Have to admit you are very detailed with your description of the replacement. Looked like alot of work. I went underneath this 2009 335ixdrive and took the 4 bolts off fir the stabilizer bar, 1 10mm nut on the hose line, the 2 10mm bolts on the solid line in front, and 2 10mm nuts on the steering shield to have easier access to the rear clamps. And it came out no problem. Im Canadian too and despise bmw. Would never own one.

Rodger - They drive beautifully when running right - which is rare I would agree - major gut aches for the most part

It’s best to leave the fan in and drop the sway bar and passenger side tie rod end to get access to the pump and thermostat. You don’t need to remove the fan. It does give you some extra room but it’s really not necessary. Great video. Those connectors on the hoses can be a pain in the ass.

I’ve heard that to change the thermostat that the entire water pump must be removed. Is this true? Is it much easier to replace the thermostat without removing the pump? How long does it take? Thanks.

That's a nice car scissor jack. By chance you can link us to that? And with that, can you drop the transmission and engine? I want to do my clutch soon and been looking for the right jack. Thanks. Good vid.

Hi, I am commenting early on this I'm 4 mins into the video. But do you have a How to replace water pump & Thermo on N55s? I have a 2013 335i xdrive sportline that needs both replaced and I its an arm and a leg for the labor

each part can be changed separately if need be but if the car has 100K or more it is a good idea to change both at the same time - Buying a used German car is not the deal it seems in most cases.

u did a lot of unnecessary work can be done from the bottom ling 1/4 extension and 1/4 wobbly scoket 6 mm or 7 mm to get the hose clamps 4 bolts lower the sway bar 2 bolts remove the thermostat
3 torex aluminm bolts remove the water pump. Can do it in less than am hour. Its gravy work.

The coolant level stick is too high it needs to be level with the neck or it can cause too much pressure in the system and bust something

Too much coolant will usually result in system expelling the excess volume without any harm
