same level of other anime and it's defenitely not a masterpiece.
A solid 7 out of 10 thou, I enjoyed it, it was very emotional.

Seinen is not a form of anime
They are anime that are mostly watched by a particular group of people that is male adult.
It can have any form of anime from Hellsing to Berserk to K-On anything
I think you wanted to say that the form of most common type of seinen anime are the best form of anime but then also it depends on personal taste, like some like Josie, some like Shonen,etc.
And also some Josie anime can be better than many seinen anime and even some Shonen anime can be better than many seinen anime and than also many seinen anime are also good than Josie and Shonen as well.
And I think only Shoujo anime are the type of anime that have a particular form, like mostly all Shoujo anime are Romantic comedy type with almost no exception.
But that's not the case with Shonen, Josie and Seinen, they don't have a particular form of anime

Unpopular opinion: Armin is the most well developed, in-depth, and multi-dimensional character in AOT; an ENORMOUS and unprecedented feat for a non-main protagonist 'Nice Guy' (my favorite genre).

Unpopular opinion: I wish anime fans could respect each other and each other's preferences more, YES, even when it comes to *people who like sword art online*. There are many animes which I dislike but I don't talk shit about them because nobody needs that sort of negativity. I don't like SAO but if someone loves it - good for them! Anime is a form of entertainment, we're all just here to have fun and I hate how some people make it into a competition for "the best taste in anime" or whatever and make others feel like shit for enjoying something.

Meg Brock i binge watched it while sick. The only filler worry skipping was the flashbacks with seemingly no new animation. And Tsunade dream in the middle of the war should have been a movie, worth watching after instead. Otherwise I think you’d really take a lot away from the series by skipping the filler. Filler is so underrated.

Tournament arc was the only unpredictable arc in my hero though and even then it was still to some extent predictable. My hero is a very conventional shonen but the fast pacing good storytelling, amazing animation and music is what makes it great.

One Piece filler: the childhood life of Ace, Luffy, and Sabo on paramount war arc.
Naruto filler: Tsunade and Raikage goes Arm Wrestling on 4th shinobi war arc.
It's obvious which one is better and which one is delivered better.
The ending arc of Naruto was dogshit and I say this as a big fan of the serie. The War arc was just shit.
One Piece was one of my favourite series and it's much more consistent than Naruto with its arcs.

@@laurence2013 no because by fighting it means physical fighting, there always is fighting in the form of "shokugeki" (cook-offs) in Food Wars, but no physical fighting like Naruto, One Piece, DBZ, etc.
