Is this tripe from a cow? I haven’t seen tripe with a dark color before. Also what dish were you making with this? I love tripe 😭

Don't they clean up black parts!.😢
In my country, we clean that part also untill it's white in both side.
    Though I don't know the procedure 😅

It is not clean, scrub dirty side, scrape fat from other side, soak in distilled white vinegar for 15 minutes and rinse several times. Boil for 10 minutes throw that water and then it is clean and ready to cook. I would not eat it dirty like the video shows.

Sis, grab that black stuff and scrub, no be scared not going bite, cuz other wise going smell, up to you tho, I from Hawaii, i just make Poke with that thing; is perfect for when the friends come over, drink, and talk story, can fry um if that’s your style but just defrost, and then pound for pound, just eat. 🤙🏼❤️

If you use Baking Soda, which has a Basic ph level, and Vinegar, which has an acidic ph level, you're essentially creating slightly acidic water

In the Philippines we use powder detergent like Tide. It’s not proper but have been a common practice for some local butchers. It’s pretty common to slaughter a few pigs in times of celebration in my hometown and have noticed they clean the entrails of freshly butchered pigs that way. They quickly wash it in the soapy water and rinse them at least five times. We still clean store-bought entrails with salt and lime. I’ve also seen other people from my travels in Cambodia and South Korea use flour.

That's a good way to destroy your hormones and your body! Those are toxic chemicals that should never be ingested! Even in small amounts 😬
