Lovely collection, cacti are awesome 😁 The most important thing to anyone wanting to start their own cactus collection is go easy on the watering, once a week is plenty during the growing season as you say. Give them plenty of light and use and very well draining soil mix. You’ll be surprised just how easy these plants are to care for. Happy growing 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜

When you said pendejo I thought ok you are cool but you just got way more cool points for that.
I know you mention not knowing the proper way to pronounce some of the Latin names of plants. If you go to the Missouri botanical garden website click on gardens and gardening then select plant finder under your garden, you can search for the plant. When you do that click on the plant and on the next page next to the name there is a speaker icon. Click that and it will say the proper pronunciation of the word. I hope that helps.

I started growing cactus seeds in March. They are doing great. It takes so long to grow them to any size that I may need to will them to my daughter. 😂 It has been a fun process watching them slllllooooowwwwly grow! ❤️✌🏻🌿🍃🌱

I bought one small cactus last year in a 2in pot fir my grandson.. it was intened to teach him about caring for a house plant...well its been a year.. its a mammallaria type. Its about 5in tall now! So, bought ball cactus..now I'm more interested in knowing how it grows..it has pups now! So, in conclusion, I have 4 different kinds and now I'm ready to see them bloom!!! Awesome plants!!!

I always had a few cactus, but never really payed them that much attention. I recently purchased some more, including some different cactus seeds I am growing. I have the cactus bug now. I regret killing an old man cactus I had for twenty + years. It drowned and rotted because I did not repot it. The roots clogged up the pot and there was a lot of cold winter rain back a few years ago. I'm blaming my shift work I used to do. I made a skull pot this week out of spare tile cement. I will paint it Mexican Candy Skull style and put a nice cactus in it. You have some very nice cacti. I did not realize the pattern on the bishops cap were tiny spines. The odd little cactus piece in the pot with your Euphorbia Snowflake looks like a red spine ladies finger (Mammillaria Elongata). I have a nice one of those. Great enjoyable video.

Hi Ashley, I remember when you started getting hooked on cactus, boy you really have grown your collection. Cactus are tough🤔 i have a bunch and am never sure when to water. I hear that once a month is fine and yet you are saying weekly, which really surprised me. I also have a few lithops because they intrigued me. When the heck do you water them 🤣 sqriveled could mean you should water them OR leave them alone because they are going to produce an offspring or whatever... help I`m confused 😣🤣 also I love the paper cactus too! Just haven't seen one yet. Thanks for sharing your collection 😊

Hi Ashley- loved the video!!! All your plants look great. I love the bishop's caps!!! they are so cute. Do they bloom? I had a what we called an Organ Cactus(looks like organ pipes) The flowers are white,large and beautiful. They only bloom at night and the flowers are closed by the next morning. Got up at midnight to take pics of them,so that they were fully open. Wow!!!!

The small cactus you have with your Euphorbia snowflake is a Mammillaria elongata 'copper king' , and your unnamed trio of old man cactus I believe are Espostoa lanata, they look like the one I have, nice collection and great video.

Hi Ashley, can I be your Australian planty friend. I have heaps of cacti, some from my Grandmother, so they are very, very old friends..I am nearly 80, so some could be 150 years old. Love your collection. Your presentation and filming is easy on the eye an ear. Busy now putting some together for two of my grandchildren, both Marco (13) and Riley (17) are getting an Old Woman and an Old Man cactus for this new year.
