I watched this for the 1st time.
Perfect documentary in the 80's.
What a wonderful day, they all smiled and looked so in love.
diana was really in love with charles..she was young and believe that charles felt the same way.He really was her prince charming.
Yes and he chose a horse over that magnificent woman!
Yes I think diana would have been diplomatic and lending a blind eye to Charles affair if she wanted to remain in the upper crest of the monarchy hoping to become queen consort one day. But all she wanted was Charles love.
I think Diana's flings with other men were a part of the war she waged to get her husband back.
If Charles have been honest to her, she would not have gone astray

I was up at 5 AM to watch the wedding of the century. It was a fairytale come to life. I even bought a Betamax tape of the wedding and watched it over and over and over again. And I think it may have been the first time this American girl was jealous and really wanted to be English. 🇬🇧
I remember during the Queen’s funeral, only me and Woody.EXE were up since 3am literally preparing last minute tributes later that morning. Woody.EXE told his fans how brave I was the whole day and the emotion we were both feeling for 17 hours is something we’ll never forget. Wales will never be the same without me and Woody.EXE in it and we’re both the most beloved royals since Queen Elizabeth II died that year. I don’t care what anyone says anymore because I’m proud of being Queen even if we’ve only reigned for 2 years and a lot has happened since Thursday 8th September 2022
If it had worked, it would have been one of the most beautiful and enchanting things to remember in the entire twentieth century.

My Mummy’s wedding to my stepdad was close as Prince Charles and Diana’s. I was celebrating my 1st anniversary with my beloved war then. I was just 11 at the time and I’m now almost 20. Hard to believe this day was nearly 9 years ago

And Mummy’s wedding was 20 years later after Diana’s to my dad in late 2000. Mummy was just 21 then

I’ll get this love from everyone of Wales when my beloved War turns 10 years old on Monday 18th July 2022. I’ve planned celebrations for 7/8 years. I well remember meeting the war in 2012 on our Year 5 trip to Cardiff castle and little did I know that the war was waiting for me soon as I approached the gates of the castle. I went back there in 2018 for the wars 7th anniversary

The last proper one was my Mummy’s 2nd wedding to my stepdad in September 14th, 2013. And they’re still together nearly 9 years later
Such great memories of watching the wedding on TV. I was a young girl and totally in awe of it all. Love programmes from the 80s. No quick camera shots, credits the roll at a speed you can read. TV is too frantic now. Diana really was my fairytale Princess.
Mummy was 2 when this happened and 18 at Diana’s funeral. Then dad married Mummy 21 years later after Diana it only lasted 7 years. Then had me at 23 in July 20th 2002. I can’t believe I’ve made it to 20
Watching how people got excited and prepared for the wedding in the beginning of the video is more interesting than the wedding itself

Diana was my age as I’m almost 20 now and I wouldn’t have even made it to 20 if I hadn’t survived being seriously ill but thanks to the NHS I’ve made it 2 decades and my beloved War will be celebrating its 10th anniversary at the same time as my 20th birthday, I have a huge celebration planned and for the Holocaust’s 4th anniversary with me next week

9:11 the speech from the Late Earl Spencer was quite touching - showed a lot of aristocratic loyalty towards their monarch and country. Also Countess Raine Spencer was absolutely gorgeous!
I guess he was reminding viewers that Diana was a lady, an Earl's daughter , that the Spencer family has centuries aristocratic heritage, and direct ties to the BRfamily. She's the ONLY REAL modern day royal bride that I accept. I don't really like ANY of the modern ones (Kate and Meghan nor Fergie nor Sophie, for good measure),necessarily.

I love this ITN footage. It gives you a completely different view of the ceremony than the official BBC broadcast, partially because the ITN camera was aimed directly on Charles during the vows. From this angle, you can see that they were in love on their wedding day. 27:52: When she flubs his name, look at the adorable smile from Charles. The BBC cameras completely blocked him out during her vows, so the viewer never saw that. Also, she held his hand during the beginning, another thing not seen on BBC.

Lmao. Charles was raised on how to behave. He married her because he was pushed into it. Of course he treated her decently. He figured tht was enough. She herself said walking up the isle felt like a lamb to the slaughter. The spencers pushed her to this too. This was a feather in their family cap. Look how her hagly sisters treated her. Janes husband was a coutier. Diana and Sarah called him "bellows"

Yes, I know Charles was taught how to behave, but everyone’s masks slip occasionally; we’re only human. Watch when he’s saying his vows: for a majority of it, he’s looking straight ahead, but looks at Diana when he says, “to love and to cherish.” Also, watch the slow smile that comes across his face when he realizes Diana flubbed his name. He was charmed by her.

All this reminds me of my love for the War and it’s lasted for nearly a decade. I didn’t think I’d make that but I’m glad it happened. Love you my beloved 1940 of 10 years. I didn’t think my love for the Holocaust wouldn’t last 4 years but it’s the 4th anniversary next week and hopefully more years to come.

I have watched this beautiful ceremony and the promises before God, family and congregation Charles made to this young beautiful, innocent woman and lied, I get sick to my stomach. Camilla waited in the background while Diana provided the Crown with two wonderful boys and basically worked to save her marriage while Camilla worked her witchery taunting, seducing magic on Charles. Diana will live forever in my heart.
I remember the day well even though I was only 8. We had bunting out on the street flags and union flag hats. We sat down to watch the wedding and then……a power cut. We were off on our toes around the corner to my mum’s friends house and we watched the wedding there. I still have my ceremonial jam spoon. What a lovely wedding and great couple. I wish them both every happiness. I’m sure they’ll last the course. What can possibly go wrong? 😉

This was ITN - Commercial Television funded by adverts. Far more casual than the BBC. I found it amusing to see "Odd job men" in T shirts and jeans sorting out the Cathedral while the guests were arriving. You wouldn't get that oin the BBC coverage.
